Nyambeni Victoria Makhuvha-Thovhogi

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7)
Obituary
I was born on 22 September 1953 to Rev. Emanuel Makhuvha and my mother Sostina Makhhuvha. My early years began in Johannesburg before my family returned to Venda, where I grew up surrounded by faith and love.
I pursued my education with diligence, completing matric at Lwenzhe Secondary School and later attending Venda College of Education. My professional journey began in teaching, but soon extended into healthcare administration. For more than three decades, I served faithfully at Tshilidzini Hospital, Polokwane Provincial Hospital, and the National Health Laboratory Service, until my retirement in 2018.
In 1979, I married my beloved husband, Mr. Ntevheleni Justice Thovhogi. Together, we were blessed with six children and later cherished seven grandchildren, who became the joy of my life.
My Christian faith was the foundation of everything I did. I devoted myself to the Uniting Reformed Church, where I was known as a prayer warrior and an active leader in women’s ministries. Prayer was my strength, and service was my calling.
Beyond the church, I sought to uplift women in my community through prayer groups and financial empowerment initiatives. My life was marked by love, faith, and dedication to my family, my church, and my community.
Though my earthly journey has ended, I rest now in eternal peace, grateful for the life I lived and the love I shared.

Memory Wall
We invite you to share your fondest memory of her.

"Lord, I'm thinking of my sister Nyambeni Victoria Thovhogi today. She served You through woman ministry and church outreach, inspiring many with her faith.
Father, grant her soul peace and comfort in Your presence. Thank You for the love and memories we shared.
'Father, I thank You for the gift of salvation... I declare that I am redeemed and restored' .
Lord, as we celebrate Nyambeni's life, may those she's touched accept Jesus as their Savior. May this gift of salvation be her lasting legacy.
May everyone who attends her memorial programme open their hearts to You. Guide them to surrender to Your love and truth.
To her family it is at this testing moment that we should abide in the Lord
Rest in peace,
Mrs Nyambeni Thovhogi🙏.
My sister Mrs Maitele, brother Musanda Richard-Allen, the whole Makhuvha and Thovhogi families, my sincerest condolences.

It feels impossible that you're gone. you were my best friend, my history, and my future, all rolled into one.Every sweet memory, every shared secret, every silly giggle reminds me of you. Everyone agree that you were quiet, but to me, you were my loudest, vessel. I will miss our us moments.
Thank you for being my confidante and my rock.Your spirit dances in my heart, and I'll carry your light with me always. You taught me so much about, praying, forgiving and above all living a blameless life. Those hours we had on the phone each day were rich, and i will miss them so much.
Thank you for your endless love. I find comfort knowing you're in the bossom of Abraham singing Hallelujah with the angels.
Thank you for being my sister. I love you endlessly, to the cross and back. I hold onto the hope that we'll meet again. Rest in eternal peace.

"We gather today to celebrate the life of Nyambeni Victoria Makhuvha, a warrior of faith, a champion of prayer. Her unwavering trust in the Lord inspired us all. She fought battles unseen, held on to hope, and left a legacy of love. Her memory will forever be a blessing 🙏😔.
Rest in peace, Nyambeni."
"Blessed are those who die in the Lord; they will rest from their labors." — Revelation 14:13
We love you, Mom, and we will never forget you.

Yet hear your voice through heaven’s halls.
Your laughter lingers in the air,
A gentle touch, still everywhere.
You were my anchor, strong and true,
My heart’s safe place, my home was you.
Through every storm, through joy and pain,
Your love was my unending gain.
Though now the world feels cold and wide,
I feel you walking by my side.
In every sunset’s golden hue,
I’ll find a piece of me and you.
So rest, my love, in peaceful skies,
Where angels sing and tears all dry.
Until the day we meet once more,
I’ll keep your love—my heart’s deep core.

Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.
