Obituary
Minnie Liu Campbell, the daughter of the late William Henry Good, Sr. and the late Ella Mae Teal, was born on July 23, 1948. She went home to glory on August 29, 2024 at 8:30 p.m. She was the only surviving child of a triple birth. She was the third birth.
Minnie Liu was educated in the Baltimore City education system, graduating from Lawrence Dunbar High School when families had to pay tuition to attend. She took great pride in being a Poet. After graduating high school, she enrolled and graduated from Job Corps, where she became a Certified Nursing Assistant.
She worked as a nursing assistant at Maryland General Hospital. After changing careers due to the economy, she rose from being a $2/hr janitor at Pimlico and Laurel racetracks to Manger of Housekeeping and Training making $50,000/yr for Goodwill Industries. The highlight of her career was working with adults with special needs. As the supervisor and then manager of training for Goodwill Industries Janitorial Training program, she trained people recovering from substance addiction, returning citizens, and people with developmental delays. She retired in 2014 after serving others for 45 years.
Minnie Liu was able to accomplish these achievements while being hearing impaired.
She was a woman of great faith. Co-creating the 3W’s Christian Women's Club with her very good friend, Pastor Richmond. The 3W’s would take trips to plays, vacation together, but most importantly they would serve the Lord together. Organizing and sponsoring clothing drives and holiday gift exchanges for the elderly in senior citizen homes. She was a woman with a very large charitable heart even when her resources didn’t match. Her mantra was,“God will make a way.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry Good, Sr. and Ella Mae Teal , and her siblings: Sylvaneus Teal, Afton Teal, Virgina Johnson, Grace Good, and William Henry Good Jr.
