Sister mommy Olaitan,

I missed you. I love you like my own mother. You have seen me as your own daughter. I will always miss you whenever you call me "Ocean ocean....." I will always miss your comforting voice. We've never met in person but spiritually we are connected and have the same faith loving Jesus Christ and love His Words the Words of God our Father the Holy Gospel of Truth. We shared the same story and loving the Holy Spirit knowing that the Spirit of God has never left our side. My heart is broken knowing you've gone but at the same time my heart, my spirit and my soul rejoice knowing that you've returned Home with God our Father. You have fought the good fight, you've finished the race, you've kept your faith in Jesus Christ our Holy Saviour.

Now I understand what the Word of God means and said in John 4:23-24 "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

You know your hour is coming and you have drawn yourself closer to God our Holy Father and Jesus Christ with the communion of the Holy Spirit. You have grown strong in worshipping Him in spirit and truth and you have kept your faith till the very end. You are a great example. I am forever grateful to God our Father and Jesus Christ for having met you on Smule in 2021 and had a chance to sing praises and worship with you, praying and fasting together, sharing testimonies, standing and supporting each other whenever one of us in the group members were sick, broken, needed prayer support. We have standing and supporting each other in the spirit, uplifting one another in prayer. I will never forget you and your kindness. You have a wonderful heart and you are a good hearted person. You have encouraged many who are facing difficulties to stand strong and firm. You have led many by your good example. You have given a good impact to the people around you to not lose hope or give up on God.

I will keep your family in my prayers and I will always remember you. Until we meet again in the House of God our Holy Father and Creator in His holy heaven on the day of resurrection to be united with our Lord Jesus Christ our Holy Saviour, God our Father and with the Holy Spirit. I will continue to fight the good fight and to keep my faith. I bless God for your life on earth and I will always remember you. Until then, till we meet again in heaven my dear beloved sister and mother. Rest well now.

Oh Light-On) is alive and Lives On in Christ!

Matthew 5:16 (KJV):
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

Her departure leaves a void in my heart that cannot be filled. Laitan’s life was a testament to her passion for music and dance art, her unwavering faith, and her dedication to uplifting and supporting those around her. Her presence was like light — warm, steady, and full of grace. She didn’t seek attention, yet she had a way of touching lives simply by being herself.

I loved to call her “Legacy” because she truly is a living legacy. Whether it was lending a listening ear, offering help without being asked, or lifting others with her strong support, her good works were seen and felt by everyone who truly knew her.

She had a strength that didn’t need to be spoken. You saw it in how she faced life’s challenges, and how she carried others when they couldn’t carry themselves. She was a sister, a daughter, a friend, and for many of us, a source of encouragement when we needed it most.

Rest well Egbon mi owon, in Jesus Christ’s loving arms, my beautiful sister. Your light will never fade from our hearts. Light On! Her Legacy Lives on! All glory and praise to Awaridi, Olododo in total surrender 🙌🏼

Tribute to Our Beloved Sister-in-Law, Olaitan Lawal (née Oyefuga)

With deep pain, yet profound gratitude to God, we, the Lawal family, come together to honour the life and legacy of our dearly beloved sister-in-law, Olaitan Lawal (née Oyefuga). A remarkable woman whose faith, love, and quiet strength blessed all who knew her.

Olaitan was more than a sister-in-law; she was truly a sister in heart, a confidant, and a source of light within our family. Her gentle nature, grace-filled presence, and unwavering devotion to God and family made her a rare gem, one whose loss we feel deeply but whose memory we will cherish forever.

She was a devoted Christian, a true woman of prayer whose life was rooted in faith. Her words were often laced with Scripture, and her actions reflected the love and compassion of Christ. She carried a quiet spiritual authority, interceding for her family, lifting others in prayer, and anchoring her home in godly values. Her unwavering trust in God, even in difficult times, inspired all of us.

Olaitan was also a loving mother to her three beautiful daughters, raising them with wisdom, tenderness, and a heart full of prayer. Her devotion to her children was evident in everything she did. From her gentle guidance to her sacrifices, and the values she instilled in them. She was a nurturing soul, and her legacy will live on through them.

She was a peacemaker, a unifier, and a quiet strength in our family. Her smile lit up rooms, and her calm presence brought comfort and hope. It is hard to imagine our lives without her, but we are comforted knowing she now rests in the presence of the Lord she loved so dearly.

We pray that the Almighty God, the Father of all comfort, will grant her eternal rest in His glory, and that He will strengthen her husband, her daughters, and everyone who mourns her. May we honour her memory by living with the same grace, love, and faith that she so beautifully embodied.

