We would love to make a book of the funny stories that Jo would have told Scarlett as she got older.

Please share your memories and favourite stories of Joanne.

I have many memories of my time knowing Jo. Having first met her in Jan 2017.
Yet the best memory will be that I got to call her my friend. If she was your friend then you were lucky.

Saying our final goodbyes on Friday was emotional and as a group of friends we supported each other. I was so proud of Sarah and Louise as they read a poem and Scarlett and her Aunties Z & V read their poem together so beautifully.
It was amazing to see so many people who cared about Jo fill the room with colour and our thoughts were with our paeds team who came together to watch the service at the chapel at DDH.

Jo, thank you for sending us so many rainbows 🌈 throughout the day, letting us know you were with us.

You will always be my ice queen. That title earned due to your sharp tongue 🥰

Thank you for letting me be a small part of your life. I wish I could have done some things differently and I will have to live with that but I loved you the best way I knew how.

Goodnight and until we meet again someday, somewhere.

My favorite time was working on nights with Jo at dewsbury. When we had quiet times we played cards and taught each other new games. Even when I worked at a different hospital we would still call each other on night to keep each other going. Watching Jo become a mum was amazing she took to it like duck out water. I enjoyed spending time with Jo and Scarlett are favorite places was the pie shed. I once made her walk from mine to pie shed which was a 3 mile walk. I told Jo it would take 15 min 75 min later with Jo pushing pram, kids and dogs we made it all red faced.
Thank you for the laughs and the good times xx

My favourite memories are of Regan and Scarlett enjoying a carpet picnics and playing together. While we had a brew and a catch up, putting the world to rights.

Scarlett is a credit to you, she's all she is because of you.

Jo took me on my first-ever roller coaster at Alton Towers when I was just 12. Throughout the whole trip, she was so kind, caring, and full of fun. Her warmth and humor left a lasting impression on me. I’ve struggled with many fears in life, but thanks to her, roller coasters and thrill rides were never one of them. Even now, every time I go on one, I can’t help but think of her.

My oldest memories will always be my favourites. When I would get home from work to find Joanne in my flat cooking up my favourite super noodles. This led to our matching ‘super noodles tattoos’ many years later.
Moving my flat around and dropping my brothers new flat screen tv.
Joanne was the first person I told any of my big life events too. From finding out I was pregnant (to which she repaid the favour, but that’s a secret 🤫) Joanne was the reason I met the father of my kids, but that’s a long story for another day. Being the first person to hold Frazer in the hospital and it breaks my heart that I will never be able to tell her of another first..jo was going to be my maid of honour (undisputed) if I was ever going to get married. I have so many memories to share and I will be forever thankful for every single one of them.

I have loads of memories with Joanne sadly none recently.

Joanne was my first friend when I moved to Kendal. We used to skip last lesson at school on a Wednesday and go to my house to play on the Nintendo.

We would often walk to joannes nans on days when her nan was away.. we would stay up late listening to Mariah Carey and JoJo and play board games.

Sadly my last memory with Joanne was when her and Scarlett came to visit Jaxon just after he was born.. we all sat and watched frozen.. Joanne promised to bring Scarlett back when Jaxon was older so they could make slime or play dough (can't remember which). Breaks my heart that this was the last time I ever saw her 💔

Service

Join us as we celebrate the life of our beautiful daughter, sister, and mummy, Jo.

Her service will take place on 11am at Beetham Hall Crematorium. All are welcome, including Children.

Joanne wanted this to be a celebration of her life, and she requested that everyone wear rainbows or bright, colourful clothing. We hope to create a rainbow in her honour—both as a symbol of her pride and to shine brightly for her daughter, Scarlett.

Following the service, we would love for you all (including small folk) to join us at Carus Green, Kendal, for refreshments (sandwiches and buffet), and to play a game of pool in memory of Jo. It will be a chance to share stories, memories, and moments that made Joanne so special to us all.

To help us plan for food, please RSVP if you’re attending at Carus Green.

If you would like to make a charitable donation in Jo's memory, you can do so for the benefit of Derian House Children's Hospice, The British Liver Trust, and Galop at the link below,
