In honor of a life that left footprints of love.

Obituary

With gratitude to God, we announce the passing of Mrs. Kehinde Adenike Oke, who was born on November 29, 1961, and passed away on July 16, 2026.

Kehinde will be remembered for kindness, generosity, and the quiet ability to bring people together. Family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues all experienced the warmth and sincerity that made time spent with Kehinde meaningful. Throughout life, Kehinde built lasting connections and touched many lives through simple acts of care, encouragement, and friendship. Conversations, shared moments, and everyday gestures created memories that will remain with those who had the privilege of knowing Kehinde.

The passing of Kehinde leaves a space that cannot be filled in our hearts. Yet the memories, wisdom, lessons, and moments shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her. We take solace in the assurance that Kehinde died in Christ and that she now rests peacefully in His presence, where there is no more pain, sorrow, or death. Though we grieve her absence, we rejoice in the hope of the resurrection and the promise that we shall meet again in glory.

Mrs Kehinde Adenike Oke (Mum, Grandmum, Sister, and Friend) will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

# TRIBUTE TO A GREAT MOTHER — MUMMY OKE

I honestly do not know where to begin, because some people are so special that words can never fully express what they meant to you.

I called her Mummy Oke. And looking back, I am grateful that I took the time to study and understand the kind of woman she was while she was still with us.

I have always been a very careful person when it comes to relating with people. My wife is also very much like me. We both don't easily form familiarity or reach out to people.

But somehow, God brought Mummy Oke into our lives.

Even before I personally became close to her, From afar, I could see the heart of a mother in her. And whenever my wife returned from church and spoke about her, she always had something good to say about how loving, caring, and motherly she was.

At some point we needed someone who could encourage us, pray with us, and simply help us find our way out.

Our thoughts went to her then we placed a call to her.

And the first thing she said was:

Omo mi! Omo mi nko?

Those words alone touched something in us.

Because that was who she was.

After the birth of our first daughter, Mummy Oke was one of the people who consistently checked on my wife and our baby. She would call and ask, Bawo l'are e? Omo mi nko?" She would ask after my wife, ask after the baby, and encourage us as first-time parents.

She didn't communicate with us as though we were just church members.

She communicated with us as though we were her biological children.

That was when I began to understand that God had truly sent an angel into our lives.

She prayed with us. She consoled us. She encouraged us. She showed us love.

And most importantly, she kept praying.

She didn't just pray once and forget about us. She followed up. She kept showing concern because that's what true mothers do.

She promised that she would keep praying for Momoreoluwa, and she did.

And this is the part that breaks my heart the most.

She could not wait to see what God was about to do.

Mummy, it is so painful.

You carried us in your heart.
You carried our daughter in your prayers.
You cared for us as though we were your own.

Even when you were dealing with your own battles, you still found space to pray for others.

You truly lived a good and impactful life.
Looking at the pictures I took of you about five years ago, I can only smile through my tears and say:

What a great mother you were.

You were a mother to many. You were a source of encouragement.

You were a woman of prayer. You were an angel God sent to many families, and I am grateful that our family was one of them.

Mummy, thank you.

Thank you for every call.
Thank you for every Omo mi.
Thank you for every prayer.
Thank you for believing God with us.

Though you are no longer here to witness it physically, your prayers will speak. Your love will speak. Your impact will speak.

We will never forget you, Mummy.

You came into our lives, you loved us, you prayed for us, and you left an impact that death cannot erase.

Rest well, Mummy Oke.
Your love will continue to live. And your legacy will never be forgotten.

Thank you, Mummy. Thank you for everything.

May your beautiful soul rest peacefully in the bosom of the Lord.

