Obituary
Joanne (Thompson) Bauer of Vernon Hills, IL passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2026 after a four year battle with cancer. Joanne grew up in Buffalo Grove and attended St. Mary Grade School, Carmel High School and Barat College. Joanne is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Mary Lou Thompson. She is survived by her siblings and their families: Carrie Thompson Tepper (Marc) and their children Samantha (Sean) and Daniel; Kathleen Thompson; Michael Thompson (Kelly) and their children, Patrick (Kristin), Kevin, Annie (Adam); and Joyce Thompson Haqq (David) and their children, Ethan and Benjamin. An informal memorial gathering will be held on July 10 from 4 - 8 PM. Please contact one of Joanne’s siblings for more information.
