Forever in our thoughts, always in our hearts.
Obituary
Janet Stoddart very sadly and unexpectedly passed away on the 17th September 2025, at the age of 54. Born on May 28, 1971, Janet lived a life full of love, warmth and pure determination.
Those that knew Janet, would know that she was a force to be reckoned with. Janet was known for her very fiery spirit and equally compassionate heart. She somehow seamlessly blended her roles as a loving Wife, Mam, Nanny, Daughter, Sister and dedicated business owner as she passionately built, managed and grew her own property business - PIIM, whilst also caring for her Mam.
Janet had her own special way of lighting up a room, bringing her infectious laugh, energy, brightness and positivity with her, making a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she loved and inspired, she will be truly missed.
Funeral details have now been updated and are below - all welcome.
As we remember Janet, let us celebrate the remarkable life she led and the profound impact she made on everyone around her.
Please feel free to add photos and share memories of Janet for us to enjoy and remember for many years to come.
Thank you

First met janet while I was in hospital after having sepsis after a open gall bladder removal we became friends after this and helped me to find a home if it wasn't for her me and my family would of been homeless she truly was so caring and a lovely person inside and out
We first met Janet and Illya when I started work with Sun Microsystems at Consett in 1999 and later we worked together in Bracknell when the office was moved south. Having an evening meal or Sunday Lunch at their place was a delight both for the food and the company.
After their move back to Consett I was very happy to carry people and packages between their new home in Consett and their extended families’ home in Bracknell as I continued to work in the South. Janet was totally committed to her family despite the distance between the two locations.
Watching Janet build her Property Management Business was very impressive. Janet developed her professional qualifications in tandem with practical experience to offer a well-rounded service that attracted more and more business and financial success.
Janet sat on our sofa with her mother in the week before she went into hospital, talking and laughing with Brenda and myself. And this is how we will remember her, looking after Mary, talking with friends and being a very nice person.
Both Brenda and I were very upset when we heard the terrible news, our sincere condolences to Janet’s family and friends.

Photo, buisness lunch yes another with mum.
From the whole team of us i can defiantly say we send our deepest condolences. We are here for you and thinking of you and your family". That's just not work but knowing her as a close friend. What will her mum do....
Only just had lunch and exchanged keys Saturday 2 days before her opp with my wife who also met several times. Just cannot believe your loss even your parrot will miss her talking. I am going miss her and her phone calls up to 9pm talking shite and joining the speedy club ;-) Pass on details I would like to attend but understand if just family.
Known since starting off in Jan's buisness venture.
Stu and family x

I am going to miss the phone call starting with “are you busy “ “ have you got time “? I always found the time and was never a problem. Sometimes the jobs were a challenging and we often laughed about.
We got to know about each other’s lives over this time and how she loves her family and love spending time with them.
Rest in Peace Jan xx

Janet was always chatty and smiling I only spoke to her last week I’m so shocked. Sending heart felt condolences to all the family x
I was so shocked to hear the news today.
My thoughts a wished go out to her family

I know Janet in my teens always laughing and had a big bubbly personality.
She be a big miss my condolences to her family .
I had only been in the RAF a few months when Charlotte, their first child, was born. I remember so clearly visiting Janet in hospital and seeing the pure happiness and love on her face. The same joy was there again when Craig came along too. She was such a devoted mum and a loving wife to Illya.
After her days at school, Janet worked so hard to build a career, achieving excellent roles in tech companies and, more recently, in the housing sector. But no matter how busy life became, she always made time for people.
I’m really going to miss her. When we were kids, we wished we were older. Now, I just wish we could go back to being kids again.
