Michael David Paulette

Your legacy of love will forever light our way.
Obituary
Michael was a Navy brat and moved from city to city for the first six years of life and, with every new city, he had a new brother or sister. His last stop was San Diego in 1956. He attended Chesterton Elementary, Montgomery Junior High, and graduated from Kearny High School in 1967.
After graduation, Michael started working at CalFire. Michael never stayed at one assignment for more than a couple of years. He had a very diverse career with CalFire. He was always involved in training and writing curriculum. Michael won the CalFire Chief's "Instructor of the Year" in 2004. Like most firefighters, Michael had a second job working with Charles Faust making sand castings for banks, restaurants, etc. After 35 years working for CalFire, he went to work for the US DHS Interoperable Communication Technical Assistance Program for 20 years and traveled to all 50 states and territories teaching communication classes, facilitating exercises, writing curriculum, and assisting in National Special Security Events.
Michael is survived by his wife Anni, two brothers (John & Peter), two sisters (Cindy & Pattie), two children Megan (Sean) and Fletcher (Johna), and five grandchildren. He is predeceased by his mom and stepdad (Ed & Doris McGrath), his brother (Steve), and sister (Laura).