Until we meet again, Mummy. ❤️🕊️

Aunty,
Your passing has been a rude shock. I have found it difficult to put these words together because it still feels surreal that you are no longer with us.
Although we did not see each other as often as we would have liked, it was always a joy to see you, hear from you, or speak with you. I can only rest in God’s decision to take you home.
I will always remember you as a loving and caring aunt—“Oko mi,” as you affectionately greeted me every single time over the past 37 years or more.
Thank you for being such a devoted and caring wife to our late Uncle Bayo, right to the very end, and for the love you showed us as a family.
I look back fondly on the fun times we shared—when you would bring the girls to Port Harcourt for the holidays, when we visited you as a family, and when you trusted me enough to let little Damilola come with me at just two years old for a short holiday. She even turned three while she was with us. I remember your days in Ikoyi with us, when I would always come to your apartment to spend time with you, and how you entered our lives like a beautiful fragrance. When you had Damilola, she became my baby instantly!
I wish I had made more time to see you. I kept thinking, “I need to visit Aunty,” and while those thoughts were still on my mind, the news of your passing came.
You have left a gap that only the Lord can fill.
I pray He holds Kehinde, Damilola, and Adeola close in His strong arms, keeps them in the hollow of His hands, and does far more for them than you could have ever asked or imagined.
Aunty, E sun re o! Rest in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though you have left us, your memories will remain ever fresh and cherished. We will miss having you among us.
Adieu, Mama Dami, until we meet again on the resurrection morning!

THE BREATH OF LIFE TO A PATCH OF DRY EARTH

“Opelenge subu lu awo, awo ko fo, sugbon o subu lu odo ni odo ba fayaaa”

Opelenge is a paragon of a kind of eye catching stunning beauty, slim and delectable difficult to ignore because of her air of serene youth!

That is Aunty KEHINDE ADENIKE OKE nee Adewole when she was enticed into the OKE nest in January of 1988 fresher than a sweet sixteen, chaste and tranquil. If you miss everything else you cannot miss her aristocratic nose and calming quiet essence. She fitted in and built her niche in the family as a devoted mother not only to her two children she had in quick succession but to other family members and as sister to peers as well as aunty to younger ones and respectful aburo to the elders. She became every bit an OKE!

A pioneer IT professional as a Data Analyst and programmer in the early days of the
Profession she was more that beauty and home maker but also brains 🧠!

If there was ever an untimely passage herself was one and the impact of her loss is already and will be sorely felt. But we thank God for her gems Kehinde Somesi, Damilola and Deola, who we will forever cherish because when it seem Uncle Bayo at 52 was going to be a dry unfruitful patch earth “you” came and like a breath of fresh air from GOD HIMSELF!

REST IN POWER!

Tribute to our late Aunty(Mummy Oke)
I looked at my wedding video and saw you dancing joyfully and spraying money on my parents. I found myself wondering, “How did this happen?” It is still difficult to comprehend that you are no longer here with us. But our consolation is in God and in the assurance that He knows all things.

You were a good aunt to me. Growing up, I learnt discipline and some of the values of good home training during those days when i came to spend my holidays with you at Abesan Estate, we hardly missed morning and evening devotions. You were intentional about your role as a wife, and you were always present and actively involved in every family function and church activities. You did it with so much joy and excitement.

Looking back, I believe you lived a meaningful life and left a legacy that will continue to speak. I pray that the values, love, sacrifices, and everything you represented while on earth will continue to manifest through the lives of those you touched.

Keep resting in the Lord, Ma. We may not understand it all, but we trust the One who knows all things. May the Lord comfort all those you left behind in Jesus Name.

It is well.

Tribute to My Late Sister-in-Law Kehinde Adenike Oke

The news of her death was so shocking and unbelievable to me as we spoke less than 48hrs before, it feels like a dream that I need to wake up from. Nevertheless, I honor the memory of my beloved sister-in-law, a woman whose life was a blessing to everyone privileged to know her. We are consoled in the reality of “To live is Christ and to die is gain” Philippians 1:21.

She was a loving, caring, and dependable person who always put the needs of others before her own. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her warm heart made everyone feel welcome and valued. Whether in times of joy or difficulty, she could always be counted upon for support, encouragement, and wise counsel.

She was more than a sister-in-law to me; she was a true friend, a confidant, and a source of strength to my family. Her gentle spirit, unwavering dedication to family, and selfless acts of love left an enduring mark on our lives. She brought people together with her compassion and generosity.

Though her passing leaves a deep void in our hearts, we are grateful for the precious memories she gave us. We take comfort in knowing that she lived well and sje is now resting in God's arms.

We will forever cherish your memory, Sis Nike. We celebrate your remarkable life, and thank God for the gift you were to our family.

May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace. You are deeply missed.

I’m honestly not sure where to start or what to say. I’m heartbroken that death took you from us but who are we to challenge God.

