We bid farewell to Mary Louise Dooley of Colorado Springs, Colorado, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 11, 2026, at the age of 56, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Mary touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in our hearts. She was born on September 12, 1969, in San Antonio, Texas, to Emilia Attlesey.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Sean Dooley; her children, Erika Dooley (Jeremy), Sydney Dooley (Carlos), and Payton Dooley.
Mary ("Lou Lou") is also survived by her mother, Emilia Attlesey; her sister, Karen Cochrane (Mike); her brother, Adam R. Zamora (Diane); her father-in-law, Jeremiah Dooley; her mother-in-law, Barbara Jones (Michael); and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a wide community of friends who were blessed to know her.
As Mary departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved her. Though Mary may no longer walk beside us, her legacy will live on—a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
To know Mary was to know laughter, kindness, and unconditional love. She treasured every moment spent with her family, whether it was a competitive game of Uno, a family dinner, or simply sitting together and talking. She had a gift for making people smile and loved telling jokes, often turning ordinary moments into cherished memories.
Mary had a vibrant spirit and a wide range of passions. She loved BTS and K-pop, enjoyed getting lost in her favorite K-dramas, and had a special fondness for Hello Kitty and all things cute. She loved shopping, and it often seemed as though an Amazon package was arriving at her door every day. She enjoyed concerts, movie theater outings, and any opportunity to create memories with the people she loved.
She found beauty and joy in the world around her. She loved sitting in Sean’s backyard, watching for butterflies, birds, squirrels, and other wildlife. She looked forward to the changing colors of autumn leaves, loved visiting the zoo and feeding lettuce to the giraffes, and cherished walks along the beach collecting seashells. Christmas was one of her favorite times of year. She adored snowmen, delighted in finding the perfect gifts for others, and brought a special magic to every holiday season.
Above all else, Mary’s greatest love was her family. Nothing brought her more happiness than being together with those she loved. It didn’t matter what they were doing—playing games, sharing a meal, watching a movie, or simply sitting together. Her family was her heart, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in theirs forever.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.
