Obituary

Nancy Mount Emrich was born on January 7th, 1944. She went to our Heavenly Father on October 20th, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.

Nancy was and is loved by so many. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She never met a stranger. She loved and laughed hard. She devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren.

For almost 60 years, she was married to the love of her life, Eddie, and together, they created a family filled with love and beautiful memories. We will never forget how she loved laughing at Eddie’s jokes and pranks while he looked back at her adoringly.

Nancy’s career was in interior design, where her artistic abilities led to much success. She also used this talent throughout her life to create many beautiful, individual works of art.

She is survived by her husband, Edwin Emrich, her two children, Tracy Emrich (Sharon) and Jill Emrich Wagner, and three grandchildren, Kathryn Emrich, Madyson Wagner, and Taylor Wagner. Her two surviving sisters are Sandra Morrow and Sally Slater.

We will miss you immensely, and we are all so grateful to have been blessed by your beautiful spirit and love. Until we see you again, enjoy this next beautiful journey.

In keeping with Nancy’s wishes, no memorial or funeral service will be held. In her memory, donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America alzfdn.org would be greatly appreciated.

Nancy was the sweetest woman that I've known in a long time. She was kind, caring and compassionate to me always. I miss her and our conversations together. And that smile...always that smile. 💝💝💝

When Mom & Dad came up to North Dakota to visit we went to numerous places. But at our house, they discovered the Wii! We were all playing Wii Sports and Mom was having a blast bowling, and the trash talking! It was such a blast watching her own everyone and talking smack! Everyone was laughing so hard!

My grandmother was one of the most beautiful souls I have ever known. She laughed and loved with all of her, and I could see this so easily. She was one of the most lively people I have known in my life so far, and she has encouraged me to follow my dreams, and to love first. I admired the way she loves my grandpa, and the way she looked at him, with so much love and hope for the future. Her stories about interior design and the sparkle in her eyes will never fade from my heart. The compliments she gave me about my outfits and looks will never leave my heart, as she would make my heart melt with her sweet nature. She was one of the most gorgeous women I knew. She took great pride in who she loves and who she was family with.
I love you, grandma. I’m the luckiest girl to have had a grandma like you.
