You have left a big hole in our hearts but, we have so many memories with you and Jen; our holiday in Italy with that bloody steep hill and the sand that was so hot we had to hop, skip and jump to get to the small sea! Majorca when your credit card wouldn't work and the huge jugs of beer and buckets of gin. Our time spent at Sheringham sat on the grass doing the crosswords. We had so many laughs, you were the best.

Dear Jenn, Daughters & Granddaughters. We have only known Norman for a short time, through Jenn & Jan’s love if lace and crafts. Roy & Norman ‘hit it off’ immediately spending many hours together sharing anecdotes, jokes and stories while Jenn & Jan did ‘our thing’. We both found Norman to be such easy company, lighthearted, funny, knowledgeable and all round good company. When we think of him now it will always be with a smile because he had that effect on you, Thank you Norman, it was truly a pleasure to have known you.

My memories of Norman go back a long way. We used to live opposite to each other and I joined a singles club. One of our main events was a pyjama party which was greatly enjoyed by all the neighbours and repeated annually. One time Norman decided to go for a walk after the party (to help with the hangover) and was stopped by the police asking why he was walking round in his pyjamas. Norman replied that he had been to a pyjama party and the policeman responded by saying they never got invited to parties (I won't tell you what Norman's response was).
Another memory I have is of building a little wall at the front of my garden, Norman and Pete came over (I thought to help me) but they bought deck chairs and sat and watched me build the wall.
Norman was always a fun, easy going person willing to help everyone with everything they needed (except build walls). We will all miss him

The first time I met Norman can only be described as a “bullseye in time” one of those life moments nobody will ever forget. Norman Lewin’s BBQ - Euro ‘96 England vs Holland 18th June 1996. I’d left home and moved to Birmingham in September 1995, I was only just 19 at the time and was really quite homesick that first year - so when offered the chance to meet back up with all my mates to watch the football I jumped at the chance - I probably needed it even more than an England win at the time to be honest. Won’t Norman mind us all piling round his house??? No of course not!!! And what a pivotal life moment in time that evening became. I’d been sitting in a bar full of Dutch and Scotland fans the week before close to Villa Park so the tournament felt closer to home for me than any before it. We all turned up round Norman’s house and what an evening - the football was unbelievable - one of the best nights England have ever had but we all remember it for being “Norman’s BBQ”. Somehow I ended up cooking a load of sausages that night on Norman’s BBQ - probably burnt most of them in all honesty- but Norman always mentioned it to me whenever we met up even years later like I’d done him a massive favour and that sums him up. We all had the best night ever - and even if we’d all been at Wembley that night it wouldn’t have been better. He absolutely loved that occasion - we all did - and nearly 30 years later (and counting) we still talk about it.
So as much as we did say thank you when we went home on that night in June 1996 full of joy, beer and BBQ it seems poignant to say it again here now - Thank you Norman - for being a total and utter LEGEND and particularly for inviting us to the best BBQ EVER!! Hopefully you’re up there somewhere with that evening on repeat - I’m sure you are mate xx

To my very good friend Norm. You will be sorely missed.
We had some wonderful times with so much laughter together - shared many funny stories and also some good winnings on the nags - thanks mainly to you!
Condolences to your family. Rest in peace.
Jim.
Ps I’ve added a photo from my plastic logic work leaving do from may13. And, thanks again for driving me home that night. Top top man, as ever! That’s how you’ll always be remembered by us.

It was lovely to have met most, if not all, of the Lewin family since being with my late husband Hugh. I have a thought in my mind of Norman and Hugh encountering one another 'above', reminiscing about all the fabulous times shared by them over the many years.
I am also glad that I managed to visit Norman and Jenny in 2023 in Devon.
My thoughts are with you, everyone.

I mostly remember Norman collecting his Granddaughter's from the primary school in his distinctive hat, always smiling and up for chatting. Sadly missed x

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Norman. I worked with him for a number of years on various projects at Dominio.
He was, without doubt one of the nicest and kindest people I’ve known. He had a wicked sense of humour which made working with him an absolute pleasure.
My thoughts are with Jen, Suzanne and AJ.

