William Mark Stephens

We are not greater or less then. We're all equal.
Obituary
William Mark Stephens, aged 67, passed away on June 23rd, 2025 in Ruskin, Florida. He was born on March 17th, 1958, in California, San Diego. He is survived by his former wife, Mary Beth Haug, and their three children, Heather Botero, Sabrina Stephens, and Bill Stephens, his sister Stefanie (Celestin) Nkounkou, and his seven grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents William, and Rosalie Stephens, and brother Chris (Aubrey) Stephens.
William "Mark the Mover" Stephens had a bold and spirited personality that lit up every room he walked into. He had a passion for music that was influenced by his father and mother, who were Majors and musicians in the Salvation Army. In his early twenties, he played bass in a local New Jersey band called “The Tumbling Dice”. Mark’s drive didn’t stop there—he later took that same energy and pride into serving his country in the U.S. Marines, embracing the motto “Semper Fidelis” with his signature spunk and determination.
He was always dreaming of creative ideas, and inventions that brought laughter and joy to those around him. Mark’s larger-than-life personality left a mark on everyone he met, and although he is no longer with us here on earth; His legacy of life and love towards his family, and friends will infectiously live on in our hearts as he reminded us all to live fully, laugh loudly, and never let your circumstances define your story.
May He rest in peace, and in the presence of God in heaven above.
