Jase the Ace,
What a wonderful, fun and positive human you are. So many of my best memories have you in them. School holidays at Nana's, Christmases at Omaha and camping with the possums at our place. Your smile has always been so bright even when you were little and just had two giant PK shaped teeth and a reverse mullet. I loved your scrappy competitive spirit and that fearless attitude that your tackled life with. I will miss your laugh and your smile, but mostly your kindness- always asking after other and truly caring. always in my heart, love you xoxox

Jase ace!
So many good memories with you, from when we met in 2nd year re-o week, to flatting together on Dundas St and Haddon place and being groomsmen at Garner and Hazzy’s weddings. Also the very short time I lived with you in Jman’s Northland flat in Welly haha (I think it was a month). I’ll always cherish all of the great times we had together and the way you made every night out or activity we were doing so much more fun with your enthusiasm and positivity. Love you brother, grateful to have met you and for all the good times.

Jase, you’re a true legend.
I have so many fond memories of the times we spent together, and I can still picture your smile—always bright, always ready for a laugh. Our trip to Canada, skiing powder, is something I’ll never forget, even though I know I let you down when I downloaded on the chairlift. From our adventures in London to that trip to Croatia, where you didn’t mind crashing on the floor, every moment with you was full of fun and great memories.
Your laid-back, easygoing attitude is something I always admired, and the way you approached life taught me a lot—lessons I’ll carry with me.
Sending all my love to Emma and your family during this time. You’ll be missed, but never forgotten

Jase you were an absolute legend! So happy, energetic, positive and ridiculously nice. Living with you for that year in London we had so much fun, even though it sometimes felt like we were annoying siblings (haha!). I will never forget the fun trips we had, how much of a sweet tooth you were, you licking the plate or coming home to watching cooking shows on the TV and you then recreating the delicious meals. You left us well before your time and you will be sorely missed. Thanks for everything. Love you and so much love to Emma and Jase’s whanau

Dearest Jason, we met on the very first day of university, you were standing in the hallway to your bedroom in Unicol, backwards hat on, big smile on your face ready to meet people & enjoy Dunedin’s festivities. Over the next 14 years, we shared a room together, travelled Canada, USA, Indonesia and ended up back living together in London (although you had found a much preferable roomie with Emma).
During this time you became the brother I always wanted, the person I wanted to share the good, the bad, the challenging news with and of course, the best pork you can find anywhere on the planet.
Life and activities simply were better when you’re involved.
Love you lots and looking forward to making further memories with Emma, Sean and the Husbands.

Jase, you were by far one of the most positive, energetic, kind-hearted and all-round greatest people. You were like a brother to me in our Dalston days, I will always cherish our matched obsession with everything food-related like watching YouTube videos on how to get the perfect crackle on a pork belly, what new dish was on the flat dinner menu, licking the bowl, or slurping your many cups of tea. You have left a massive impact on so many people and will forever be missed. Sending all my love to Emma and Jase’s whānau 🤍

Jase, I realise that with your passing I have inherited the roll of pesky younger sibling to Sean which I will take very seriously, no need to worry about that! Your celebration on Monday was unforgettable and inspirational. You’ll be in our hearts forever

I haven't been in contact with Jason for so long. Now he seems to be know as Jase as he has grown.
He still has that huge amazing smile I remember from when we were kids. I can hear the laugh even now. He was one of my first friends from our play center days. Playing in almost every rugby team from age 5 until 1st 15 at high school. A true leader and nature sports talent.

Jase, what an absolutely amazing guy!
I will always remember him constantly nipping at Sean and my heels trying to climb up the cousin rugby/cricket hierarchy! To be honest we were lucky we had a few years on him, because even back then he was a weapon. Summer holidays wouldn’t have been the same without you mate.
Love you Jase, taken way too soon.
Your celebration tomorrow is going to be amazing, beautiful a fitting send off for a legend.
I can tell from all the outpouring of love that you have brightened up so many people’s lives, as you made your way through your own amazing time on earth. I’m super proud to be your cousin.
Lots of love from me, Mel, Harvey and Riley ❤️

I was lucky to go to school with Jase and play touch rugby together for many years at Mahurangi College. Those days playing touch are some of my most cherished memories and I’ll never forget Jase’s wicked side step which helped us win many games. He was an all round epic human with a huge smile and spark for life. Taken way too early. Sending all my love and thoughts to Jase’s family xx

Our mate Jase,
We fondly remember our time in Whistler with you as one of the most fun and transformative times in our lives. We loved trekking around the mountain with you on a never ending quest for a fresh line, a new jump, or trying out a new trick (and when landing a jump, hearing your sage advice that “sometimes it's better to be lucky than good”). Your enthusiasm for snowboarding and the mountains reflected your enthusiasm for life. We feel privileged to have shared that part of your life with you, and to have continued our adventures in the UK and beyond. Our season together was a truly special time that we will never forget. You will be sorely missed.
Love,
Laura and Will

Countless games of touch, thanks for trying to teach this battler front rower the skudz wack (still a work on). It was a honour to have you as a groomsman at my big dance. Thank you for all the good times and laughs along the way. So much love for you Jase & Emma & your Whanau. Until we meet again, haere ra brother

I met Jase on my first day of university placement, he looked familiar but I couldnt quite work out why. Eventually we worked out I was a student at Howick College when he taught P.E. Through my time working with Jase, he was always a friendly face in the office, someone who gave his time to help others and lit up every room he entered. Such a heartbreaking loss, you will be so missed. Rest easy Jase 💕

Jason, You truely were one of a kind. From your love for food and cooking to your thirst for adventure and sports. You were never short of talent! What a pleasure it was to have shared some special memories with you, particularly in London. Running the canal, tea and cake in Rugby, pizza nights in Dalston, and exchanging teaching stories from our “energetic” East London schools. You were wonderful, kind and funny and always saw the positive in everything. What a treasure you were! Loads of Aroha to Emma and your lovely family. X

My sincere condolences and love to Jase’s wife, parents, siblings and all of his extended whānau. I am so very sorry to hear this news. I met Jase in winter 2017 in Whistler very randomly but hilariously on the set of a Hallmark Christmas movie called “A Winter of Love” we were both pretty broke and saw a call out for the film needing extras. It was two long days filming standing around doing nothing but talking amongst the other extras and I was lucky to be next to him. Some great laughs and chats were had those few days. I have such great memories of that winter and will treasure the few but great memories with Jase whether that was on the set of a super cheesy Christmas movie or on the mountain! He had such a positive energy and huge beaming smile which won’t ever be forgotten. X

The world has lost a remarkable young man. Jason you would light up the room with your beaming smile and vibrant personality. We have very fond memories of you as a youngster staying weekends at our place and you and David battling it out on the cricket pitch for World Cup clashes! And not to mention the rugby matches. To Emma, Janice and Bill, Sean and Anne and Maddy and Jonte, and the rest of the family our hearts are breaking for you all. It was a pleasure and a privilege to be your second Mum. It was so lovely to be able to catch up with you a few times in the past months. Rest in peace Jason, you will be so sadly missed. Love Jenny and Peter
