There is so much we could say about the incredible Lisa Phelps, she was the heart and soul of Adecco for 25 years, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. With her kind heart, mischievous humour, and unforgettable warmth, she lit up every room she entered. Lisa wasn’t just a colleague; she was a friend, a confidante, and a source of joy and wisdom for so many. Whether it was through her cheeky antics, her wise advice, or her genuine care for others, Lisa had an extraordinary way of making people feel seen, heard, and valued. As we celebrate her incredible life, we invite you to share your memories of Lisa, and reflect on the special moments you had with her. Together, let’s honour her legacy and the love and laughter she brought into all our lives and never forget this special lady who we were lucky enough to know.

Lisa, I never thought I would be writing this message today. What a wonderful person you was, always there at the end of the phone or email should I ever need to speak to anyone. You were so full of life, 100 miles an hour and when you came into the branch, you lifted it. We are all so blessed to have had you working and also befriending us in your time with us.... and you will be missing so very, very much. Sending your family much love xxxx

Oh Lisa, cannot believe I’m writing this… You were a true inspiration, so many happy memories shared. From the trips to Vegas, Barbados, Marrakech and many more on home soil!

You helped me grow both professionally and personally. I will truly miss you!

I am sure wherever you are there’s a party going on and I know you will have packed 2 pairs of sunglasses.

I have planted a tree in your memory because you loved them. I think of you often, so many happy memories!

My heartfelt wishes go to your family and everyone who knew you. Much love xxxxx

Lisa, you were truly extraordinary, an amazing and beautiful soul who left a lasting impact on so many.

There are countless fun and special memories I have of you, but what stands out most are the moments when you empowered and supported me and not just in business, but in life. You had a way of making people feel valued, seen, and uplifted.

One moment that will stay with me forever was during the early days of COVID. It was such an uncertain and overwhelming time, navigating remote work, trying to be a hands on manager for my team, home schooling my children, and feeling the weight of the unknown. I remember a particular call with you at the start of the pandemic, when I was struggling, feeling hopeless that I couldn't do it all. In that moment, you did what you did best, you put everything into perspective. Your kind words, your encouragement, and your wisdom completely shifted my outlook. You instinctively stepped into the role of a “work mum” when I needed it most, and I will always be grateful for that.

From interviewing and championing me for the Branch Manager role in Harlow to gaining a place for me & encouraging me to take part in the Empowering Women in Leadership course, you believed in me more than I believed in myself at times. You led with such authenticity and kindness and your impact on Adecco, and all of us lucky enough to have known you, will never be forgotten.

My deepest condolences to Lisa’s family. She spoke about you all so often and with such love that I feel as though I know you.

Keep dazzling and shining bright, Lisa, you were truly one in a million. xx

Words can't even express what an incredible lady you are Lisa!
From the beginning of my recruitment career, you have been a great mentor and I wouldn't be where I am today without your support, encouragement and inspiration. Loved your visits to branch and seeing you on training days- always had us laughing with your cheekiness!
Always be remembered and missed greatly as our "Perm Queen".

What a shock. Lisa was part of the Northern Europe perm team. She was an example for all. Lisa and I first met with a small dog on her lap. We had many professional, but also personal conversations since. A huge miss. Her humor was one of a kind. On the picture we had the kick off of our NE perm team in London with a cooking class, she stole the show with her jokes and was talking non stop about the wedding of her son that was soon to happen in Schotland. Wishing you strength from the Netherlands, big hug x

Lisa was one of those rare people who made the world brighter just by being in it. She had the biggest heart, always taking the time to listen, support, and encourage others. Knowing her was a privilege, and I will forever cherish the moments of laughter and joy she brought whenever we were together. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love and cherished memories. Sending love and strength to all. xx

The training week we shared in Codicote many moons ago still brings a smile to my face. I'm not sure I've laughed as much for so long than I did that week. The press-up contest is legendary and was always something we laughed about. Rest in peace my friend.

Lisa, You were so much more than a colleague—you were the heart and soul of team red. Your laughter and warmth touched us all deeply, and your dedication made even the hardest days (Especially during covid) feel lighter and more fun.

You had a unique talent for seeing the best in everyone and helping us grow in our careers. A favourite "Lisa" quote which you proudly announced on our Top Talent, "Better to have a hole in your team than an a**hole," will always make my laugh fondly in memory of you.

