Obituary

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Magnus Lindgren on 2nd July 2026.

Magnus will be remembered for kindness, generosity, and the quiet ability to bring people together. Family, friends, neighbours, and colleagues all experienced the warmth and sincerity that made time spent with Magnus meaningful.

Throughout life, Magnus built lasting connections and touched many lives through simple acts of care, encouragement, and friendship. Conversations, shared moments, and everyday gestures created memories that will remain with those who had the privilege of knowing Magnus.

Family meant a great deal to Magnus, and relationships were always nurtured with patience and devotion. Friends valued loyalty and sincerity, while colleagues appreciated dedication and a thoughtful approach to work and collaboration.


The passing of Magnus leaves a space that cannot be filled. Yet the memories and moments shared will live on in the hearts of those fortunate to have known him.

Magnus will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

In honour of Magnus's long journey with cancer, we invite you to contribute to a cause that was near and dear to his heart. St Bartholomew's Hospital gave Magnus hope for his future, prolonging his life by giving him access to alternative treatment options whilst supporting his decisions after being diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2018. Magnus often spoke highly of the incredible staff at St Bartholomew's, praising the work they do, the time they gave and the kindness they showed. Barts Charity works in partnership with Barts Health NHS Trust to support excellent care and fund world-leading medical research. Your generous donation will help support NHS staff to provide expert care, improve patient experience and drive health research to improve and save lives.
