Obituary

Nancy would want to be remembered for the love she had for her family. She met the love of her life Bob "Chubba" at age 13. Her devotion to him was unwavering; when he became ill and required constant care she brought him home and set up a hospital bed so she could ensure he had the care, the love, and the "good food" he needed to stay strong as long as possible. Her devotion was as intense to her children - Bob, Steven, Tom & Kerry.  She is survived by Tom and his wife Donna, her daughter Kerry, daughter-in-law, Lisa and her grandchildren; Joshua, Sarah, Dylan, Matthew and Kenny. Her oldest children Bob & Steven passed away much too young. While this was a constant grief Nancy never let it show; she continued ot live a life filled with laughter a love of music, dancing, games of all kinds, entertaining, and spending time with the ones she loved the most. When it came to entertaining, there was no question that she was a talented home cook, she had a unique talent to whip together creative & delicious dishes but will be most remembered for home-made Italian classics she laerned along side her mother. It's impossible to remember Nancy without calling attention to the greatest joys of her life - her grandchildren.  Along with Chubba she was always available for baby-sitting, cheering them on during ""special" events & performances. She had a gift for creating "fun" and ensuring that entertainment was always on the agenda; whether she was building forts in the living room, teaching the kids to play poker (with poker chips so they could bet, of course)... or imparting her love of music - especially big band aand opera classics like Sinatra & Pavarotti there were few "dull" moments when Nancy was in charge.  Hopefully, those moments will remain a source of joy as we continue to remember her.
Since many of her closest family & friends have already passed or are too far to travel we have opted to use this online tribute to memorialize her. Our hope is that friends & family who remain will share memories so we can continue to remember her fondly and with much love.

Dear Nancy, my cousin through marriage, was my dearest and closest friend, We spent many good times together when she moved to Brick and I was living in Point Pleasant. She loved to decorate and she turned a dreary house into a beautiful home always cherry and spotless. I loved her humor and jokes and her storytelling. Just ask Nancy about the family tree, she could remember everyone . She will always be in my prayers. Love you, may you rest in peace, With deepest sympathy, Marion Palmieri

"Aunt Nancy" was one of the most special people in my life. She was my mother's very best friend from childhood, and always took on the role of a second mother to me. During one of the darkest times of my life she was one of the first people to reach out to offer support. She was the epitome of beauty and strength in spite of the hardship, loss and tragedy she endured herself.
Heaven gained an angel as she was welcomed into the open arms of all the loved ones who went before her!
Love you always, Aunt Nancy! 💖💔

My mom was "Aunt Nancy's" best friend way back to grade school. I knew her ever since I was a child. Back then, they used to call people who were full of character and personality, a "pistol." If ever there was a pistol it was certainly Aunt Nancy. Always fun, always funny. Here's to a life well lived!