I’m really hurt that I got too occupied in my own world that we didn’t spend as much time recently and i didn’t get to spoil you as much as i hoped to.

I really miss you, our shared interests, all our technology industry conversations, life, family, love and everything in between.

You have always been the best, the most reassuring and the most accommodating person i know.

I love you always and forever, My Baby❤️.

Our Best Big Mummy!!

It's really incredible to us that we have to do this.
Honestly, everything really still feels like a rude blur
But we MUST be grateful in all things, and indeed we choose gratitude.
No doubt, we still pinch ourselves, hoping to come out of what can be likened to a bad dream
But we MUST be grateful in all things, and indeed we choose gratitude.

Big Mummy!
Thank you for your quiet and ferocious care;
Thank you for your thorough direction, and most of all, thank you for being a Model.
Thank you, Mummy

We are indeed grateful for the life you lived.
Grateful to have been part of your family and to have been part of your journey on this side.

Our hope is in the assurance that we will fellowship together again and forever.

I love you Big Mum.

Tribute to Mrs. Kehinde Oke “Mummy Dammy”

A Tribute of Love, Gratitude and Beautiful Memories

It is difficult to find the right words to describe the loss of a woman who was not merely a family member, but a beautiful part of our upbringing and our lives.

Mrs. Kehinde Oke our beloved Mummy Dammy was a woman whose presence left an indelible mark on us. From those early days in Ikoyi to our years in Abesan Estate, she was there, quietly and lovingly helping to raise us, guide us and shape us into the people we are today.

As boys, we played a lot. We were mischievous, energetic and, admittedly, sometimes too much to handle. Yet Mummy Dammy accommodated us. She tolerated our countless acts of naughtiness with a remarkable patience, but she also knew exactly when to draw the line. And when we crossed it, you could read everything from that look on her face before she even said a word

Those summer days remain precious memories. No matter how much we had played or how much trouble we had caused, she would not let us simply go to bed without giving us her warm advice. She had a way of correcting you without diminishing you, of being stern without being unkind, and of teaching without making you feel unloved.

That was Mummy Dammy.

She was warm and friendly, yet wonderfully firm. She knew what she believed in, trusted her instincts and remained true to her principles. She was a woman of conviction. She did not need to be the loudest person in the room. She was often silent, observing and listening, but when she spoke, it was usually because something needed to be said and you listened.

She was always beautifully dressed, carrying herself with an unmistakable confidence and dignity. She had a natural ability to bring people together, to make people feel welcome and to create warmth around her.

Even after almost fifty years, I still remember some of those stern looks and signals. Indeed, I was reminded of them recently at my sister's wedding. It was one of those moments that made me realise just how deeply certain memories become part of us. Time may pass, but some people never truly leave us; they continue to live in the stories we tell, the lessons we carry and the little things we remember.

Mummy Dammy exuded confidence, integrity and grace. She loved my Uncle dearly, and that love was evident in the beautiful family they built together. Her daughters are a testament to the values she cherished a beautiful, well trained and well grounded family that she could be proud of.

Today, I choose to remember her not only with sadness, but with profound gratitude.

Gratitude for the years.
Gratitude for the guidance.
Gratitude for the laughter.
Gratitude for the discipline.
Gratitude for the countless memories.
And gratitude for the privilege of having known and been loved by such a remarkable woman.

Mummy Dammy, thank you for being part of our story. Thank you for helping to raise us. Thank you for every word of advice, every correction, every smile and even every stern look that we understood only later.

I will forever cherish those moments.

Your physical presence may have left us, but the woman you were and the values you embodied remain with us. Your memory will continue to live in the hearts of everyone you touched, especially those of us who had the privilege of growing under your watchful and loving care.

Rest peacefully, Mummy Dammy.

You lived a life that mattered.
You loved deeply.
You gave generously.
You raised beautifully.
And you will never be forgotten.

May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

Tribute to Mama-Oke

Some people come into our lives quietly, yet their impact echoes for a lifetime. Mama-Oke was one of those rare souls; a woman who carried herself with grace and strength, and whose heart was large enough to embrace and care for so many.

To me, she was more than a mentor, more than a guardian, and more than a choir mistress; she was a mother in every way that truly mattered.