The joy you brought to every room and the way you could light up any space is something that can't be replicated. You were truly one of a kind, and your impact in Adecco will be felt forever. xx

My gorgeous girl, I am still struggling to come to terms with not having you around. To not be at the end of a phone, text , or whatsapp. To not see you on teams or at BSQ, or to see those bright eyes looking back at me - twinkling with fun, love, kindness and mischief. I have spent countless nights thinking about you - and then I settle because I realise I was blessed . So blessed to have met you in the first place, so blessed to have had someone like you in my life for so long XXX keep lighting up those rooms Lise . Sending love to you Steve, Lou, Connor , Maisie and Buddy and family. Shell xxxxx

What can I say... I feel (unusually) lost for words. You leave behind a hole that cannot be filled, your energy, your laughter, your cheekiness and your heart will be so so missed.

Thank you for all of the fun times, the challenges and for always encouraging us to be the best version of ourselves, while somehow managing to get us in to trouble.

I still cannot believe that I am wont hear you scream my name across BSQ or shouting "Oi Oi" (plus many other things that will no doubt get me into trouble with HR).

Thanks for always bringing a smile to my face.

Sleep well my friend.

Very occasionally, in life, you meet someone who can light up a room without saying a word and wonderful Lisa, that was you. You had a quality so rare, you made every person feel important and seen. I can't believe you are no longer here, taken far too soon - but your legacy lives on and those of us who had the priviledge of knowing you, are the better for it.
Sending love and the strength to cope at this difficult time to your precious family.

Lisa, It was a privilege to work with you & train as Menopause Champions together, we had so much fun together & you went on to do both the triathlon & the half marathon to support The Menopause Charity - selflessly championing & supporting other women. You were an inspiration to so many across Adecco but also to so many women who had never had the joy or privilege to meet you. You will be forever missed xxx

Lisa, you were a ray of sunshine!
I remember my first year with Adecco, we had a perms day at BSQ, you gave me the most warmest welcome, open arms and saw potential in me that I didn't always see in myself.
I was nervous that day & you took the time to send me the loveliest, heart felt message, that changed my day!

My mum had the opportunity of meeting you & always spoke about how lovely you were & what a pleasure it was to know you.

You were all about the people & bringing a positive light to everyone's day, I will be forever grateful & lucky to have known and met you. xxx

You were taken back far too soon but I can still see you smiling and dancing somewhere lovely. You have left an amazing legacy and did more than most during the time you were here.
I feel so privileged to have known you and worked with you.

Lisa touched so many of our lives with her caring and positive attitude. She was always there to offer support or advice, and her absolute joy was evident whenever she learned something new from me and could then do it herself. Her fun and naughty side will always make me smile and treasured memories of when we were together.
Lisa's presence was such a big part of Adecco and her ability to make others feel valued and loved was truly special.
Our memories and all the funny stories will live on in our hearts for many years to come.
My deepest condolences go out to her family and friends during this difficult time.

Lisa was such a huge inspiration for so many, and her support and kindness was unparalleled. She always had time for everyone and so genuinely cared for us all. It was an absolute honour to have Lisa as a leader and guide at Adecco and she will be missed so greatly. Our favourite recent memory of Lisa was teaching her Welsh phrases on her visit to the Cardiff office, so Diolch, Lisa, for everything. 💖

Lisa,

You were simply the best and will always be remembered as the mischievous one. Thank you for all the laughter, joy, and unforgettable moments over the years. Your kindness, energy, and spirit touched so many lives, and we were truly blessed when you became part of Adecco all those years ago. Reading the memories shared by your friends, confirms what an incredible woman you were, and always will be.

To Lisa’s family, you had the most amazing mom, nanny, and friend. Our hearts are broken, and I can only imagine the depth of your loss. I hope you find strength in the love and memories that will always surround you.

There will only ever be one Lisa Phelps. You were taken far too soon, but you will forever hold a special place in my heart.

I cannot believe that we are writing these messages, such a wonderful, fun loving lady. I first met Lisa on a winners trip to Rio. Lisa was so much fun, made me feel part of the gang. I didn't know a sole but I knew most of the party by the end of the trip, thanks to Lisa.
I was also lucky enough to have completed Top Talent with Lisa, what an amazing lady, I feel extremely privilege to have known, be championed and mentored by her. Lisa always made you feel special and always had time for everybody. My deepest thoughts are with Lisa's family at this awful sad time.
Much love and thoughts to all xxxx

Having worked with Lisa for 24 years, I was fortunate to have her as my mentor when I first joined. Over the years, we worked closely together as neighbouring Branch Managers, and later I had the privilege of having her as my Direct Manager for many years. I will miss her deeply.

