Jan was such a wonderful woman. No one like her, kind, talented ,wise, generous, thoughtful, and brave, we are missing her so much
Her cakes were legendary, the last one to Olivia. It was amazing, and her miniatures had so much detail and humour. Christmas was so big for her, and magical having all the family together, her presents were so thoughtful and so beautiful wrapped it made you feel so special. and she liked Cliff Richards . We shared the happy times and the sad times we were so lucky to have her in our lives her advice was always the best. The best friend ever. ❤️

So many happy memories come flooding into my mind as I remember Jan and the very kind and supportive sister-in-law she was to me through the years.
Jan will be so sadly missed because she truly was a rock to me in so many ways. Nothing was ever too much trouble whenever I asked for her help.
Someone very special has gone from my life but I thank God that Jan came into our family and that Richard, Vanessa and Caroline remain so much a part of my life.

Auntie Jan was an absolute 'constant' in the family - she never forgot a birthday or anniversary. Her love, kindness and support was complete - she was always there when needed and willing to help in anyway. I will always remember how after losing our Dad, Jan and Richard invited us all to stay with them at Mehalah each Christmas for a good number of years. Her and Richard's hosting was legendary, family events at Mehalah - particularly Boxing Day with all the games and laughter - were always so very special. My lasting memory of Auntie Jan is someone who brought all the family together and was always in the middle of the celebrations and fun.
Special love to Grumbo, Vanessa, Caroline, Nicola, Michelle and all the family.

I have the most wonderful memories of fun filled family get togethers at Janet & Richard’s beautiful house when I was growing up. One particular time I had bought some plastic ants (Don’t ask!) I asked Janet if I could put some out on the table with all the food as a prank. I was so happy when she agreed & went along with the joke! We counted a handful out & placed them throughout the buffet on the table. I couldn’t wait for peoples reactions! As everyone came in & helped themselves to food, I remember hearing Auntie Glad exclaim there were ants on the table! We all had a laugh & I think most people were relieved they weren’t real ants! When we counted the ants up, we were 1 short! To this day I wonder what happened to that ant…Did it fall on the floor, get thrown away or did it end up getting eaten by mistake! Either way, it made for a very funny story & I was so happy that Janet kindly went along with the joke! I will remember Janet for her gorgeous smile & being so kind & caring. She will be greatly missed, but she will forever be with us in our hearts & our memories.xvx

I have some truly lovely memories of Jan over the years. From being really little and learning all the Boxing Day games with everyone, to celebrating my 21st birthday in my parents garden and most recently dancing at Blaize’s wedding! I will always Jan as being so kind, happy, generous and full of life.

I will always remember the wonderful Boxing Days we were invited too, the food was amazing , I was in awe how Jan was so chilled entertaining so many people. The games were such fun and the basis of many of our family Christmas games, we still play ‘Stagalin’, ‘let it pass’ , and so many more. Jan was such a wonderful, special person sending you all lots of love xx

I will always remember my great aunt Jan as generous and truly lovely individual. I feel so privileged to have danced with her at Blaize’s wedding last year - a joyful memory that shows her spirit so well. Her kindness and warmth will always stay with me.

We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Janet. We had the good fortune to run into each other many times over the years and my lasting memory is that of a kind, smiling, generous lady that bakes a mean cake! She will be very much missed and a huge loss to her husband and family.

We were saddened to learn of the passing of our dear friend Janet.
Janet will however be forever in our memory for her cheerfulness and love and devotion to Richard and their family.
Unfortunately for personal reasons we will be unable to attend her funeral but our thoughts on that day will be uppermost in our mind for Richard and his family.
God bless Janet