Uncle Norman
I was bridesmaid at your wedding to Aunty Jenny before we moved to Oz - loved getting to know you when I was older and began to travel and absolutely loved it when you came over to visit not once but twice
Loved your cheeky smile and wicked sense of humour
We enjoyed feeding you our delicious large sweet juicy prawns which you did seem to love
Gaz really enjoyed his day out with you to Duxford - you were driving down the road towards it and there was a spitfire buzzing about you said they put that show on just for Gaz
We will miss you
When we came over in 1992 you hugged me so tight when we said goodbye my contact lens popped out - we still laugh about that today
We treasure all our memories of you and hope you are safe and happy wherever you are

When I think of Norm my first thoughts are What a bloody good bloke. I have so many happy memories, from cricket, to man utd, to euro 96. The Holland game will forever be a brilliant memory, and if you were there then you will know what I mean. He was one of the good guys, a legend, someone you would enjoy spending time with, great company and just a bloody good bloke. Thanks for the brilliant memories mate, and rest in peace.

How do i begin to articulate what you meant to me.
Impossible.
From day one you showed me warmth and friendship. But you also made me understand how important it was to look after family and especially your youngest daughter Suzanne.
Once I had gained your trust.
You let me in.
What a wonderful place to be that became.
The feeling of belonging, camaraderie, friendship and family. We had it all, Monarchs, you used to say...
We had a WhatsApp group named 'Cosa nostra' and I think that says it all.
Norm. You and I became the best of friends but you also became a father figure and someone I could turn to for some sound advice whenever I needed it ,Something i never had at times.
I will forever remember the laughs and bloody hell they were plethoric. Abundant even. Possibly bountiful and certainly inexhaustible.
You were a Wordsmith of the finest levels. An architect of eloquence and we enjoyed the excellence of words over the years.
You leave the biggest hole in our lives.
I can't quite accept you have gone.
I will miss you forever

Met Norm for the first time as we were both starting at Camscan the same morning in 1977. We became next door neighbours a couple of years later. I also worked with Norm at Willett. Sheila and I have been friends with Norm and family all this time. We have so many happy, indelible memories of his warmth humour and generosity.
He was an absolutely brilliant friend, neighbour and work colleague.

I worked with Norman for many years in the drawing office at Domino Printing. Norman was renowned for giving his work colleagues nicknames. He called me ‘Goose’ as I had an ornamental one in my garden. When Norman boasted about acquiring a rather large shed, he was overwhelmingly given the nickname ‘Shedder’.
Thanks for the fun memories Shedder

Dear Norman, we were deeply sorry to hear of your passing recently. You touched so many with your beautiful nature. We remember fondly your Aussie adventure - trip of a life time! You had a ball visiting the Melbourne Cricket Ground (or better known to locals…MCG) and also the Formula One! Thank you for sharing so many great memories with us as well your wisdom, generosity and kindness. Gone but not forgotten - I know you’ll be watching AJ, Suzanne and the grandchildren guiding them in death as you did in life. You will be dearly missed RIP all our love Victoria, Tony and Alex xxx

Norman was a man who could talk to anyone, anywhere. His kindness, honesty, sense of humor and positivity will remain in my memory. His positive aura made you want to be around Him.
It was a privilege to know someone like Norman.
My deepest condolences to the family and friends.

It is only after a passing that we truly understand what came before. It is only then that we notice what a loved one brought to our world and how that world will never be the same again. I met Norman several times, and every single one of those times he was smiling, laughing and easy to be around (a rare talent). He was funny and kind and open. He was fiercely proud of his family. He was so full of life. My heartfelt condolences.

Thank you Norm for joining us in our Super6 league and all the friendly rivalry (well I think it was friendly 😁) with your family supporting the “reds” and ours the “blues”.
We also enjoyed the fun with you at Christmas when our daughter Nicki put photos of the activities of the naughty elves on 23snaps, and we all tried to out pun each other. Thank you for the fun and puns and laughter (and a few groans 😁), you were king of the puns.
As Nicki said when she heard the sad news “Christmas won’t be the same without Norm”. We will miss you but you won’t be forgotten.
With our love