Rest in perfect peace, dear Olaitan.
Your memory lives on in our hearts.
With love.

My dearest little Smule Sister. Where do I start? I am heartbroken, and absolutely lost for words. I’m not long getting this news of your heavenly walk. I can hardly think of words right now because my heart is so heavy. I am completely in shock my precious little sister. You had something to tell me, but you never sent me the message. I know that you are with the Lord and I will see you again. Your Spirit, your smile, your light, and your love for the Lord, is something that I will never forget. Your beautiful voice like an angel, one also… I will never forget. Rest peacefully my little sister and gentle one. Sing and rejoice now in heaven, with the angels.

To the family -my condolences and may God continue to comfort you during this very difficult time.

Olaitan mi,

Though my heart is heavy from your departure from this world, my joy comes from knowing that you are with our Heavenly Father.
You were devoted to Him till the very end and that I know was pleasing to Him.
Your courage and strength will always be a testimony of encouragement and comfort to those who hear your story.
I’m grateful to God for surrounding you with so much love in your last days . You kept saying you were so overwhelmed with gratitude by the love you were being shown and I said to you that God never forgets His own.

You told me in one of our last conversations that one thing that you are grateful for is that all your friends you had spoken with had a relationship with Jesus. That brought you so much joy.

My memories from our time together which we discussed recently was how you were the one who taught me how to cook fried rice and wrap moi moi in the leaves… We laughed when I reminded you of those times. You were always ready to help.

You exuded the love of Christ in all our conversations . I will share an excerpt of one of the messages you sent me to encourage everyone who reads this…

Message to me from Olaitan:

“”Aseyi owu!: He does as it pleases him.

Ijinle ife
Eleburu Ike

Elohim kedeem... God of our beginning
Elohim marom ... God of heights
Elohim Tehilati..... God of praises and thanks.

Call him by his names
All we need is in his word.”””

Ore mi, you will be dearly missed. I’m grateful to God that I had the opportunity to see your beautiful smile and hear your voice.

I know we will see each other again in eternity where our true home is.
You fought the good fight and completed the assignment God gave you.
Praise God for an amazing daughter who lived a life dedicated to doing His will.

A Tribute to Olaitan Lawal

Today, I write with a heavy heart in honour of my sister-in-law whom I loved dearly.

Olaitan, this name cannot leave my lips, you embody grace, compassion, and resilience.
Olaitan carries strength in her silence. She may not look it but she's a strong woman who knows how to take charge of her moments.

She loves excellence and always fights for it.
No negative energy around her.
She loves her space and if you're in her space, you'll appreciate her private life.

A tribute at this time is the last thing I expected. Olaitan's time with me feels far too short, I wish I can have her back for a moment and have some discussions with her atleast.
I have not gotten enough of Olaitan, I miss you so much.

You could do anything for me. If it's not convenient, you'd say "it's Yinka now".

Olaitan Lawal, thank you for the moments we shared, they are priceless. You are deeply appreciated, genuinely loved, and endlessly cherished.

I met a lady recently who looks so much like you and I called to tell you that I found your lookalike.
We talked about life and your business "Venus Health",
I had no clue that all we discussed wasn't going to come to a reality.
It is so hard to say goodbye at this time.

See you at resurrection.

Olaitan,

With a heavy heart, I write this. It’s hard to understand why such a wonderful life was cut short. You were my in-law, yet you felt more like a daughter to me. Your laughter, kindness, and loving spirit will never be forgotten. You were an amazing person, and your absence will be deeply felt. You will always be remembered as a wonderful soul who brought so much love and joy to our family.

Rest on Dear!

She was a good wife, deliberate in all her actions. Olaitan was a strong motivator to everyone she came across. She would always find excuses why you deserve the best. Gentle and kind hearted. She was an epitome of beauty and would go out of her way to create beauty out of obscurity. A lover in her own unique way. She loved her parents totally to no fault. Send a serpent her way and she ll send you a Rose in return. A mother that made her children proud. Songs may sound nice but the embellishments she added to songs turned singing to moment of joy. Olaitan had the strenght common to man. You will forever be remembered my love. Sùn re o Ololufẹ

