Obituary

Michael Theo Flewellen, age 73, beloved father, uncle, and grandfather, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, in Pittsburgh, PA.

Born on October 22, 1952, in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, to the late Theo Anon Flewellen and Louise (Cummings) Flewellen, Michael was a loving father and grandfather whose warmth and compassion left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

He is survived by his daughters, Robyn LaShawn Blanks and Michelle Lynn Boyle; grandchildren Rodney Darnell Foster Jr., Ryan Michael Foster, Michael Theo Flewellen II, Kevin Moffitt, Tyree Erik Jones, Aleiha Nicole Boyle, and Imani LaTya Blanks; along with a host of great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Shelia Darline Flewellen, the beloved mother of RaJah and Shawn.

Today we honor Michael’s life with love and appreciation, reflecting on the moments that brought us together and the legacy he leaves behind. He will be remembered through his children, grandchildren, and the many lives he touched. We are grateful to those who offered care, kindness, and support during his final days.

A private gathering will be held by the family.

I remember the last time we spent time together. We were on lock down during covid, so we got up at 6am and watched cartoons together, we laughed and laughed at Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Mr. Magoo! I loved his laugh! When he laughed, everything in the world was alright with me! I will always miss my Daddy, he was my first love! R.I.P. Dad!!!😔😭🤣🤗😘🙏🏽💕
