Bro Mark, your death was a great shock to me. You were a God fearing, soft spoken gentleman I cherished. We discussed a lot about life and the kingdom. I keep encouraging you to be more prayerful and spiritualy sensitive because of the devises of the enemies in your family.
I never new you would leave so soon.
Your sweet memories of love, care, fear of God and activities in the house of God will remain evergreen in our heart.
The whole RCCG, Bayelsa province youths and young adult church will miss you.
Sleep well my beloved brother.

My Engineering Oracle !!! I still can't come to terms that you are no more.

I didn't know the conversation we had would be our last. Bishop Mark, your legacy will live on.
You were an embodiment of grace and humility. You made academic excellence look so easy and you always smile even when things are tough.
I recalled making 5.0 GPA when you shook my hands and prophesied with a smile and that came to pass.

This is tough on me and it is so painful that I have to type this.

I am in pains because there is no reason why this should happen but we can't question God

As I sit here I still can’t come to terms with the fact that I have to write this, It is with both joy and sorrow that I stand here today to honor my dear brother in Christ, Mark. Joy, because I am grateful for the life he lived, and sorrow, because he will be deeply missed. From the moment we met, his love for God and for others was evident, and I am blessed to call you a brother and friend.

Brother mark was a man of deep faith. He loved the Word of God and lived it daily. Whether in church, at home, or in the community, he carried the light of Christ with him. His kindness, humility, and unwavering trust in God were an inspiration to all who knew him. I call you “brother” now with a heavy heart knowing people outside us would not understand the inside joke but we know.

Nothing will ever make up for the never ending long conversations we’ve had on the road drive to your place after church, we would talk about everything and nothing. Even when I told you I was going through a difficult time, you used your own stories of hope to uplift me, you never failed in dishing me words like, “God is faithful, and He will never leave you. ‘Those words were never just words, you always spoke them with such conviction, which gave me the strength to keep going. That’s the mark I know—always pointing people back to Christ.”

Mark was a true servant of God. He touched the lives of so many through his prayers, his generosity, and his unwavering faith. His love for God was evident in how he cared for his family, his church, and even strangers.
Mark would stay cleaning the church and trying to connect with other people and he would make sure to ask about people’s work week and listen with a keen interest, even when he was tired, he was never tired when it comes to doing Gods work.
I remember when mark joined the drama department, he came with so much excitement and enthusiasm wanting to act, one thing people don’t know is mark was shy, but because it was acting to pass a message for the lord he wasn’t shy to boast of the lord, he practiced his lines so much so he wouldn’t miss it. Even when other church responsibilities took him away from drama, mark was the most excited when we were up on the stage, he would stay on the sideline’s cheering us on shouting ‘my people’!!, he never failed to give us uplifting compliments after.

Though we grieve today, we do not grieve as those who have no hope. We rejoice, knowing that Brother mark is now in the presence of our Lord, hearing the words, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant.’ He has fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. And now, he receives his crown of righteousness in Christ Jesus.”

“Brother mark, you have been a blessing to us all. We thank God for your life and the impact you made. You may be gone from our sight, but your legacy of faith and love will remain in our hearts. Until we meet again in glory, rest in the arms of our Savior.”
Have a fantamaglorious time in heaven!!!!
I will miss you.

With deep sorrow, we mourn the passing of our dear Brother Mark. He was a man whose heart burned with passion for Christ, whose life was a testament to selfless service, and whose ever-present kind smile brought warmth to all who knew him. Whether in word or deed, he reflected the love of Christ, always putting others before himself and standing as a beacon of faith and compassion.

Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that he has fought the good fight, finished his race, and kept the faith. Today, we do not say goodbye but salute a true soldier of Christ who has now received his eternal reward. Rest well, faithful servant.

Bro Mark , it has been a privilege to serve with you. Although my heart aches when I think about not having you around, I take comfort in knowing that you are asleep in Christ.

A true man of God, a humble, gentle soul, and a light emitter to all who knew him. Your love for God was unwavering. You led a life of testimony, faith, dedication, and service.

Mark was always willing to serve and ready to do the work of the Lord. His humility and kindness touched all our lives, and his go-to response to me was always—"I am at your service"—this reflected his deep commitment to ministry and love for things of God.

