We find comfort in knowing that your spirit lives on in
the laughter of those you touched, and in the love that continues to grow in your memory. Safe home.

Obituary

"It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lynn Elizabeth Marie Elliott.

Lynn passed away peacefully at her home in Maple Ridge, BC,  surrounded by her loving family.

Lynn was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother (granny) and friend to all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her loved ones.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Gertrude Elliott. Their legacy lived on through Lynn’s generous heart and enduring spirit.

She is survived by her loving husband George, her son Andrew (Krista), her daughter Janelle (Brian), her sisters Carol, Nancy (George), Brenda (Bob), her brothers Kevin (Bernie) and Barry (Heather), her grandchildren Nate, Abi and Jake, and her faithful pup Sophie.

Born on January 17, 1958, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Lynn brought joy and warmth to those around her from the very beginning. She was known for her vibrant spirit—smart, funny, kind, joyful, positive, energetic, and deeply loving.

Lynn embraced life fully and touched countless lives with her enthusiasm and optimism. Her radiant smile and sparkling eyes lit up every room she entered, offering comfort and connection to all who crossed her path.

Lynn’s passions reflected her zest for life. She found joy running along the beaches of Tofino and Maui and on the trails of the local forests, singing freely, dancing with abandon, tending lovingly to her garden, and delighting in puppies, hummingbirds, and sunsets.

These simple pleasures spoke to her deep appreciation for beauty in everyday moments.

Throughout her illness, Lynn demonstrated remarkable courage, grace and resilience. Even amid personal challenges, she remained compassionate—always thinking of others and offering support where she could.

Lynn's impact and spirit will live on in all of us who had the privilege of knowing and loving her so dearly. May it bring comfort to those she leaves behind and serve as a lasting reminder of a life filled with love, laughter, and boundless light.

A Celebration of Life will be announced and held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Lynn requested that donations could be made to the Maple Ridge SPCA, to honour her love of animals.

the story of our life is how we loved, embraced life and shared with and touched others hearts. Lynn loved life and her energy and positive spirit was felt by all around her, she was the bright light in the room, I was always so proud of my little sister, wise, funny, smart, a risk taker who challenged everything.Throughout her illness she was brave while supporting others. It was her way. Shared special moments live forever as we listen to your chimes singing, we know you are close by. Love you Lynn

Dear Lynn, our world is less bright without you in it. This quote reminds us of you.
'' What is lovely never dies but passes into another loveliness, star dust or sea foam, flower or winged air''
Fly high like an eagle sweet sister over the mountains, forests and rivers you loved to hike. Bob and I will be watching for you.

Lynn was such a special person with that infectious smile. She hired me on at the SMU Tower Fitness facility, Halifax, N.S. in 1987. I was so appreciative as my fitness followers came along too. After she left Halifax, I continued to work in other facets of SMU. I retired 2008, 20 years after she lured me in. Thanking her so much for sure.

Lynn was one of the true beautiful souls in this world. Her outlook & never give up attitude- truly inspired me. She was a light in this world. As fellow work colleagues, I could trust her to be a safe space to share & be inspired - be it in the challenging or beautiful moments. She showed up for everyone with generosity & authentically. As neighbors (Coquitlam - Ranch Park & Baker Drive) we shared a kindred love to be out for a walk or run in our favourite Mundy Park with her pups following close behind.

In life, she was forever an optimist. She saw the good in all circumstances. In dealing with her C journey wow- She fought so hard with a warriors mindset & ♥️. In our last conversations I know she was ready to go home with her faith. For me, I feel a peace that she is no longer in pain. I know in faith she is one of our collective angels. May her memories remain forever on our hearts warmly.🙏♥️💃 Live you Lynn & will miss you🌹

Top of Burnaby Mountain on the day Lynn passed with Avril Shepherd remembering & celebrating our friend Lynn. And, with Cheryl Person sharing a cheers to our friend♥️🌹♥️ truly divine clear sky above with the sun & angel wings above. Will post our final videos we shared to Lynn shortly♥️

I’ve been a nurse for 30 years and I have never seen a stronger, braver, more positive person fighting a horrible C. I truly feel Lynn added more time to her life here on earth with her exuberance and love of life, her love for my Uncle George and her family and grandkids.
I honestly don’t think or expect to ever encounter another human who will fight on every level the way Lynn did. Lynn truly is an inspiration to me and hopefully to all of us. Losing Lynn is so unfair and so heartbreaking. May Lynn rest in peace. I know I will think of Lynn with every sunset I get to see and to cherish. 💔🙏💕

‘In the end it’s not the years in your life that count, It’s the life in your years’. A quote that I attributed to Lynn. She lived her all too short life to the fullest. So f’ing unfair!
Miss my Nova Scotia sister. 💔

Lynn was smart, funny, beautiful and loving. She fought her battle with cancer with grace, bravery and dignity, all the while checking in on others. She was the most positive person I've ever met, always seeing the glass half full. She was a loving wife, mother, granny and friend. I miss our almost daily texts or calls. I love and miss you, Lynn. I'll never forget you. You will live in my heart forever.

My sister embraced life. Simple as that. And she shared that passion for life with everyone, friend and stranger alike. The world’s a little darker today.
