A life that touched so many hearts will be forever remembered.

In remembrance of an earth angel...

Lynda left an indelible mark on all of our hearts. Whether it was sharing her knowledge about natural living, better food choices or making up songs about dolphins to her grandkids, she had a way to touch the deepest part of our hearts in a special way no one else can. Her caring spirit and unwavering love for her family and friends was evident in the way she lived her life. May the memories she shared with each and every one of you stay forefront of mind and leave a sense of peace and comfort in your hearts knowing you were touched by an angel.

In lieu of a celebration-of-life ceremony, funeral or memorial gathering, this private Online Tribute page will serve as a place to share great memories, pictures and videos of your time with Lynda.

In honor of Lynda's wishes, her children will spread her ashes in all her favorite chosen locations.
(Please revisit this page often as it's still a work in progress. More will be added in the coming weeks)

I was blessed to be among the few to last speak to my sister. She had a good and delicate heart and was there when she could to comfort anyone in need. Sometimes not everything was as it seems but she believed she was doing the right thing at the time, right or wrong. Her desire to achieve took her places many people dream of going.

She is in a better place now, rest in peace.

I miss you so much auntie ❤️ I think of you so often and I’m honored to have some of your plants to care for. The orchid you gave me (to rehab) in 2021 has been slowly but surely growing and I’m so proud of her progress. She’s been [affectionately] named Lynda. Love you, miss you, and hope you’re enjoying being the angel you’ve always been ❤️❤️

Back in 2013, Lynda's niece, Dani, was working at a school that was conducting interviews with veterans and delivered them to the Library of Congress on a class trip to DC. Here is Lynda's 40-minute interview. It's a little quiet, so turn the volume up. Enjoy!

Thanks for the contribution, Dani!

While I was trying to find the one where we were hugging at your retirement, I came across this gem of a med group photo with you instead!

LTC Peralta, I have this memory of you where Erik and I were driving you to Burbank airport, and you told him he needed to shake a tail feather. Love it!

I considered you one of my military aunties. You were supportive, intuitive, believed in love and light, and in angels. Now you are one of them looking over us. I enjoyed our time together. Know you were loved by us, and are missed.

I had the honor and privilege serving with LTC Lynda Peralta for over 15 years.
Shel was not only a leader in the ranks but also a friend and mentor to countless comrades
who had the privilege of serving alongside her.
Sometimes in life you find a special friend who changes your life just by being part of it. When you're down and the world seems dark and empty, your forever friend lifts you up in spirit and makes that dark and empty world suddenly seem bright and full. Your forever friend gets you through the hard times, the sad times and the confused times.
If you lose your way, your forever friend guides you and cheers you on. Your forever friend holds your hand and tells you everything is going to be okay and complete because you need not worry. You have a forever friend, and forever has no end.
Goodbye just means the memories become more meaningful each day.
Since Lynda’s passing I have had hummingbirds sighting every day.
To some, sighting a hummingbird signals that challenging times are over and healing can begin. To others, these tiny fliers are an inspiring sign of hope and good luck. Hummingbirds also can have a spiritual significance and mean the spirit of a loved one is near.

I didn't have the privilege of knowing Lynda, but I met Maria on her flight to Phoenix. Even though she smiled I could sense sadness, she told me about her Mom and I felt empathy, for I'd lived a similar experience. Lynda's warmth, wit and joy of life was surely passed on to her children. May those wonderful memories
comfort you.
