Grief never ends… but it changes. It's a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith… it is the price of love.

Your departure has brought immense sadness that is difficult to put into words. Nathan, be assured that your absence will be felt more deeply than you could ever envision. Having you as a brother has been a privilege. Until we meet again.

We talked about a lot and you gave me motivation to keep going on, you were the guy who saved me from a dark time in the army. Many times. I wish you knew how much you are appreciated in my life and everyone. May you find the top gun in heaven and make it rain brother .

I have searched frantically for pictures of us. And cried thinking this couldn't be, why!? Nathan, i pray Jesus lets you see now how loved you were. I'd give anything to hug you and whisper into your ear how loved you are. I couldn't find the pictures and i got mad about that, then i remembered your hug. Your kindness. Your laughter and goofiness. Your dorkiness, it was some of my fondest memories of you. I hold them in my heart forever until we can see each other again. I miss you Nathan Kovacs, you will forever be so very special to my heart and soul.

I have been truly blessed to have gained you as a brother when I married into the family. You always cared so much for those around you and adored Mara.
I will miss your quick wit and sense of humor. You could never keep your smile from popping out no matter how serious you tried to look. I hope that the next time something embarrassing happens to one of us, you are looking down watching and laughing your butt off in heaven. Love you, Nathan.
