Join us as we celebrate the life of a beloved mother, daughter, and sister in Christ, Kelly Anne Norman-Lovvorn
Kelly (Norman) Lovvorn departed peacefully while under the compassionate care of Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro on February 26, 2024, after valiantly combating a rare form of cancer for a year. She was just 55 years old.
Kelly's formative years unfolded in Mt. Pleasant, TN, before her family moved to Nashville, TN, where she graduated with distinction from Hunters Lane High School. Driven by an unwavering commitment to effect positive change in the lives of others, she pursued a degree in social work from Trevecca Nazarene University, embarking on a lifelong journey of service to others.
Kelly's vocational journey first led her to the Nashville Rescue Mission’s Women’s Hope Center, a haven dedicated to alcohol and drug rehabilitation for women, where her fervor for aiding individuals in their pursuit of recovery and faith flourished for over two decades. There, she not only excelled but also rose to the position of assistant director, leaving an indelible mark on countless lives.
She later transitioned to a new chapter in her career, channeling her compassion into the foster care system. In this realm, she continued her mission of providing support, guidance, and care to vulnerable children and families in need. Ultimately lending her expertise to the Human Relations Department at Community Health Systems, a national hospital corporation, Kelly's dedication knew no bounds.
Renowned for her quick wit and innate ability to infuse laughter and joy into the lives of those around her, Kelly leaves behind a cherished legacy of love and compassion.
She is survived by her only daughter, Hope Ashlyn Lovvorn of Chapel Hill, TN; her mother, Constance Caton Johnson of Madison, TN; her half-brother, Michael Norman of Mt. Pleasant, TN; and her nephew, Brandon Carter of Nashville, TN, alongside his two sons, Jeremiah and Zachariah. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Norman, and her sister, Christie Jackson.
A Celebration of Life service honoring Kelly's memory will be held at Parkway Baptist Church in Columbia, TN, on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., where we invite friends and family to gather to pay tribute to her life of love and service.
