I appreciate the woman you are and forever will be. I am grateful for your loving kindness and maternal support you’ve given to my Soror and Friend Toni. Through her, she shared you with us and somehow you even made me feel special. Thank you for trusting me and showing me “Perseverance in the Classiest form”. This news really hurt me, so I can only imagine the pain that your friends, families & colleagues have to endure. Soror Kim you will be missed. I will never forget our time we spent together in AKA events, Society and Continentals. I remember the look of surprise on our faces when we both showed up last year at the same voting location ready to serve as check-in judges. You were always generous and kind. Rest well. See you on the other side dear Soror.

Soror Kim O’Bryant was also my Continental Sister and a gentle soul. We were in the Howard County walking group together and her conversation made the time pass quickly. I extend my deepest condolences and prayers to her family and friends.

Soror Kim, you will truly be missed. Thank you for having such a big heart. You welcomed me and my girls in your home and loved on us like true family. I was so excited to welcome you into the sisterhood of Alpha Kappa Alpha! You are the exemplary Alpha woman! 💗💚

When I met Kim, I knew God had bestowed upon me a special soul. She touched my life in so many wonderful ways! Kim was a private person but communicated her opinions on matters in a clear and understandable way. She loved and cherished her sons and often expressed how proud she was of them. Kim was a devoted out-of-town caregiver for her Mother. When necessary she was on a plane to Detroit. She was especially excited about helping arrange her Mother's most recent birthday celebration. Details had to be in place.

Kim visited our home often and sat in her "special chair." She often came with surprises like a home-made butter pound cake, a historical novel to read or an invitation to eat breakfast at a favorite place.

Kim loved her Sorority, Chapter, Line Sisters and worked hard in any capacity needed. She exemplified that rare quality of giving. She was involved with several local groups and maintained the highest level of commitment.

The dedication of friendship, laughs, memories, my husband and I have of darling Kim will be etched in my heart forever.

The ivy is a rich and ancient symbol, found in many cultures and traditions. LS Kim O, you represented the strength of the Ivy for me in our line because the Ivy clings tightly to whatever it grows on, symbolizing loyalty, attachment, friendship, and faithful love. Rest in peace dear LS.

Kim offered me a room sight unseen at Leadership 2025. We became fast friends as roommates and enjoyed the conference and Disneyland. She was such a sweet chilled classy lady. Rest well my friend.
