Joan was a dear friend back in the 50's as teen agers. She was a bridesmaid in my wedding. My memories of Joan are happy times and a wonderful person. It was a pleasure to know her and I send my love to her family .

Joan is my step-grandmother. I still feel and celebrate her loving presence and influence. Joan gained a mastery in her life as a mother and caregiver while honing and modeling true, authentic, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. Namasté to you, dear Joan- thank you. I love you.

William, Andrew and the entire Pease family - my heart is with you. I always looked forward to seeing Joan - she had a warmth and kindness that radiated and made you feel welcome. She embraced me and David at many Pease family holidays. They were special times and she welcomed us with open arms. Your Mother was easy to talk to and fun to be around. She had so much love for both of you and was so proud of you. I know her intelligence, determination and kindness lives on in both of you. Sending love!

Joan and I met in Bend Study Club in 1990. We became close friends when we were both building houses by the same builder in the same neighborhood. We shared lunches every week and talked about way more than the houses under construction. I miss Joan now, very much.

I'm sorry I will not be at Joan's memorial. My husband Norwyn and I now spend winters in Palm Desert, CA, and on March 8th we will be on a plane bound for Hawaii. While in Joan's beloved Hawaii, I will say a prayer for Joan and send some flowers out to sea in her memory.

Aloha Joan

Joan was a VERY dear friend. We shared PEO meetings and Bend Study Club. Most importantly we shared being married to surgeons in the same clinic. She was a dear and loyal friend. We shared her cabin at Elk Lake. I was honored to be asked to be Godmother to her sons Andrew and Will.

I will always remember the kind and compassionate words that Joan said to me over the years in her cards and most of all, I will miss the many times of sitting together by the lake chatting away about life's ups and downs. Joan had a special way of connecting to others and was able to offer words of understanding. Her support and calming presence that gave me hope will always be there in my heart.

So sad to hear of my dear friend Joan’s passing. She was such a beautiful lady both inside and out. I will treasure our friendship and all our special time together at napili Kai beach resort in Maui together with her wonderful husband Chuck Barnham who she adored till the end. So happy I got to see her last winter in Maui and spend some last time and say aloha. A hui hou and aloha dear Joan? May her memories be a blessing to all who knew and loved her. I will treasure our friendship always and was honoured to know and love her.