She shaped my character and guided my path. She supported my education, pushed me, encouraged me, and constantly reminded me that my dreams were valid and worth pursuing. Her voice both in song and in counsel helped shape my journey. Through her words and example, she taught me discipline, excellence, perseverance, and the importance of always giving my best.

Mama-Oke stood by me during moments when support was scarce. She saw goodness where others saw uncertainty, and she saw potential where others saw risk. Her support was never about recognition or praise; it was quiet, steady, sincere, and unwavering. She gave because she genuinely cared.

Looking back today, I realize even more deeply how much her kindness and belief in me contributed to the person I became. Her influence did not end with me; it lives on in the values I carry and in the family I have built. For that, I will always be grateful.
Her passing has left a silence that words struggle to fill. Yet, even within that silence, her legacy continues to speak. It speaks through the values she instilled, the confidence she nurtured, and the love she gave so freely. It speaks through every life she touched, every song she led, and every young person she encouraged and lifted.

Today, I honour Mama-Oke not with sorrow, but with profound gratitude; gratitude for her kindness, her sacrifices, her guidance, and, above all, the motherly love she offered so freely and without hesitation.

Mama-Oke, though you are no longer here with us, your influence remains powerful and permanent.
You lived well.
You loved deeply.
You gave generously.
And you have left behind a legacy of compassion, strength, faith, and love that will not be forgotten.

May your memory continue to inspire us, and may we have the courage to carry forward the goodness you wished for us all.

#Thank you, Mama-Oke, for inspiring me.
#Thank you for supporting me.
#Thank you for being there when it mattered.
#And thank you for being a mother to me.

Your impact on my life will never be forgotten.
May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

Mama Oke, as you fondly called me, “MY WIFE,” I was supposed to have written this tribute much earlier, but I kept hoping that someone would tell me you had woken up. Now, I have come to the painful realization that you are no longer with us, but resting peacefully in the bosom of the Lord. We take solace in the Almighty God, knowing that you are in a better place.
Grandma was so kind and loving to me. Even though we met at FESBACH, where she was the WMU President, she treated me with so much love and affection. She always asked about my wellbeing, and on some days, she would give me a little token to enjoy myself. She would also tell me that if anyone ever wanted to maltreat me, I should let her know. That was the kind of person she was, always caring, protective, and genuinely concerned about the people around her.
She was truly an angel in human form. She loved my family so much and even continued to check on us after we relocated to the United Kingdom. Although I was not very close to her, she treated me like her own daughter. She called me “MY WIFE,” but beyond that name was a special bond filled with love, care, and warmth that I will forever cherish.
Grandma, your kindness and beautiful memories will remain in my heart. You touched my life in a special way, and I will always be grateful that our paths crossed.

May your beautiful soul continue to rest in perfect peace. May the good Lord comfort and strengthen the family you left behind and give us the grace to bear this great loss.
We love you, but God loves you more.
Rest well, Grandma. Until we meet again. 🕊️❤️

Who is Mrs Oke according to scripture.

Proverbs 31:20, 25-26 (NIV)*

Mummy Oke was a Lovely soul.
A family person to the core. I remember her blunt and disciplinary nature. She was always concerned about everyone and never turned a deaf ear to anyone in need.
I remember her asking about my education and what my plans were. She was at my wedding ceremony and of course extended her usual hand of kindness and generousity to me personally.
The news of Mummy Oke's passing was a Shocking news for me.
But our joy and confidence is that she is in a better place, singing unto God with the Angels 🕊.
I pray that God Almighty will comfort the family she left behind.

TRIBUTE TO MUMMY OKE!

‎The news of your passing came to me as a great shock, and it remains the saddest news I have received this year.

‎The thought of your departure took me on a journey back to the days of my childhood and early adulthood in the church, when you were appointed as our music director.

‎ You were far more than a music director to us. You became a mother to many of us. You took us as your children, cared for us, and showered us with the kind of love and affection that only a truly loving mother could give.

‎You gave us invaluable motherly counsel and words of wisdom that shaped our lives and helped make us who we are today. ‎

‎You celebrated our achievements as though they were your own, your words of encouragement gave us hope, your advice gave us direction, and your generosity remains unforgettable. ‎

‎Today, we mourn your departure, but we also celebrate the beautiful life you lived and the countless lives you touched. You may have gone to rest, but your good deeds, your sacrifices, your counsel, your generosity, and your love have left an indelible mark in our hearts.

