O my sweet sister. I called her Jobird because Joyce was too hard for me as a child. Jobird was one of a kind and unique at that. She loved museums (Ronald Regan was her favorite). Eating out and shopping at Cracker Barrel almost monthly. I will miss her text and phone calls wanting to know what we were up to and talked about the weather. Yes my sister was a unique woman who's love for God, family gatherings, vbs, church lunches and singing and bowling, I will miss her dearly. You'll always be with me sis. Now you can sing Barbara Streisands songs as loud as you want. I love you Jobird 😍

Joyce, you will always have a special place in our hearts. We met you when we were all little kids. It was so nice to see you through the years at the Burkhart family gatherings. You always had a big smile on your face. Everyone loved you and we will meet again in our Lords house.

Joyce "Aunt Jobird" was one of a kind. My mom and I would meet with her almost monthly to have lunch and do some shopping. She always ordered blue cheese on the side, no matter what dish it was. She loved to people watch and go to museums. We even drove out to see the rose parade boats one year. When I was in college, she let me use her car for an internship. She would always check up on us to see how we were doing, what we were up to, and what the plan was for the day. She has helped my family in many ways, and has always been there for us. Aunt Jobird had a big personality full of love, comedy, adventurous, and curiosity. She will truly be missed, and hope to see her again one day.