I have so many wonderful memories of time spent with Lisa—whether at work, socially, or on winners' trips. She was fabulously fun, mischievous, and brought so much joy to every moment. This news is both shocking and unbelievably sad. My thoughts are with all who were lucky enough to know her.

Lisa was always so welcoming and warm when I first started at Adecco. Her laughter, smile, and light were truly infectious and such a joy to be around. I feel honoured to have had the chance to walk alongside her in the London Pride Parade in 2023.

Sending all my love and thoughts to Lisa’s family during this difficult time.

Ah, lovely Lisa, where do I even begin? I was so lucky to become your PA in 2017 when I moved over from Spring. What a journey we’ve had together! I’ll truly miss our chats and all the fun times we shared. Whenever I was stressed or annoyed, you always knew how to make me feel better—usually with a joke, a funny story, or by calling me Sweary Mary!
You weren’t just a boss to me—you became a true friend. Your kindness, humour, and support have left such a lasting impact, and it’s clear to see how deeply you are loved by so many. You always made me feel appreciated, and for that, I am forever grateful.
To Lisa’s family, please accept my deepest and most heartfelt condolences. My thoughts are with you during this incredibly difficult time. May Lisa rest in eternal peace xx

I honestly can’t think of an important moment in my career with Adecco that Lisa wasn’t a part of. But what made Lisa so special was that she wasn’t just there for the big moments—she was always there for everything in between. Every time I had a big placement waiting to be confirmed, I’d get emails from her, excitedly asking if it had happened yet. When things were tough, she’d send me messages with positivity and little tips. And at the end of so many emails, she’d always remind me how proud she was of me.

Lisa always found a way to make time for everyone, I really don't know how she did it! There will definitely be a Lisa-shaped hole at Adecco, and no doubt so many peoples lives that knew her.

She was really special woman, and she will be so missed. My love and thoughts are with Lisa’s family during this incredibly difficult time.

Here's to a very strong funny and loving person. Lisa was very joyful and always made the effort to make people feel good about themselves when they had self doubt. I particularly loved it when our team won the trip to Singapore and she offered to come in to our office and man the phones, it was such a sweet gesture. RIP xxxx

Finding the right words is difficult, as Lisa touched so many lives at Adecco. She was a passionate advocate for mental health and menopause awareness, and I don't think she ever realised just how many people she helped. Whenever you needed advice, Lisa was always there to lend an ear. She genuinely wanted the best for everyone and supported us in achieving our goals. Lisa was fun, caring, supportive, and loyal. She will be deeply missed.

To Lisa’s family, please accept my heartfelt condolences during this incredibly difficult time. x

I met Lisa when I was first interviewing for Adecco, Lisa was the person who fought for me to join her team, adamant that she believed I would make a great recruiter. She inspired me with her pure excitement and passion about her job and the industry, she never made me feel like she was untouchable as a head of department, if anything she made it very clear that she would always make time for me, and no question was too small or stupid. She was such a wonderful mentor and person to look up to with me just starting my career out. I cannot thank her enough for fighting for me to be on her team, and believing in me. She was and will always be the heart of perms and Adecco. What a wonderful woman to know, I feel very lucky to have been able to know her, if only for a small amount of time.

To Lisa's family, we are all keeping you in our thoughts through this tough time, if you ever need anything we are here x

I was truly heartbroken to hear the news, and Lisa will always hold a very special place in my heart. She had a remarkable way of making life brighter and more enjoyable every time we connected, no matter the circumstances. Her joyous humour and uplifting spirit were infectious, and spending time with her was always a pleasure. Lisa had this wonderful knack for cracking a joke, especially when it was at my expense, and it always brought laughter and warmth to the moment.

When I joined nearly six years ago, Lisa welcomed me with open arms, showing me the "Adecco Way" and guiding me through the onboarding process with so much advice, patience, and genuine care. I’ve always been deeply grateful for her kindness and willingness to help, which was just a part of who she was—a truly kind-hearted and selfless person.

Lisa’s radiant smile could light up a room, and her presence brought so much joy to everyone around her. She was a delight to be around, and her memory will forever live on in my heart. I will miss her dearly and treasure the moments we shared. Rest in peace, Lisa.

To Lisa’s family, please accept my deepest and most heartfelt condolences during this incredibly difficult time. I’m sending you strength and keeping you in my thoughts.
