Penny was one of the first people I met at Grace. When I found out she shared a birthdate with my mom, and had a husband named Mel, my Dad's name, it was obvious we were meant to be friends. She was quite taken with my young son, Reegan. She became "Grandma Penny" to him, eventually becoming his Godmother. Penny and I were part of a ladies' dinner and play (KAS) group for many years. Penny loved musical theatre, frequently singing along. She lived life with gratitude, grace and joy, loving God with all her heart. Penny was a wonderful friend and I shall miss her terribly. LF

Jayme,
Sending love and comfort to you and your family at this most difficult time.

Such fond memories of meeting your Mom and Dad on our Mexico trip with you and Don.

Your Mom was such a joy to be around and her fun loving spirit will always remain with those who knew her.

Love,
Chris and Diane Yuill

Over the years visiting with Penny and Mel (in Kelowna, Vancouver, Mexico) are memories I will always hold dear. Penny’s warmth and generosity of spirit was second to none and always made me feel part of her family. I remember one particular family game night , Penny tried to teach me Uno. I quickly learned and started to quickly win rounds. The game abruptly came to an end. I quickly learned that you don’t beat Penny at her own game! LOL !!

Thank you Penny for all the love and laughter over the years.. you will be truly missed. Sandy xo

I will never forget the year we enjoyed a trip to Mexico with Penny, Melvin, my parents, and our closest friends. We all spent a week exploring the local shops, eating delicious food, and swimming in the pool. I will always remember Penny's wonderful laugh, curiosity, and zest for life.

Mom loved to dance – by herself in the kitchen – in the garden – wherever there was music or wherever she heard music. While in high school we took ball room dancing together. I don’t think we actually danced anywhere except to practice in the living room and of course in class… but she loved to move ….

I’ve never been much of a dancer, even after the lessons, but in the kitchen, prepping a meal, I also love to move to the music.

Your son, Jayme
