What a great loss. I first met late Mrs Kareem when I was GOC 81 Division and her husband was one of my Principal Staff Officer. She was everything in a wife, a mother, a grandmother to her family. To us her husband colleagues; she was an excellent person. She came, she saw, she conquered and has now gone rest in peace. May all her shortcomings be forgiven and her soul granted eternal rest. To the Kareem’s we are always with you. We thank the Almighty for a life well spent.

Kikelomo, your sudden death was shocking and it's a very bitter pill to swallow. I kept promising to visit you in your shop in Lagos, whenever the opportunity comes up. I never knew my visitation was not to be. We were mates in the Geography Dept class of 87 at Unilorin. As unionists, I was Finance Secretary of NUGSA( Nigerian Universities Geography Students Association, Unilorin Chapter), while she was treasurer. To say the least we had good and harmonious relationships. She's a hard girl in terms of attitude, but I knew how I related with her positively to the surprise of many.
I bid you a final good bye and good night Kike, may God grant the repose of your soul. May God bless and keep the children and the family you left behind. Amen

Aunty Kike, my big sister from another mum, this is a most difficult tribute to write.

Lover of Christ and humanity.
My gist mate, play mate and confidante since those humble beginnings, especially at Unilorin. Yes, we started the journey to the University together, from preparations for resumption right there in Kafanchan in August to the rigors of registration in December, 1984, she, the big sister getting in at 200 level and I, at 100 level. We were inseparable.

Kikelomo, the sweet, oft misunderstood, hardworking one who detested insolence and indolence.

You adopted my mum(Mummy Kafanchan) as yours, loving and caring for her as your biological mother.
I keep thinking, in my little human mind, that death would have tarried if mum was with you that night, if I had acquiesced to your request for our mother to visit you a week earlier. But God knows best.

And our last conversation about having my wife come over to see you in Lagos, all the way from Kaduna, for what you considered an important, urgent family discussion. Just because you cared so much, like no one else in the entire family did.

So many ifs, aunty Kike, so many things left unfinished.

May God Almighty comfort Uncle TJ, Jibola, Lolade, Tolulope and the rest of us.

Fare thee well sweet sister.

| Tribute To A Beacon Of Faith, Mrs. Kikelomo Motunrayo Kareem - RCCG Jesus Tabernacle, Igbeti |

Mrs Kikelomo Motunrayo Kareem was more than just a name; she was a beacon of faith, a pillar of strength, and a faithful secret servant of God.

Her life was a testament to the power of unwavering devotion and selfless service.

She was a woman who saw beyond the earthly realm and whose heart was filled with an unwavering belief in the divine. Her passion for spreading the word of God was infectious, inspiring all mankind to embrace faith and hope.

Late Mrs Kikelomo Kareem's legacy is etched in stone, quite literally.

She was the visionary and the benefactor behind the construction of The Redeemed Christian Church of God [RCCG] Jesus Terbanacle Mega Parish, Igbeti, Olorunsogo, LGA, Oyo State, a sacred space where countless souls have found solace, inspiration, and a deeper connection with their Creator.

Aside from the place of worship, she also built a maternity facility that provides care for women before, during, and after childbirth and newborn babies, just behind the church building.

Late Mrs Kikelomo's generous contribution built a physical structure and laid the foundation for a thriving spiritual and healthy community.

Beyond her material contributions, Mrs. Kikelomo Kareem has proven to be a silent labourer in God's vineyard, a disciple and an epitome of wisdom.

Her project in Igbeti has continued to touch the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.

As we celebrate a life well spent and pay our respect to the deceased, the Church also pray for God to continue to strengthen and give comfort to the bereaved family: Brigadier General Tirimisiyu Jejelola Kareem [Rtd.] - husband to the deceased, the children, grandchildren and loved ones.

The church also uses this medium to urge everyone to continue to spread the message of love, hope, and faith that the deceased has passionately championed.

Let us strive to be selfless servants of God, positively impacting the world.

Mrs Kikelomo Motunrayo Kareem, may your soul rest in eternal peace.

It's a shock and deeply sad.
I can't believe will write such anytime soon about you.
I have known you for almost two decades and it's been a beautiful journey with you in our lives, especially mine your smile, encouragement, advice(and had a listening ears) and prayers.
You always supported me and gave me business insight and all.
We had plans together.
It's really sad you had to leave without a goodbye.
You were kind, caring, understanding,a disciplinarian and God fearing.
But seriously you will be greatly missed by me(cos she was my bigmommy and my mentor), my mom(your friend) and d kids which she fondly calls 'Benin Pikin'.
I remember few months ago, we all visited u in d house u weren't happy we came for a short visit and u said we should come and stay for few days.
The last time i came to d shop u were happy as usual to see me and called me "Vickkiii" in your tone.
I love you xoxoxo much momma'Granma Lekki'.
I thank God our paths met and won't forget all u thought me that prayer is the key and God never fails us if i put all hopes in him always and put him first in all i do and see his manifestation.
When I broke the news to the family, cos just heard yesterday late last night was devastated.
Pls our deepest condolences to you all.
God knows best.
May her beautiful gentle soul rest in perfect peace, Amen 🕊️🕊️🕊️

I received this shocking news this morning (11.11.24 AM) from my niece who was so close to her and her mum. I have not met her but heard good metier about her. I have ordered a few materials from her and gave me very healthy discounts. I was relating with my sister and my niece that when next I am in the vicinity I shall pop into her shop to say “Hello” but my hello has been saddened by her cessation. God doesn't let beautiful souls live forever in this polluted and dangerous world we live in. He has a special place for beautiful people like Her in His kingdom and waiting to welcome her. She is in a place where she will no longer think of her next daily bread.