‎Mummy! Mummy!

‎‎Thank you for loving us.

‎Thank you for believing in us.

‎Thank you for giving so much of yourself to us.

‎May your beautiful soul rest peacefully in the bosom of the Lord.

Mummy Oke!!!

A woman who called me her own "omomi."
You left so suddenly!
I knew you as a MOTHER indeed! You were a strong and selfless woman who loved God so much. Quick to correct, not condemningly, but IN LOVE! You disliked injustice and would lend your voice when you see such happen.

I remember about 11 years ago when you sent a job link to me asking that I made sure I apply thoroughly as your mind came to me immediately you saw the job advert... Hmmm! Abiyamo olómo púpò 🥰 she loved other people's children as though they were hers!

I saw your message two saturdays before your demise, you said: "Omomi, it's unlike you, I didn't see your name..." but I didn't understand, so I thought it was right to call you for clarity rather than exchange chats with you.
I can't believe that was the last time I will ever hear your voice.

It's such a hard pill to swallow as each time it flashes through my mind that you've joined the angels, it feels like a dream.

I held back on sharing with you... and now, you're no more! 💔 💔

Big Mummy,

There is so much to say and somehow, it feels like words will never be enough. You were a mother through and through. You nurtured us, loved us, corrected us, listened to us, prayed for us, and made us feel like we truly belonged to you. From childhood, you were not just our big mummy, you were our friend.

You taught us about Jesus, took us to church, taught us to love God, and showed us what it meant to live for Christ. I pray that everything you taught us will continue to live through us.

I will always remember the day you sent me to the bank alone for the first time. I was so scared, but you told me exactly what to say and gave me the confidence to do it. You trusted us, prepared us for the life ahead at a young age, and believed in us. I’ll also remember the little things, like how you always wanted your cash arranged numerically and facing the same direction. You were that detailed. ❤️

You were always giving, always ready to listen, and always able to turn every big problem into something that could be solved. Your life touched more people than you probably ever realised.

But even through this pain, I am grateful. Grateful that I got to know you, Grateful that I got to be nurtured by you, Grateful for every lesson, every prayer, every smile and every moment we shared as a family.

You may have left this earth, but the lives you have touched will continue to carry you.

I hope you are dancing with the angels now, just like you always do.❤️

Rest well, Big Mummy.
Until we meet again, I love you❤️

I knew iya Oke first as WMU president of Fesbatch, from there to the day of our baby naming ceremony which she came, the House fellowship in our area was stirred up again, she kept coming to the house to care for the child as little as the baby was, whenever she comes she requests first, water and soap to wash her hands before she can carry the baby, she will stay and rock the baby to sleep each time she comes. The love between us grew so well that she calls the baby Arewa mi each time she sees or ask after the baby well being. The House fellowship made the bond to be strong that each fellowship was always a thing to look forward to on Sunday evenings evev though some evenings aren't convenient for most people sometimes but because of the Love we shared in the house fellowship through visitation and the sweet contribution iya Oke always makes together with the other Grandma in the fellowship made the house fellowship always sweet. Iya Oke will always say we must do our house fellowship party and Carry the most expensive in the Budget of the party. Can't just forget how simple she took life and lived for Jesus..it's something am trusting God to help me achieve as a live my life having the mindset of Jesus in view.

I can say iya Oke lived a Christian life and lived a life of love to the humanity.
I pray the Lord help us remaining here to live for Jesus our Master on a daily basis and we end well in Jesus name... Amen
I miss you mameh.... She will reply by saying Omo e... Arewa mi misses you so much though she does not know so much about your transition, but she smiles whenever I show her your photo.. she will say Grandma...

Rest on Iya Oke...

Tribute to Deaconess Adenike Kehinde Oke

With deep sorrow and gratitude to God, I honor Deaconess Adenike Kehinde Oke, a woman of faith whose life was marked by devotion, humility, and love.

She walked closely with Christ, showing His love through kindness, a gentle spirit, and faithful service. She encouraged the weary and strengthened the needy with her substance.

Her presence brought comfort, her life brought light, and her faith touched many hearts. She gave herself fully to God and left behind a legacy of love.

Though we mourn her passing, we are comforted that she rests with her Lord. Her life reminds us that those in Christ never truly die.