Mark has left a massive gap and void in my heart. I will miss him dearly—his passion, his zeal for the things of God, and his complete dedication to building God's Kingdom. A great example and role model to others, including my own children. Never a day he won't stay after service to clean the church and make sure it was in order before leaving.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Tombiri family during this challenging time. May the Lord strengthen and comfort you, knowing that Mark’s legacy of faith, impact, and purposeful life will live on in my heart and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Well done, our Evangelist. Now rest, sleep, faithful soldier of Christ. Until we meet again, Farewell Bro Mark.

Mark was a beacon of light and joy to have in Liberty Christian Connections and The Beacon Generation churches.

Mark was a humble, kind, helpful, friendly, and respectful young man whose actions spoke louder than words. Whether it was offering a helping hand to the aunties, mummies, and Daddies as he called them, a word of encouragement to young people, or teaching the word of God in the New Comer Class.

One of the most beautiful things about Mark was his dedication to God’s work. He was always available to preach the Word, eager to share the gospel, and passionate about helping in the church. Whatever task he was given, he took it on with joy and humility, and always with a smile on his face.

Mark did not just serve with his words. He served with his actions. He was always one of the last people to leave after service, staying behind to clean the church and ensure that the sanctuary was spotless. No task was too small for him, and he did everything with a cheerful heart. His lovely smile was a blessing to everyone who met him.

Mark has left an imprint on our hearts that will never fade away even though our hearts are aching with his absence during this difficult period. We will miss him dearly.

Though his time with us was short, Mark’s impact on us was great. Both the youth and the adult churches felt the difference he made.

A remarkable young man with an interesting vocabulary, it is from him we know words like “fantamaglorious.”

Mark was committed to serving God and thriving in his chosen profession. He led a simple yet deeply godly life.

We know that Mark has fought the good fight, he has finished his race well, and he has run his race faithfully.
While we mourn his loss, we take comfort in the promise of John 11:25 that states “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die”.

We know that Mark is now in the presence of our Lord whom he so passionately served, experiencing a joy beyond our understanding.

His legacy of service, faith, humility, and love will forever remain in our hearts.
Rest in peace, Mark, until we meet again in glory.

With deepest sympathy and love,

A special message for the Tombiri family

Dear Beloved Family of Brother Mark Zinipere Tombiri,

With hearts that share in your sorrow, yet anchored in the hope we have in Christ, the Liberty Connections family stands with you in this moment of loss. Brother Mark’s passing is deeply felt because he was loved, but we take comfort in knowing that he belonged to the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:13).

Mark was a light among us—a man of faith, joy, and unwavering devotion to God. He walked in obedience to Christ, served with humility, and touched many lives with his kindness and love. Though his time on earth feels too brief, his legacy of faithfulness will endure in our hearts.

The Word of God assures us in Revelation 14:13, “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord… they will rest from their labour, for their deeds will follow them.” Mark now rests in the presence of Jesus, free from pain, sorrow, and suffering (Revelation 21:4).

As we mourn, we also rejoice in the promise that this is not the end. One day, we who remain faithful will be reunited with him in glory (John 11:25-26). May his life inspire us all to live with purpose, keeping our eyes fixed on our eternal home with the Lord.

During this difficult time, we pray that God’s Holy Spirit will bring you comfort, strength, and peace. Please know that you are not alone—your church family is here for you, standing with you in love and prayer.

With hearts heavy with loss, yet filled with hope, we remember Brother Mark Zinipere Tombiri. Though his passing brings deep sorrow because we loved him, we find comfort in knowing that he belonged to the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:13).

Mark lived a life that reflected his unwavering love for God. He walked in faith, served with joy, and radiated Christ’s love in both word and action. Though his time with us feels too short, his impact will remain eternal.

The Bible assures us in Revelation 14:13, “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord… they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.” Mark now rests in the presence of Jesus, where there is no more pain, sorrow, or struggle (Revelation 21:4).

While we mourn, we also rejoice in the promise that in Christ, this is not the end. One day, we who remain faithful will be reunited with him in glory (John 11:25-26). May his life inspire us to live with purpose, always remembering that our true home is with the Lord.

We pray that God’s Holy Spirit will bring comfort, especially to his family, and strengthen us all in this time of grief.

Dear Mark,
You are not just a friend to me but a friend that turns to blood brother.
.
You are so humble and your choice of word are always relevant with time and seasons.

