Obituary

In Loving Memory of Linda Lee Durham

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Linda Lee Durham, who was born on February 14, 1956, and passed away on March 8, 2026, at her home in Tucson, Arizona.

As we gather to celebrate the life and faith of Linda—a beloved sister, daughter, aunt, great aunt, cousin, and a treasured friend to so many. Her life was a reflection of love, kindness, and a heart deeply rooted in the Lord.

Linda faithfully dedicated 34 years of her life to her work with the postal service, retiring in 2019 after many years spent working outdoors in the hot Arizona sun. She took great pride in serving others, and that spirit of service extended far beyond her career—it was simply who she was.

Linda was predeceased by her best friend and mother, Betty Durham, to whom she devoted the last seven years of her life, lovingly caring for her until her passing in 2024. She was also predeceased by her father, Royce Lampe; her father, Roger Durham; and the love of her life, Frank Novelo.
She is survived by her brother and sister, her nieces and nephews and their families, as well as lifelong friends, her cousins and their families.

Although Linda did not have children of her own, she loved her brother’s and sister’s children—and her great-nieces and great-nephews—as if they were her own. She spent countless weekends at sporting events, traveled out of state to support them, and never missed an opportunity to send a card or gift for every holiday and birthday.

Linda was also described as her family’s North Star, especially after her father’s passing, guiding her mother and siblings with strength and love. She was always there—a shoulder to cry on, a source of wisdom, a warm hug, and just a phone call away. She made people feel seen, heard, and valued, offering comfort and encouragement wherever she went. She never ended a conversation without reminding you how proud she was of you and how much she loved you.

Linda's faith was a big part of her life; she rededicated her life by getting baptized again as an adult in 2018. She shared this special moment by also getting baptized with her sister Diane, her niece Cortney and her brother-in-law Lawrence.
Love and faith were not all she had to give—Linda was as generous as they come. Not only did she give wholeheartedly to her family and friends, but she also supported charities and those in need, never turning away when she had the opportunity to help.

Linda’s life reminds us of the words in Scripture: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” She lived with a servant’s heart, loving others selflessly and trusting God through every season. Today, we find peace in knowing that she is in the presence of her Savior, reunited with those she loved, and resting in eternal joy.

Though we grieve her absence, her legacy of love and faith will live on in all of us—in the kindness we show, the faith we carry, and the way we love one another. May we all strive to love the way Linda did.

Rest in the arms of the Lord, Linda. You are deeply loved, joyfully remembered, and forever at peace.
