Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of my mother, Maria “Nora” L. Echeverri, who left us to be with the Lord on October 3, 2024. Born in Bogotá, Colombia, she was a vibrant soul who embraced life with warmth and generosity. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, she filled our lives with love and joy. Nora was known for her incredible culinary skills, always eager to gather family and friends around her table. Her cooking was not just a meal but a way of showing her love. She had a special gift for making everyone feel at home and cherished.
A passionate salsa dancer, she brought energy and spirit to the dance floor, twirling and laughing with abandon until she couldn’t anymore. Her love for life and her unwavering care for others were evident in everything she did. Her faith in the "Almighty God" helped her through the toughest times. Nora leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire all who know her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her spirit will live on in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held on October 26th (her birthday) at Iglesia Centro de Vida to celebrate her beautiful life.
Rest in peace, dear mom. Your light will shine forever in our hearts.

Con profundo pesar, anunciamos que mi mami, Maria “Nora” L. Echeverri, paso con el Señor y nos dejó el Octubre 3, 2024. Nacida en Bogotá, Colombia, fue un alma vibrante que abrazó la vida con calidez y generosidad. Como madre, abuela, hermana, tía y amiga, llenó nuestras vidas de amor y alegría. Nora era conocida por sus increíbles habilidades culinarias, siempre deseosa de reunir a familiares y amigos alrededor de su mesa. Cuando cocinaba no era solo una comida; era una forma de expresar su amor. Tenía un don especial para hacer que todos se sintieran en casa y valorados.
Apasionada por bailar salsa, llenaba la pista de baile con energía y alegría, girando y riendo hasta que ya no pudo. Su amor por la vida y su dedicación inquebrantable a los demás eran evidentes en todo lo que hacía. Su fe en el "Dios Todopoderoso" la ayudo a enfrentar los tiempos mas dificiles. Nora deja un legado de amor y bondad que seguirá inspirando a todos los que la conocieron. La extrañaremos profundamente, pero su espíritu vivirá en nuestros corazones.
Se llevará a cabo un servicio memorial el Octubre 26 (dia de su cumpleanos) en la Iglesia Centro de Vida para celebrar su hermosa vida.
Descanse en paz, querida mami. Tu luz brillará por siempre en nuestros corazones.

We will come together to remember and honor the wonderful person my mother was. While we mourn the loss of our dear Nora, we also aim to cherish the moments shared and the joy she brought into our lives. Your presence would mean a great deal to us during this time of remembrance and reflection. We will have a reception at the same location immediately following the service.
