Michael D. Parker

I was so sad to hear of Michael’s passing. While I only knew him on a professional level, he seemed like such a great guy and I admired his love of animals and his commitment to his dogs and his sense of humor. There is not a single square inch of our home that doesn’t have Michael’s touch on it. He did a major remodel in our master bath, removed our popcorn ceilings and re-textured them, put in all new flooring and baseboards and painted the entire interior of our home. Then we had an emergency when our electrical panel caught fire. Michael was out the same day and was able to reroute our AC breaker so that we had air-conditioning. This was August 2025 when we were having over 100° weather. Then he came back and installed a new upgraded panel and EV charger. His rates were always reasonable, and his work was awesome. I recommended to him to several of our friends. I think of him often now as I walk through my home and look at all of his handy work.

To say that Michael will be missed is such a huge understatement.
The shoes that he filled were larger than life.
His sense of humor was sneaky, he’d look so serious and then bust out laughing. He would be serious then you’d see him crack a smile. He was always willing to put up with Jackie and i’s shenanigans and was a good sport even if he did roll his eyes.
We did force him to listen to country music a time or two (the horror).
We could sit and chat or say nothing at all and just read a book or watch tv. Weirdly we all loved watching “The Meg”, “Bones” and “Criminal Minds” to name a few.
He loved my dogs like they were his own even if they did something naughty.
Watching he and Jackie lovingly bicker and say “baby” or “dummy” to each other would make you laugh. You could see and feel the love.
Jackie I hope this makes you smile and remember the good times even though it hurts so much right now.

I am so sorry for your loss. The girls and I are here for you in any way we can. I will always remember sitting playing with Sunny and the other puppies laughing at the memory of the hole in the wall from Vivi. Sending big hugs

Jackie, I am so sorry for the loss of Michael. My heart truly goes out to you. I know how much he meant to you, and I know how difficult this has been for you. I hope the memories of all the good times you shared bring you some comfort during this incredibly difficult time. I’m thinking of you and am here for you in any way you need. Michael, our kind neighbor, with practical handyman skills volunteered help to us several times. He was so happy living in the our mountain community over the past 5 years surrounded by animals. His friendly personality will be missed.

Michael was a lovely man - thoughtful, helpful, hardworking, funny. Our little mountain neighborhood was privileged to have him here. He is missed.
