Obituary
Meghan Molony Stewart (Meg), a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on January 21, 2025, after a four-year battle with a rare autoinflammatory disease. Meg fought her illness with unmatched courage and determination, she found strength in her deep faith while embodying resilience and love for her family.
Upon learning of her mother’s passing, Meg’s daughter, Pippi (6), poignantly asked, “Where is my mom going to be now?” to which we responded “She will live on in all of us.” This tribute is dedicated to those who loved her, cared for her and helped us care for her, and for all of us who will carry her joyful spirit forward.
Meg’s greatest passions were her family, friends and her Catholic faith. She poured her heart into raising her four daughters—Seton (11), Fiona (9), Pippi (6), and Greta (4) —alongside her soulmate, and husband of over 13 years, Corey.
Meg is survived by a devoted family who surrounded her with love throughout her short but wonderful life. Her parents, John and Karen (Frain) Hopkinson, her brother John Hopkinson, her grandmother Gail Frain, Corey’s parents, Molly (McGrath) and Scott Stewart, along with their children and families: Hilary & Nathan Glaisner, with Finn, Oliver and Rory, Sean and Amy Stewart with Georgia, Jack and Clementine and Maggie Stewart. In addition, Meg was blessed with many aunts, uncles and cousins: Stewarts, Hopkinsons, Frains and McGraths, all of whom treasured Meg, with her bright smile and fun loving spirit.
Meg and Corey met in Cleveland in the summer of 2008. They were married in 2011 in Chicago and enjoyed many happy years in the Washington DC area before moving to Denver. The twinkle in Meg’s big blue eyes and her contagious laugh captivated us all. Although she was called to heaven too soon, she lived every day with purpose and joy - sharing her unwavering faith and devotion to Jesus and the Blessed Mother. She appreciated every moment spent with her parents and brother, treasuring her long and lasting friendships, traveling and adventuring with family and friends, valuing her time with her large extended family and, most importantly, cherishing her life with Corey and the girls.
The family is immensely grateful and humbled for the incredible support they have received over the past four years. Bianca Rizzo, Catsy Hernandez, Cami Lorenzana, and Manuela Sola have been invaluable nannies. They showered the girls with hugs and love every day. We would also like to express our deep gratitude for the communities of All Souls school and parish, Cherry Hills Village, Glenmoor Country Club, and St. Thomas More school and parish. From masses to meals, from hands on care to prayers offered, these communities and the people in them worked very hard to make things easier for our family. The love, compassion, and generosity you have shown Meg and her family has been overwhelming. Your love for us is returned by each of us. Your prayers and acts of kindness gave Meg the solace and comfort she needed.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas More on Friday, January 31, 2026 at 12:30 pm at 8035 S Quebec St. Centennial, Colorado. The service will be livestreamed at the following link https://youtube.com/live/RRE1ynztJ9A?feature=share
A private Burial will be held immediately following the service.
Please join us for a reception and celebration of Meg’s life at Cherry Hill’s Country Club, 4125 S University Blvd, Cherry Hills Village, after the service.
