Lillian Raye (Lee) Pock was born on June 6, 1940, in Pomona, CA. Lillian Passed away from natural causes on February 14, 2024, at her home in Columbia, TN.
Lillian grew up in Pomona where she met her husband, Dave Pock, They went to school together at an early age and were friends all through school. Their relationship turned romantic after Lillian tried to set up one of her girlfriends with Dave. They were married in Pomona on June 28, 1958, after Lillian graduated from Pomona Valley High School. They moved to the Bay area, but then shortly after returned to Pomona near Lillian's family. They had two children in Pomona, Stacey in 1962 and Stephanie in 1966. They moved to Bloomington, Ca. to be near Lillian's parents, Floyd and Myrtle Lee, and their third child, David was born in 1972. Lillian bought her first business, Nita's Beauty Supply in 1971. In 1973 they relocated to Redlands, CA where Lillian bought Redlands Beauty Supply and Salon on East State Street, which she owned until 2023.
Lillian was inquisitive, with a desire to learn. She had an insatiable entrepreneurial spirit. Owning many businesses throughout her life, she shaped the lives of young women and men who had the good fortune of working for her. Redlands Beauty Centre was her greatest achievement. Lillian helped support her family and taught her three children the importance of hard work, achievement, generosity, and integrity. Lillian touched the lives of countless young women, men, and customers of her many businesses. She had a way of seeing when someone needed a friend, a kind word, or help without being asked. Lillian was a leader and counselor at her local mission church on Pennsylvania Ave in Redlands. Lillian never tired of helping others even after her health started to slow her down. She tirelessly gave time, money, and compassion to her family, friends, and frankly to anyone who needed it.
Lillian moved to Columbia TN on January 5th, 2024 to start a new chapter in her life with her three children and their husbands. She left the world a better place for her being in it and giving so much joy to her family and friends.
Lillian was preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle Lee, father, Floyd Lee, brother Stan Lee, brother Gene Lee, sisters-in-law, Violet and Bonnie Lee, and her grandson Corey Wlodarczyk.
Lillian leaves behind her daughters Stacey Barnett and Stephanie Hayes, her son David Pock, and their husbands, Joe Barnett, Hallie Hayes, and Kenny Quinn. Grandchildren, Brynn Davello, Shannon Foust, and Maksymilian Wlodarczyk. Great grandchildren, Cullen, Rowan, and Remy Wade Davello.
Lillian's celebration of life will be held on June 6th,2024 from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Mitten Building in downtown Redlands, CA.
Please help us celebrate a beautiful and beloved woman, mother, and friend. A tribute to a life well lived and one that continues in spirit.
