Obituary
Noel Repullo Tormon, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on September 15, 1940, in Negros Occidental, Philippines, Noel was the eldest of eight children of Vicente Tormon Sr. and Concepcion Repullo-Tormon.
Noel met Alice Manalansan, his wife of 54 years, in Manila through a mutual friend. A few years after getting married, the young couple moved from the Philippines to Chicago, IL. They eventually settled in Jacksonville, FL in 1986, and established deep roots in the community.
Noel is survived by his loving wife, Alice Tormon; children Aileen Tormon, Arlene (Mark) Weirich, and Neil (Sandy) Tormon; grandchildren Amelia, Ava, Evan, and Mia; and siblings Vicente Jr., Armi, Brando, and Rizalde. He also leaves behind a large extended family including cousins, in-laws, nephews, nieces, friends, and many others. He was preceded in death by siblings Carmelo, Armando, and Antonio.
Known for his welcoming smile, warm laugh, and generous heart, Noel loved ballroom dancing with Alice. He served as a treasurer of the Knights of Columbus and usher at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Dining out was a shared treat for Noel and Alice, and some of his favorite foods included Southern-style BBQ, Asian cuisine, pizza, and dessert. In addition to being devoted to family and active in his community, Noel enjoyed a long career in accounting before his retirement.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Noel's memory to Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Jacksonville.
