My dear friend Laurie,

You left too soon, too fast. It’s unbelievable to think I won’t get those mama bear hugs again—the kind no one gives like you. I won’t get to enjoy the cookies you loved to bake, or text or call you anymore to share pictures of my baby boy growing up. You loved the #GeoSpam so much—that’s what we called the endless photos I sent you of my baby boy, Geo. I treasure in my heart all our fun back-and-forth messages, talking about how fast he was growing.

From day one, you welcomed me into our workplace like a mother. Every day we shared laughs, and you became my dear friend.
Oh, Laurie—thank you for choosing me as your friend. We enjoyed your cookies, snacks, and everything you baked or cooked so much. It was always amazing and fun.

Orlando downtown feels empty without you. You were, and still are, a powerful force of love, dedication, and passion in everything you did in the workplace we shared. What great days and beautiful memories! You taught me how to share kindness and warmth through words with everyone. It was remarkable how deeply people were attached to you—and I know why. You treated everyone like a close friend, with compassion, empathy, and joy.

When I answered the phone and helped families, they would often say, “I’m sorry—nothing personal—but I need to hear that from Laurie.” I would transfer the call, and you would speak to them with such humanity and joy. Later, you would turn around and wink at me, because you knew I had said the same thing to them—and it always made us laugh. That showed me how deeply respected and loved you were by so many families.

You also became part of my family in a very special way, and you will always hold a place in our hearts. Andy and I are so grateful for your support, camaraderie, and the joy you brought into our lives. We will always remember that our baby Geo heard his very first lightning sound at your home, in your backyard.

That’s who you are, my dear friend—a powerful force of nature who brings light wherever you go. I’m sure our Heavenly Father is still using your talents in heaven, helping in unimaginable ways for good.

From now on, you will always be remembered every time we walk around Lake Eola, Celebration downtown, or the beach—the places you told us you loved to walk the most.

We love you immensely.

Our deepest condolences to Kaylie. Your mother loved you very much and talked all the time about you and how proud she felt. Our condolences as well to Laurie’s family and friends—she mentioned many times how happy she was to have all of you in her life.

Kaylie, anything you need, you have friends in us

Laurie was the kindest ready to do whatever needed to be done without a complaint have your back kind of person. She was always on it. I think her favorite saying was “I got this”.

She was a beautiful rose plucked from the gardenway too soon.

Rest in peace, my friend. Hugs!!

I dont want to be writing this and it feels so daunting to put into text here how much Laurie meant to me. She was a friend when I was lost and needed to laugh. She was the most positive person, always happy and laughing - even on 3 hrs of sleep. She worked hard, she gave 100% at work all the time. I looked up to her and marveled at her thinking she has it all together. I remember being stunned when she said she starched and ironed every bit of clothing she had...all the time and I didnt even own an ironing board 🤣. I have many priceless memories with her, the night we crashed a wedding reception was a good time! She was always up for anything. As life eventually takes people down different paths I found myself thinking of her fondly and feeling confident we would have a chance to connect in Florida. I thought we had more time. I wish we had more time. You were a true friend Laurie Page. I miss you and will continue to miss you for all my days. All my love to you Kaylie.

Her smile, her laugh, her immense love of her family and love of life are some of the things that I will remember the most about Laurie. The laughs and fun loving times I have spent with her are memories I will cherish forever. Always in my heart Laurie.

So hard to type…Laurie was someone who I always thought was so much cooler than me. And I told her that all the time, too. When I moved to Orlando, I didn’t really know anyone and she really understood me. We worked together and clients would always want to speak with her, even for the simplest things because they wanted to hear her and her amazing laugh. She knew what really mattered and reminded me all the time. I’m going to miss you, Laurie. You were more than my coworker, you were a great friend. I shared so much with you. My condolences to her family that she was always so proud of and loved so much and always spoke about. Thank you for sharing your moments and allowing me to share mine🩵 Love you, Laurie.

Literally every moment we shared with Laurie was filled with laughter and love. She would brighten up a room when she entered, and her laugh was contagious. The love she showed for Kaylie and her whole family made us all appreciate our times together. There are no words to explain how much she will be missed.
So many stories to share, too many to list.
Forever in our hearts.

Laurie and I shared a bond watching the Olympics. Cheering together across the miles. Of course swimming was a special conversation for Laurie and became mine too. Watching the Olympics won’t be the same, however her love and joy will always be with me. May God bless her family and the donor recipients. Love, Kathy
