It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James O'Reilly, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. James peacefully entered eternal rest surrounded by the love and warmth of his family on 14 December 2023 in Oshawa, ON, at the age of 78.

Born on 11 July 1945, James embraced life with a fierce determination and an unwavering spirit. He was a pillar of strength for his family and an inspiration to all who knew him. James's legacy will forever be cherished and his absence deeply felt by those left behind.

James, married to Therese, creating a bond that transcended time. Their journey together was marked by unwavering love and unwavering support, truly exemplifying the power of a resilient partnership. Together, they navigated life's challenges and celebrated its joys, creating a profound sense of belonging within their family.

James, a loving father, tender and kind, what a beautiful memory you left behind. Love you dad, your children, Brian, Laura (Blair), Shane, Tyler (Denise), and Kevin (Larissa). He cherished the role of a father and instilled in his children the importance of loyalty, hard work, and compassion.

As a grandfather, James not only shared wisdom and encouragement but was an inspiration to us. Your loving grandchildren, Alex (Tyler), Andrew, Chloe (Sam), and Kristen (Nick), will forever remember him as a pillar of love and wisdom. His presence in their lives created countless cherished memories and taught them the power of unwavering love.

James will be remembered for his charismatic personality, and his ability to light up a room with his infectious smile. He possessed a true zest for life and found solace in the simple pleasures that brought him closer to his family and friends. James's warmth touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will forever be etched in their minds.

Jim was a very special man & though we only knew him for a short time , we feel lucky to have met him & call him a friend.
