Obituary
With deep sadness we announce the death of John Kirby Meagher on June 9, 2018, in Arlington, VA;
John was born on August 29, 1941, in Syracuse, New York as the only son of Marion and Leo Meagher. He enjoyed a storied career as a prominent Washington tax expert, lobbyist and former Congressional staffer who spent decades working on tax and trade policy on Capitol Hill.
Meagher was heavily integrated into the Washington Political landscape through a long career spanning Congressional committees, presidential administrative and private sector lobbying. His retirement years were spent caring for his ailing second wife, Geraldine, who passed just two months after John on September 23, 2018.
