Celebration of Life

Koreen passed away at home on July 1st after her battle with kidney cancer. While we who are left behind are sad and grieving, we know she is free from pain and walking with her heavenly father on streets of gold. She was a wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend to so many and will be greatly missed.

Below we have space for you to share your favorite memories and/or photos of Koreen.

For those not able to attend in person, we will provide a live stream link here as the date approaches.

I met Koreen 44 years ago when I became engaged to her cousin Ron. She and I had our daughters very close together. Ron and I talk after she passed and we both agreed how we never saw her without a smile on her face.Koreen was a Gem. We were able to see her twice before she passed when her granddaughter was born we went to visit Koreen looked wonderful. I asked her how she was doing the pantry as she tired easy. She said until he Lord tells me to stop I will continue that was a faithful servant for sure not thinking about her ,but the Love of what she did. Well done good and Faithful servant. Dearest Koreen we love you and will miss you. To the family know our prayers continue to be with you all.

Koreen was passionate about hunger relief, providing countless volunteer hours for this cause. Not only was she fervent about the food pantry box contents, she wanted her signage to be on point, taking care to ensure her translations were accurate for the diverse clientele that was served by The Pantry. She had staff from The Bible Church verify the Russian/Ukrainian translations, to make sure they were accurate and “perfect”.

I oftentimes heard Koreen humming or singing as she updated the bulletin boards in the church, a testament to her spirit of selfless and faithful service. Perhaps her contributions were not measured by grand gestures or public accolades, but her countless acts of kindness, greatly impacted and lit up the lives of those she touched within the community.

Koreen left a legacy of demonstrated compassion, enduring faith and sacrificial service. Her humble smile and warm demeanor will surely be missed.

Korean, I remember you and Carla were always model kids at Oak Grove Assembly. With your mom you folks were tireless in your service to the community and to the Lord. Years later at Turning Point I find that nothing has changed except children and maybe a gray hair.
You were a gift to those many, many lives you touched.
God Bless You.

If I'm remembering correctly, the first time I met Korean was at her moms house and she had just had her first baby. She looked tired, but as lovely as a rose. I will always remember that.

Koreen and I met while attending Milwaukee Assembly of God as children. I have many wonderful memories of her in Missionettes, Kids Choir, and Church Camp…. those were the BEST of times. My family moved out of the area when I was just eleven years old, but those memories of Koreen and the gang, were permanently engraved on my heart. Even though Koreen and Karla were older than me, they always treated me nice. I’m so happy for her strong faith and know that she is with Jesus. ♥️

I remember all our fun times in special edition singing group at church. I remember when you first started dating Dave. I remember when we both had Jeremy and Carolyn at the same time, then Tabitha and Lyle, raising our kids together. We truly grew up together. Koreen, you were always the leader in the group. You were a very strong person and loved your savior always. I will miss you and I'm looking forward to spending eternity with you forever and ever.

She was a fun little girl, only 13 years old when we knew her. She and her mother were always a joy and blessing, always smiling and giving to others! I know she will be missed. ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
