Remembering Grandpa Sonny
95 Years of Love & Faith
I created this online memorial with all my heart as a gift of love for Grandpa Sonny and for our beautiful family, a special place where his life, his faith, his stories, and all the precious memories he gave us can live on for generations. Grandpa was so much more than the photographs we have of him. He was laughter, adventure, family, faith, and unconditional love. When I once asked Grandpa the secret to living 95 years, his answer was beautifully simple:
“Love.”
And that one little word describes the beautiful legacy he left behind. My hope is that this memorial becomes our family's special place for memories. A place we can visit when we miss him. A place to look through photographs and videos, hear his voice, remember his smile, share the stories that make us laugh and cry, and rediscover little moments we may have forgotten. Most importantly, I hope each of us will continue adding our own memories of Grandpa, a favorite photograph, a story, something funny he said, a special moment, or simply a few words from the heart.
Because every one of us knew and loved him in our own special way, and when we bring all of those memories together, we preserve something priceless:
his story.
Someday, the generations who come after us will be able to visit this place and discover the extraordinary man God blessed our family with. They will know his face. They will hear our stories. They will see how deeply he loved his family.
And they will understand why Grandpa Sonny will always be such an important part of who we are. Although our hearts deeply miss his presence, our faith gives us hope. We believe his earthly journey was not the end of his story. Because of Jesus, goodbye is not forever.

Just as the star bearing his name now shines in the heavens, Grandpa's true light continues to shine here, in his children, his grandchildren, his family, and in every beautiful memory he left behind. May this memorial always remind us of something Grandpa taught us simply by the way he lived: Love God. Love your family. Treasure the moments. And never stop making memories.
This online memorial is my gift to our beautiful family, so that no matter where life takes us, we will always have a place where we can come together, remember him, celebrate his life, and continue sharing the memories that keep him close to our hearts. 95 Años de Amor y Fe
Creé este memorial en línea con todo mi corazón, como un regalo de amor para Abuelo Sonny y para nuestra hermosa familia; un lugar especial donde su vida, su fe, sus historias y todos los preciosos recuerdos que nos regaló puedan permanecer vivos por generaciones. Abuelo fue mucho más que las fotografías que conservamos de él. Fue risas, aventuras, familia, fe y amor incondicional. Una vez le pregunté a abuelo cuál era el secreto para llegar a vivir 95 años, y su respuesta fue hermosa y sencilla:
“Amor.”
Y esa pequeña palabra describe perfectamente el hermoso legado que dejó en nosotros. Mi deseo es que este memorial se convierta en ese lugar especial de nuestra familia para guardar nuestros recuerdos. Un lugar al que podamos regresar cuando lo extrañemos. Un lugar donde podamos mirar fotografías y videos, escuchar su voz, recordar su sonrisa, compartir esas historias que nos hacen reír y llorar, y volver a descubrir pequeños momentos que quizás con el tiempo habíamos olvidado. Y, sobre todo, deseo que cada uno de nosotros continúe añadiendo sus propios recuerdos de abuelo: una fotografía favorita, una historia, algo gracioso que haya dicho, un momento especial o simplemente unas palabras que nazcan del corazón. Y, cada uno de nosotros lo conoció y lo amó de una manera única y especial. Y cuando reunimos todos esos recuerdos, preservamos algo que no tiene precio:
su historia.
Algún día, las generaciones que vengan después de nosotros podrán visitar este lugar y conocer al hombre extraordinario con quien Dios tuvo la bendición de regalarle a nuestra familia. Conocerán su rostro. Conoceran nuestras historias. Verán cuánto amó a su familia. Y comprenderán por qué abuelo Sonny siempre será una parte tan importante de quienes somos.
Aunque nuestros corazones extrañan profundamente su presencia, nuestra fe nos llena de esperanza. Creemos que su jornada en esta tierra no fue el final de su historia. Porque tenemos a Jesús, sabemos que el adiós no es para siempre.

For 95 years, God blessed our family with his love, faith, and beautiful memories. Though we deeply miss him, we find peace knowing he is now in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