We thank God for her life and the inspiration she leaves behind.

Tribute to My Baby,

Still in shock you are no more. Took long to do this. However, With hearts filled with both sorrow and gratitude, we celebrate the life of an amazing woman who was like a mother to me. Though your departure has left a great void but we are comforted by the assurance of God’s Word that “precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints” (Psalm 116:15).

My Baby was a woman of faith, love, and compassion whose life reflected the goodness of Christ. You touched countless lives, loved sincerely, served selflessly.

You were more than a family friend or mentor but was a mother in every sense of the word. I remembered how your advice and encouragement had helped me. You would call me to talk about life and being a better person in life. To Stay away from distractions like girlfriends and focusing, that I should be a good example to my younger ones. You were our go to person when we are hurt and confused. You were indeed a friend. I remembered one time I crashed your car, and instead of getting angry, you said cars are to be crashed and you asked if I was okay. Thank you for all you did in my life. I am glad we all did not disappoint you.

Although we mourn because we will miss you deeply. we do not grieve without hope. The Bible reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 4:13–14 that those who die in Christ will live again. We rejoice in the confidence that you have finished your earthly race, kept the faith, and has entered into the presence of your Saviour, where there is no more pain, sorrow, or death.

Your legacy of faith, love, humility, and service will continue to inspire us. We thank God for the privilege of having you in our lives and for the many lives you blessed through your prayers, generosity, and godly example.

As we say goodbye, we do so with the blessed hope that one day, by God’s grace, we shall meet again in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

May your soul rest in perfect peace My Baby.

My Best Big Mum,

It still feels so unreal that you are gone and I will never speak with you again in this life.

You are so precious to me. The best of the best. I love your life perspectives, they were always so practical, objective and honest. You are the most considerate, kind and thoughtful. You were our sage from which we drew wisdom, the literal centre of gravity of our family.

Losing you and my mum in quick successions, feels a lot like losing my core, like my feet was swept of the ground and I lost balance.

Regardless, knowing how considerate you are, I am assured that in your final moments, you considered me, my sisters, my brothers and all your many children and you were sure that we will be fine. Indeed, we will be fine and we will make you proud.

Continue to enjoy eternal rest with God. I love you immensely my Best Big Mum.

Your baby, Jesulayomi.

When you think you have a mighty problem, Mama Oke will sit with you, hold your hand, and break that problem down into small, solvable pieces with prayers, encouragement, and unwavering support. Oh, Grandma was so blessed with words.
I don't even know how to grieve. You just went like that. I was supposed to give you a surprise visit this month. Haa... God, I don't understand.
Grandma was the one who would call me just to ask about my blood pressure, whether I had tried this or that, and how I was coping. How she managed to keep up with everyone, I honestly don't know.
She showed me an unconditional motherly love that I never expected. She welcomed me as though she had known me all her life. She loved deeply, and she cared deeply.
Momore doesn't understand much, but I know, in her own little way, she is wishing you a peaceful rest.
Grandma, we love you so much, and I pray you are resting peacefully in heaven. Thank you for every prayer, every encouraging word, every phone call, and every act of love. Your kindness will never be forgotten, and your memory will forever remain in our hearts.
Rest well, Mama Oke, until we meet again. 🕊️🤍

Mom,
It has taken me a long time to write this because it still doesn't feel real. From the time I was a little baby, always by your side, you loved and cared for me as though I were your own. Putting these words together is heartbreaking.
Some of my most cherished memories were made with you, from celebrating my 10th birthday at your home to watching me grow through every stage of school. You were there through it all. As a family, we will never truly get over your loss. You have left a space in our hearts that can never be filled.
I find comfort in knowing how many lives you touched with your kindness, love, warmth, and unwavering support. We are truly blessed and honoured to have experienced the love you gave so freely. You never turned anyone away, especially children. You always had time to listen, offer guidance, and make everyone feel safe. Even when some children couldn't speak to their own parents, they knew they could always confide in you.
To me, I will always be "your baby," and I will carry your love with me for the rest of my life.
Rest peacefully, Mommy. You will always be loved, deeply missed, and forever remembered.

It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to a wonderful woman I have known since I was a little child. Mama was truly one of a kind—a lively, cheerful and kind-hearted woman whose presence brought joy wherever she went.

