Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day.

Obituary

Joseph Edward Radcliffe, 39, of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away tragically on July 19, 2025, as the result of a car accident. Born on January 14, 1986, in Bloomington, Illinois, Joseph was a beloved son, devoted father, caring brother, and loyal friend.

Joseph was the cherished son of Rachel Radcliffe and the late Reginald Giles (who preceded him in death in 2019). His life was one rooted in love, laughter, and resilience. He took immense pride in being a father and leaves behind five beautiful children: Trae Alexander Brunson, Brinley Nicole Radcliffe, Jordan Joseph Jaramillo, Kai Joseph Giles, and Zaeyveon Giles, who will carry forward his spirit and legacy.

He is survived by his loving mother, Rachel Radcliffe, and his three sisters—Angel Radcliffe, Lakia Radcliffe, and Rachelle Oliver—who will remember him for his humor, protective nature, and the deep bond they shared.

A lifelong fan of football, Joseph bled navy and orange for his beloved Chicago Bears. He was also an avid supporter of the Chicago Cubs and found joy in sports, often sharing that passion with his children and friends. His voice could often be heard cheering on his teams, whether from the stands or the couch on game day.

Those who knew Joseph remember his warm smile, sharp wit, and big heart. He had a gift for making others laugh and an unwavering loyalty to those he loved. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—family cookouts, long conversations, and being present for those who needed him.

Joseph’s presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A celebration of Joseph’s life will be held Saturday August 2nd 2025 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church - 801 W Market St, Bloomington, IL 61701 at 11AM. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and love.

I Remember When I First Met You! You Had These Big Ole Eyes That Just Made Me Smile. I Was Only 7yrs Old When I First Came To Visit Bloomington. I Thought About You All The Time. I Never Knew I Would Move To Bloomington; When I Did We Were Locked In. Your Wit, Your Ability To Make Any Burden Seem Light. Your Strength To Forgive The Way You Do. Rather We Were Checking On Each-other On The Phone Or On The Pull Up. I Always Looked Forward To Our Next Connect! I Know You Loved Me Cousin I Guess Thats Why It Hurt So Bad. I Know How Much I Love You I Guess That’s What Makes Me So Sad! “Naw For Real Though Cuz All Jokes Aside” In Your Voice. I Know You’re Not Here Physically, I Just Keep Looking Down My Shirt and A Little To The Left Because In My Heart You’ll Always Be❣️🙏🏾❤️‍🩹🫂