The time we spent together in sharing spiritual burdens, praying and sharing scripture together are the best memories of my life since I came to the UK.

Your absence created a great vacuum in me but I choose to concur with God will.

While I accept your absence with a heavy heart, I know Joy filled heaven since the day you left the earth.

Keep on resting champion till we meet again.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this tribute to a dear brother and friend, Mark Tombiri. Mark was more than just a fellow believer—he was a man of kindness, dedication, and an unwavering love for God and His people. His presence was one of warmth, encouragement, and sincerity, and he carried the joy of the Lord with him wherever he went.

I still vividly remember our last conversations—his cheerful greetings, his ever-thoughtful reminders, and his heartfelt birthday wishes and prayers for me. We laughed, we bantered, and just days later, he was gone. It is a loss that is difficult to comprehend, a pain that words cannot fully capture.

Mark was a pillar in our church, always willing to serve, always ready to lift others up in prayer. He had a heart for God and a passion for His work. Whether through his gentle words of encouragement or his unwavering commitment to the things of the Spirit, he left an imprint on many lives.

Though his time with us was far too short, his impact was profound. He lived a life that reflected Christ, and though we grieve, we take comfort in knowing that he now rests in the presence of the One he so faithfully served.

Mark, you will be sorely missed. Your kindness, your laughter, your dedication—these will not be forgotten. May God comfort your family, strengthen the church, and give us all the grace to run our race as faithfully as you did.

Rest well, dear brother. Until we meet again in glory.

Mark, I never imagined that our last Christmas conversation would be our final one on this earth. You came, you saw, and you conquered—not just for yourself, but for the Kingdom. While the earth has lost, heaven has gained. Your life was one of impact and selflessness. May the Lord grant strength and comfort to your family. Rest in peace in the bosom of your Maker, Mark!

I say goodbye with a heavy heart to my dear neighbor, Mark. You weren’t just a neighbor, you were a true friend. We spent so many hours talking about our work, our plans for the future, and your dream of one day owning your own engineering company.
You always spoke about that goal with such determination and passion, and I have no doubt you would have made it happen.

I’ll never forget the day the house was fumigated and we ended up having coffee together, laughing as we heard towards barking station, and talking about everything—from work to our future plans. You always encouraged me to go for it, no matter the challenges, and your belief in me meant more than I could express.

We also shared our frustrations with the stresses of life here in the UK, but through it all, you maintained an inspiring sense of hope and perseverance. Your kindness, ambition, and warmth will be deeply missed, but I’ll hold on to those conversations and the memories we made. My thoughts are with your family during this difficult time. Rest in peace, and may your legacy of hard work and vision live on in all of us.

I actually took the picture of this yellow shirt that is used for this obituary. It was a Sunday morning. You were so excited before church. At 8 a.m., I took the pictures. I still have our chat where you were trying to get me to come take the picture.
It feels like yesterday.

You were my neighbor. I met you at 99 Ashburton Avenue where my sister Mira lives. Your last address. I still remember you on the day of my birthday surprise. Standing beside my best friend as I walked in, completely shocked. I still remember you wishing me goodbye when I was returning to Nigeria for my music project.

I remember singing with you in the living room, Mark. You loved God. We sang worship songs together. I really, really, really am shattered that you had to go so soon. I remember all the conversations we had about your work. You had one of the best CVs. So much was lining up for you. You shared a little of your story and journey with me, and I was so proud of you.

You loved God, Mark, and I hope you are sitting right by His hands as I type this. I don’t even know what to say. I wish I wasn’t writing this. I wish this wasn’t real. But I am really, really sorry. Really, really sorry about your death.

It feels like the world should stop to celebrate the person you were. Just yesterday, you were playing football. Coming in to warm your food. And now… this. A part of me still doubts it. I pray God comforts your family.

Oh! Marko my guy, it was so touching, painful and unbelievable when I got the shocking news of your passing on. Indeed, it was painful, a young vibrant man with the fear of God and ever zealous in the things of God, always ready to help whoever needs help that comes his way once it's within his reach. And even when he can't aid you at the moment, he'll promise and keep to his promise.
Mark was a nigga with a bright and glamorous future, but the cold hands of death snatched him away. Who are we to question God.
We'll really miss you.
May your soul rest in the bossom of the Almighty.
