Obituary
M axie Delbert Odenwald, age 82, of Billings, Oklahoma, went to be with our LORD on September 9, 2026. Born on October 13, 1943, Max will be remembered as a caring and generous servant of Jesus, whose faith and loyalty touched the lives of all who knew him.
He married his best friend and sweetheart, Merlene Livingston, on May 10, 1964, in Billings. Together, they enjoyed 62 years of marriage, and a life filled with love.
Max had compassion for God’s little creatures, spending his time caring for a "few" stray kittens. He loved his Savior greatly, talking with Him many times a day. For his family, he spent much time interceding in prayer on bended knee while he was able. His life glorified God and he finished the work God gave him to do. He was a great man of faith and family.
Max is survived by his wife, Merlene; son Kevin and wife Wendy; daughter Angela and husband Paul; son Scott and wife Dottie; and three grandchildren: Thomas and wife Jaque; Joseph and wife Amanda; and Grey and fiancé Spencer.
He is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Bella, Abby, Amelia, and Ben.
Known for his warm heart and steadfast nature, Max’s kindness and generosity will be dearly missed by family, friends, and neighbors. Those fortunate enough to have known him remember his willingness to help others and the strength of his convictions.
His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and through the enduring impact of his good deeds.