Olaitan ore mi! It’s still like a dream to me. Are you really gone?! Ah! My heart aches. Your voice keeps ringing in my head and the spark in your eyes the last time I saw you is unforgettable. Ore mi, I’m missing you more and more everyday.
Met you 17yrs ago at the marriage counselling sessions and your demure drew me close to you. Your selflessness(you were still concerned about your younger sister in the UK even in your last days),your generosity, beauty, intelligence, kindness, courage, compassion for others is highly inspiring. You were a mother par excellence, you took care of your children like eggs, your voice was like drinking chilled water in hot summer. I didn’t have a clue you had finished your own script in the play of life, but you didn’t live in vain ore mi, you’ll forever live in my heart. People envied you because you were exceptional but that didn’t stop you, you kept going. I’m very proud to be called your friend and when you were here, you knew that too. You have gone to rest from all the troubles of this world, we that are left should also know that one day we will all die, except those that will be here when Jesus Christ returns. If you are reading this tribute, have you thought of where you will spend your eternity? Heaven is real, so is also hell. I beseech you to accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour today so that you can make it to heaven on the last day.
Olaitan ore mi, I love so much but Jesus loves you even more. Rest on, till we meet again.

My sister came to visit us in OOUTH and we had a program in the school fellowship (RCF). All she kept asking after the program was about the lady with the beautiful voice who was trying so hard to cover her mouth! Ivalways wondered why you always covered your mouth when you had such a beautiful smile! Olaitan, you will be missed. Your beautiful voice and beautiful face will never be forgotten. May God bless your soul and all your loved ones. Keep on shining!

Olaitan

Though my heart aches at your departure, I take solace in the warmth I felt in your voice when we spoke a few weeks back. You were strong, unshaken and cracked jokes while we spoke about your journey: unmistakable faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

I honour the memory of a dear friend whose life was a beautiful song, one that touched many hearts. I marvel at your courage and strength. In every season, especially the difficult ones, you stood firm, calm in trials, steady in hope. Even to the end, you clung not to fear, but to God, trusting Him with every breath. You had always had that quiet resolve to triumph over circumstances.

Rest well, dear friend in the bosom of our Lord.
For those you now watch from heaven, I pray they find strength and comfort in the Grace of our heavenly father.

My dear Olaitan, aka melodius nightingale.
We met in our first year of university. My friend who revealed only half her face. What was behind the covered hands many of us wondered. Oh how I teased you. I eventually yanked off that hand and behold, a dazzling smile with a beautiful diasthema.
Oh you told many stories of "deddy" and your family. You taught me to make chapati.
Our year together in Biochemistry brought us so much closer. Through our shared aspirations, we were determined to prove that we were good enough or even better. We did!. You were a Pharmacist par excellence, demonstrated utmost professionalism and utterly devoted to your calling including the discovery of the business side of you.
Your home in Adeniyi Jones was a haven for me. Adopting your sisters as mine too. Many
walks together to my cousin's house down the road as we shared hopes for the future like young people do.
Then you met your beloved Gboyega. He swept you off your feet and you were utterly besotted. You named your 2nd princess, Oluwaseyifunmi. I said you couldn't bear to let me out of your sight. Of course in typical Laitan fashion, I got a long hiss to that statement. Despite continents seperating us,our friendship stayed solid. Sometimes going for years without speaking, we always remembered one another's birthdays and picked up from from the last gist, whenever we connected.
Ore mi...your legacy lives on in your beautiful daughters. You fought a good fight. I remember our last chat, you said to me " I am in the hands of my Father".
Indeed, we are comforted knowing that you are cradled in the loving embrace of our Father.
Sun re o, Olaitan.

My dear friend Olaitan,
You are a beautiful soul. It has been a great honour knowing you. You were more than a friend to me, you were my sister. From the days in Pharmacy school, to working together during work experience and meeting in church on Sundays after graduation, I always looked forward to seeing you. You always knew how to brighten the day with your laughter and beautiful voice.

Though I’m heartbroken, I trust in the Lord, He knows best. I take comfort in the knowledge that you belong to God Almighty. I thank God for the life you have in Christ Jesus. May God comfort your family and strengthen them.

My sister, my friend, child of the most High God, you fought a good fight, rest in the arms of our loving Abba Father. You will be missed.

Today, i honor and celebrate my dear friend, Olaitan whose life was a beautiful reflection of faith, love, and unwavering devotion to God. Olaitan was more than just a friend— she was one of my sisters in the 'G7 clan (Gorgeous 7)' and was light in the lives of all who knew her.
Worship was not just something she did; it was who she was. In every word spoken, every song sung, and every prayer whispered, she poured out love to her Heavenly Father, 'Aseyiowu' as she fondly called him.
Even in her trials, she clung to God with a faith that strengthened all of us. In her final days, she felt so much love surrounding her, and I truly believe she found peace in it. Though her absence leaves an ache in our hearts, we can take comfort in knowing she has found rest in heaven, embraced by eternal love and light. My heart and prayers are with you all during this time.”

Rest in His glory, my dear friend, Olaitan.
You were a true worshipper, and your praise lives on.