One thing I will always remember about her was how easily she connected with everyone. She had a warm and welcoming spirit that made people feel comfortable the moment they met her. She never met a stranger for long; with her genuine smile, caring heart and friendly nature, she effortlessly made everyone feel like family.

Her laughter was infectious, her kindness was sincere, and her love for people was evident in the way she treated everyone with respect and compassion. She left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we are thankful for the beautiful memories she leaves behind. Her legacy of love, kindness, warmth, and unity will continue to live on through her children, family and all who were blessed to know her.

My heartfelt condolences to the entire family. May God grant you strength, comfort, and peace during this difficult time, and may He grant Mama eternal rest.

Rest well, dear Mrs Oke. Your vibrant spirit, beautiful heart, and the love you shared so freely will never be forgotten. You will forever remain in our hearts.

A Tribute to the Life of My Wonderful Sister, Mrs. Omokehinde Adenike Oke.

With gratitude to God for a life well lived, I celebrate the beautiful memories of my beloved sister, a devoted mother, and a wonderful grandmother.

My beloved sister was far more than a family member; you were a precious gift from God. To me, you were both a dear first cousin and a wonderful sister whose love, wisdom, and encouragement enriched my life in countless ways.

Though my heart is heavy with sorrow, I rejoice in the lasting legacy of faith, compassion, kindness, and selfless service that you left behind. You were a devoted mother, a loving, caring, and accommodating sister, a cherished cousin, and a proud grandmother. You embraced each of these roles with grace, patience, and unconditional love. Your home was a place of warmth, where family members always found acceptance, comfort, and encouragement.

Above all, you were a true lover of God and His work. Your faith was not merely something you professed; it was something you lived every day. You faithfully served the Lord with joy, humility, and dedication, allowing the love of Christ to shine through your words and actions. You believed in serving others, encouraging the discouraged, and guiding people toward God through your example.

One of your greatest achievements was your extraordinary heart for the needy. You were a compassionate caregiver who willingly gave your time, strength, and resources to help those in need. You never sought recognition for your kindness; instead, you quietly demonstrated God’s love through acts of generosity and mercy. Many lives were touched because you chose to care, to give, and to serve without expecting anything in return.

I will always remember your gentle smile, your calming words, and the genuine concern you showed for everyone around you. Your kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith have left an imprint on my heart and on the hearts of others; an imprint that time can never erase.

Although I grieve because I will miss your presence, I take comfort in knowing that you fought the good fight, kept the faith, and have entered into the eternal rest prepared by the Lord for His faithful servants.

Your life reminds us that true greatness is found not in wealth or status, but in loving God wholeheartedly and serving others faithfully.

My wonderful Egbon, thank you for all you did and for opening the door of your house when I needed it most.

May your gentle soul rest in the perfect peace of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, until we meet again in His glorious presence.

Rest in peace, Egbon mi; Omokehinde Adenike Aduke Oke.

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever missed.

Some people enter our lives through work, but leave an everlasting mark on our hearts. What began as a professional relationship with you as my software vendor became one of the greatest blessings in my life—you became the big sister I never knew I needed.

Thank you for your unwavering support, encouragement, and kindness. You believed in me during moments of doubt, celebrated my victories, and reminded me to keep moving forward through every challenge. Your generosity, wisdom, and genuine care have shown me that the best relationships are built on trust, love, and consistency, not just shared responsibilities.

In a world where many connections are transactional, you chose to invest in me as a person, and for that I will always be grateful. Thank you for being more than a vendor you became family. I pray that life rewards your kindness abundantly to all the family members you left behind. you will surely be missed !!!.

I never imagined that I would be writing your obituary so soon.

As much as I tried not to post about you, I couldn't hold back anymore. I needed to speak about who you were to me and to everyone privileged enough to know you.

Though you were my friend's mother, you became a mother to so many of us. Your heart was open to everyone. You were a confidant, a great listener, and a safe place. You had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and valued. Every time I came to you seeking wisdom, you welcomed me with such calmness, patience, and grace. Your words always carried comfort, direction, and hope.

You were a woman of unwavering faith—a true believer in every sense of the word. Your life reflected the values you held so dearly: love, kindness, humility, compassion, and service. You never had to force your goodness; it simply flowed from who you were.

