Mom caught the hiking bug pretty late in life. I took her a couple of times and got her trekking poles for her birthday when she really started to get into it. She wasn’t into all the bugs but she was adventurous, which was a side I didn’t really see all that often. So grateful to have shared something I love so much with her, see her love it too, and experience it together.

Mom and I would always go to first watch for brunch on the weekends. When covid quarantine ended, they stopped putting ketchup on the table, so mom started asking for extra extra ketchup for her breakfast potatoes. The waitress started catching on and when we sat down at our table and placed our order the waitress came back and smelled a whole bag of ketchup on the table. We laughed so hard that we started laughing at our laughs.
