Obituary

With love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Kenneth Lee Howard, who departed this life on June 24, 2026, at the age of 51. Born 1975 in Chicago, Illinois, Kenny carried the strength and resilience of his roots throughout his life. He later made Jacksonville, Florida, his home, where he found peace near the water and enjoyed spending time fishing.

In 2008, Kenny found the love of his life in Monica McGlockton Howard. Together they shared twelve years of marriage, building a life centered on love, faith, and family. Through life's many seasons, they created memories that will forever be treasured.

A true jack of all trades, Kenny took pride in his work as an electrician, carpenter, contractor, woodworker, and entrepreneur. Gifted with his hands and an entrepreneurial spirit, he was always building, creating, and finding ways to help others.

Eight years before his transition, Kenny devoted his life to Yah as an Israelite, faithfully walking in the Torah and the faith of the Messiah. He loved Yah with all his heart, found joy in studying the Scriptures, and remained steadfast in his faith until the very end.

Kenny cherished his role as a husband, father, and grandfather. His family was his greatest joy, and the love, guidance, and values he shared will continue to live on through them.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Monica McGlockton Howard; his ten children, Keante, Trinity, Kenneth Jr., Kendred, Layla, Jayvion, Promise, Kingston, Zara, and Judah; and his cherished granddaughter, A'narii.

He is also survived by his sisters, Scheree Issa (Wayne Issa) and Lillian Hart (Jeffrey Hart); his brother, Ralph Jones Jr. (Shania Jones); his aunts and uncles, including Gloria Pearson (Alonza Pearson), Davetta Howard, Gerald Howard, Shirley Jean Howard Hill, Bonita Howard, and Edward Howard; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and lifelong friends. The family also extends special appreciation to the Brownlee family, who welcomed Kenny as one of their own.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his mother, Gaynelle Jones; his stepfather, Ralph Jones Sr.; his grandparents, Lillian Lacy and Louis Lacy; his uncle, Donald Howard; and his newborn daughter, Kennedi.

Though he will be deeply missed, Kenny's legacy lives on through the family he loved, the lives he touched, and the memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. The Howard family sincerely thanks everyone for their prayers, love, kindness, and support during this time of bereavement.

Kenny, thank you for being one of YAHUAH's gifts in my life. As a single mother, I often carried burdens that felt too heavy, yet you never hesitated to help carry my bags, offer your strength, or stand beside me when I needed someone most. Your kindness was quiet but powerful, and your heart was always willing to advocate for others. I will never forget that when others struggled to understand my emotional struggles and unconventional way of expressing myself, you chose compassion over judgment. You spoke on my behalf, encouraged others to extend grace, and because of your kindness, I remained among people who continued to be part of my spiritual journey. That act of mercy has never left my heart. You showed me what it means to lift another person's burdens through simple acts of love and steadfast character. "The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the gray head." (Proverbs 20:29). YAHUAH blessed this world with a strong man—not only in body, but in heart, compassion, humility, and integrity. Thank you, Kenny, for using your strength to lift others. Your kindness will never be forgotten, and your legacy will continue to live in the lives you touched. May YAHUAH grant comfort to Monica, your children, and all who loved you. You and your loved ones are eternally in my heart. Rest in His mercy

To Kenny, a cousin who as kids was like a brother. We ran the halls of school like manic lol thats a inside joke. Whether we were sharing inside jokes or navigating life’s ups and downs, back then even as adults before you left you had my back. You were always someone I could count on.
Though you are no longer with us, the memories we made will stay with me forever. Thank you my cousin , through childhood and our teenage years. You welcome me onto your home so I could create a new life with my family. You said that's what family for with no hesitation. Rest in peace, Kenny— my son's send their love. Shon is 25 now but said post that picture of me and cuz ma here yall go.