It is difficult to understand why people with such beautiful hearts are called home so soon. Oh death, where is your sting? Your departure leaves behind a silence that words cannot fully describe.

Today, I choose not only to mourn you but to celebrate a life so beautifully lived. A life that touched countless hearts. A life that reminded us that true greatness is found in kindness, faith, and genuine love for others.

Your absence has created a vacuum that no one can truly fill, but your legacy will continue to live on through every life you impacted, every lesson you taught, and every act of love you shared.

I pray that God grants your daughters, your family, and everyone who loved you the strength, comfort, and peace to bear this immense loss. May He surround them with His love and uphold them during this difficult time.

Thank you for loving us as your own. Thank you for your wisdom, your prayers, your encouragement, and your gentle spirit. Heaven has indeed gained an angel, but our hearts are heavier because earth has lost one of its finest.

Rest well, Mama. Your race was well run, your impact was immeasurable, and your memory will forever remain a blessing.

It emerged slowly like the rising sun it's shinning glory, spreading it's wing in flight, soaring in intense knowledge colorful as flowers each morning, impacting goodness every where it visited, refreshing as the morning dew. She is for the morning, chosen among many for an urgent duty life imparting but brief like a fleeting breath, working hard for accomplishment with humility standing in gap in battle with prayer and encouragement. A Tribute to My Darling Sister, Mrs. Kehinde Adenike Oke (Nee Adewole)

16th July 2026—an unforgettable date that will forever remain etched in my heart. It is the day my beloved sister suddenly passed to glory. A day that changed my life forever.

Just a few days before your departure, you asked me to join you in a prayer of agreement for your children. We prayed together in faith, believing God for God's perfect will over their lives. Little did I know that those prayers would become one of our final moments together on this side of eternity.

Exactly a year earlier, we had lost your immediate younger sister, who was also my immediate elder sister. The pain of that loss was still fresh, and now you, too, have gone to be with the Lord. My heart still struggles to understand it.

One of my greatest treasures was having both of you with me here in the United Kingdom for over three months. Those days were filled with laughter, heartfelt conversations, prayers, and unforgettable memories. Looking back now, I wonder if God was giving me a special gift of time with both of you before calling you home. I never imagined that those precious months would become our farewell.

Kehinde, our relationship was extraordinary. We loved each other deeply and unconditionally. No one could come between us or make either of us betray the trust we shared. We guarded each other's secrets faithfully. Not even our parents or our other siblings could break the bond between us. You were my secret box, and I was yours. We found it almost impossible to stay upset with each other because love always won.

You were a God-fearing woman whose life reflected Christ. You were meek, painstaking, selfless, loving, caring, calm, and a wise counsellor. Your unwavering faith inspired everyone around you. You carried yourself with quiet strength and uncommon grace. Beyond your beautiful heart, you were blessed with radiant, flawless skin and an elegant figure that reflected the beauty within.

Oh, my darling sister... Kehindeeeeee!

You always called me Akanke, and whenever you hailed me with, "Ọbi! Poppoo!", my heart would light up with joy. How I long to hear those sweet words from your lips just one more time. Those names were more than nicknames—they were expressions of the special bond we shared, a bond that death can never erase.

Did you really keep your final thoughts hidden from me, your Akanke? Or did Baba God choose not to reveal them to either of us? Those questions still echo in my heart. Yet I find comfort in knowing that you fought a good fight, kept the faith, and have entered into the glorious presence of the Lord whom you loved and served faithfully.

Though my heart aches every day because I miss you beyond words, I will forever cherish the memories we made, the laughter we shared, the tears we wiped away for each other, the prayers we offered together, and the unconditional love that defined our relationship.

I loved you.
I love you.
And I will forever love you.

You will always remain in my heart until the day we meet again in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Rest well, my beautiful sister.
Sleep on in perfect peace, until we meet again.

Forever your Akanke.

With endless love,

Hannah James

Christmas seasons were always the best back then, when the whole family gathered at my mum's house and Daddy Dami would buy bangers and knockouts for us to play with.

I remember how you would come to Ibadan and stay with us, especially in my room, alongside your driver then (Uncle Taiye, if I remember correctly). It was always a joy having you around because you never failed to pamper me.

Thank you for the beautiful memories and for helping shape my understanding of what family truly means. Your love, warmth, and presence will always be remembered.