May her beautiful soul rest in harmony… 👉🏼🫶🙏🏼

Today, as I honor my beloved sister, Misturah Kikelomo Motunrayo Alake Kareem, I am filled with a mix of sorrow and gratitude. Sorrow for the profound loss I feel, yet gratitude for the precious memories we shared that have become treasures in my heart. Misturah Alake wasn’t just my elder sister; she was my closest friend, my confidante, my guide through life. From our earliest days, we shared an unbreakable bond, one that grew deeper with each passing year. I was blessed to have someone so loving and compassionate to walk alongside me through childhood, to lean on through life’s ups and downs, and to laugh with over the little things only we understood. To her wonderful children, I want you to know how deeply your mother loved you. She was endlessly proud of each of you, and her every moment was filled with the desire to see you all thrive. She instilled in you her kindness, her strength, and her sense of compassion. Hold onto her love and the lessons she taught you—these will remain with you always. Even though she's no longer here physically, her spirit lives on in each of you, guiding and watching over you.

May her beautiful soul rest in perfect peace, and may God grant her eternal rest in paradise. I pray that God watches over and protects her children, guiding them with love and blessing their paths, and that He provides comfort and strength to her husband and to all of us who loved her dearly.Misturah, I know you are resting in peace now, in a place free from pain, and that brings me comfort. I promise to honor your memory by living fully and carrying forward the love and joy you gave us all. Until we meet again, dear sister, rest well. You will forever live on in our hearts."

Peacock, as I always called you, you were so much more than a friend; you were my sister, my confidant, my gist partner and honestly, it’s hard to believe you’re gone. That day, I came to your shop, expecting to see your warm smile and hear you call me “Iya Ladi” or “aya Eletu”like you always did, only to be met with the news of your passing, it was indeed the biggest shock of my life.

You lived such a beautiful life, a life that touched everyone around you, from the young to the old. You were a true blessing, a light that lifted spirits and brought comfort. I will miss our endless conversations, your laughter, and the warmth you brought into my world.

My dear Peacock, my heart aches, but I am grateful for the time we had. I pray that your gentle soul finds eternal peace and that God grants you a place among the blessed. May He continue to watch over your family, and may we all carry a piece of your light within us, never letting it fade.

Rest well, my dear friend, my sister. You will forever be missed and forever loved.

Why do good people die young? The Lord may take them away because their time is up on earth and they have fulfilled their assigned purposes. He may also do so in order to save them from an upcoming evil. May the good Lord watch over everything/everyone she left behind in the mighty name of Jesus.

LETTER OF CONDOLENCE
The news of the glorious transition of our Sister, Mrs Kikelomo Motunrayo Kareem, recently came to us as a great shock but with profound gratitude to God for a meaningful life well spent.
No doubt, our Sister lived a good and worthy Christian life and impacted positively the lives of many people in her immediate and extended families, Community, Church of God and humanity in general.
Mrs Kikelomo Motunrayo Kareem will be greatly missed not only by her family members but also by the Community and the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
Our consolation is that our Sister faithfully ran a good Christian race, diligently served God and humanity, ended well, and has gone to receive the crown promised the Faithful Departed Souls through the mercy of Christ.
We pray that the Almighty God will grant the family left behind the fortitude to bear the great loss.
Rest on our dear Sister in the bosom of your Creator, until the resurrection day when we meet to part no more

Dear Kike, even though I barely knew you in your lifetime, your husband, TJ and I come a longway. From our 'A' Levels studies days at Oyo State College of Arts and Science, Ile Ife in 79/80s, to our cadet training days at the Nigerian Defence Academy in '87, TJ and I bonded extra ordinarily. We played soccer together at College and during our Cadet training days. TJ does not speak frivolously on any issue or personality. But when he did, as he often recounted the life and time of the momentous union with you, it could only mean you were, as the Yankees would say, one 'helluva woman' - an euphemism for an extra ordinary super woman. I call your hubby Tee-Jay, whilst other mates call him 'Baba Kareem' as a mark of respect for his uncommon wisdom and perceptions on sundry issues. If he highly eugeolizes his better half in the the esteemed manner he does at your untimely depature from mother earth, it must then be on account of the sterling quality and stuff you were made of. No doubt you reside in better and more glorious abode now and we cannot question the Great Arbiter for the reason He wants you nearer to Him. Rest in peace, as the rest of us await His final call to yonder. Good night, Kike. We look forward to fellowshiping with you in the bossom of our Lord when our time is up.

*Condolences to Gen Kareem and Family*
I received the sad news of the passing to eternity of your loving wife. I am saddened that Mummy would leave at unriped age and at the time that you needed her companionship most. We cannot question God as death is inevitable to all mortals. The only consolation is that Mummy lived a noble life in the service of God and humanity. Take heart, sir, and remain strong for the rest of the family. May God in his infinite mercies grant the departed a peaceful rest in the Lord. May God console you and your family.

I never imagined I would be writing this message, especially after our last conversation when you asked, "When will you come to greet me and Dad at home?" It is shocking and deeply painful to hear of your passing.

Mummy, thank you for the love you showed us, for always picking us up from school our Pry school days, and for welcoming me into your family as one of your own. I am forever grateful for the friendship and brotherhood you encouraged between myself, Ajibola, Lolade, and Toluwalope. We will miss you dearly.

May Almighty God forgive all your shortcomings and grant you eternal peace. Rest well, Mummy.
