2 Corinthians 5:7-9 CEV
7 But we live by faith, not by what we see 8 We should be cheerful, because we would rather leave these bodies and be at home with the Lord. 9 But whether we are at home with the Lord or away from him, we still try our best to please him.
Come celebrate the life of Juanita Martin...
Obituary
We invite you to celebrate the life of Mrs. Juanita Gilford Martin. During her long life, she was fortunate enough to have many different titles — devoted wife, caring mother, compassionate grandmother, proud great grandmother, grateful aunt and loving friend. To know her, you knew unwavering love, bountiful energy and an ever present support system. She loved freely and cared deeply.
Juanita the woman had many facets of life that brought her tremendous joy. She was eager to say yes to a car ride with family or friends to venture out to a restaurant, have a quick escape from home or simply to ride and look out the window. She was unafraid to telephone a loved one to talk about their day, be a thoughtful listener to the happenings in their lives, or simply find out what channel a game was coming on. She was consistent in her steadfast loyalty to watching The Price is Right at 11:00am, never passed up a crossword puzzle to complete, loved watching TV on volume loud and simply looking out the door to watch squirrels play and see who was driving by. She was an avid reader, diligent worker and connoisseur of food. But most importantly to her, she loved her Lord and Savior, her church, her family and her friends. While we may miss her struggling to hear what was being said in church when people didn’t use the microphones, or the critiques she freely bestowed on her family desire for new restaurants in town and programming on TV, we know that she enjoyed life to the fullest.
When we think of a life well lived, we think of her. She died friendless because she knew everyone as family, a brother or sister in Christ, or a person that she cherished forever. She died exhausted because she lived everyday, seized every experience offered to her and said yes to living every memory made. And yes she died, but because she lived, she loved, and she laughed. Today she is the most fortunate person we know - she is rejoicing with her Heavenly Father, she is reunited with those that preceded her, she is at peace, she knows no struggles and she is able to reflect back on a life well lived. Today we celebrate with anguished jealousy with hope that we can live a life so well lived. Today we celebrate the most fortunate person we know who was blessed to know that the people she loved and cared about, loved and cared about her also. Today we celebrate Juanita, mom, ma, grandma, aunt Pete, and so many other monikers for the woman who taught us all selfless love.

One would describe Juanita Martin, my grandmother, as caring, loving, youthful, a lover of her family, with a good sense of humor and always having a smile on her face. She was wise in life and through her experiences… she have seen a lot and persevered through it all.
Let's take a look at a description of love in the Bible:
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NIV
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
My sincere thoughts and prayers goes out to her family and friends, let’s build each other up, let’s reverse the curses that have been placed on our people by keeping the commandments, and let’s get more in the spirit of serving each other. Ultimately what I am saying is let’s strive together to make it to the kingdom,
The greatest example is Jesus Christ giving up his life and being the ultimate sacrifice for us to live. Giving up your life for someone (your friends) in righteousness is the most selfless and honorable action a person can do. Christ already done this for us, so surely we can forgive others so we can be forgiven by the Father, and then have a clean slate to be a blessing in the lives of others in love,
We all need to treat others, even the least of them, like we want to be treated.
Matthew 25:40 KJV
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Use this day of reading this to repent from sin, and to be more specific on how we treat one another, because ultimately the actions we do is done in the name of the Heavenly Father, so we need to impress Him...
I thank you Heavenly Father in the name of Yahawah, and his son, Yahawashi. Also, I love you all. Amen
