A life that touched so many hearts will be forever remembered.
Obituary
Our beloved James aka Jimmy passed away on Saturday 7th February 2026.
Jimmy was the life and soul of Lynbrook, and everyone felt his amazing presence. He was the daftest, most lovable and comical Man.
Jimmy loved to wind people up with his squeaky toys and by constantly asking for bottles of pop, and made everyone laugh even at things that shouldn't quite be laughed at.
Jimmy also bought joy to everyone through his kind personality - always being affectionate through hugs, holding our hand and linking our arm. He had an infectious smile as well as a cheeky laugh.
Jimmy developed fantastic relationships with his Support Workers and his face lit up with happiness when he saw them come on shift.
Jimmy had an amazing life, supported by his brilliant Support Workers. He had 2 successful holidays in September and December of 2025 to the Yorkshire Dale's and the Lake District, which he loved.
And he enjoyed carrying out various activities alongside his Support Workers.
Jimmy also loved frequent visits from his Mum and Dad, and enjoyed having a walk to the shop for a bottle of pop with them both during their visits. He enjoyed looking at photos of his Parents, as well as a photo of himself and his younger brother Adam.
Jimmy the Legend will be truly missed by everyone ❤️
Timeline
James enjoyed a visit to Hardraw Force waterfall and to the Wednesleydale Creamery where he tried different cheeses and saw Wallace and Gromit
James enjoyed the Farmers Market in Kendal as well as a visit to Grasmere where he bought some treats from the Gingerbread shop

This world isn’t the same without you, you brought us so much joy, happiness and laughter over the years, it was an absolute pleasure and honour to work with you the last couple years, there will never be another Jimmy like you, we all miss you so so much and forever in our hearts!
You are a legend. You always made us smile and laugh, and had such a kind and loveable personality. And you kept us all on our toes with your mischievous and daft antics!
Remember when we took you to school for a few years? You weren't a fan were you (not that we could blame you)! On the odd day here and there it took some persuasion to either get you inside to your classroom, or for you to complete your school work once inside.
Although you did enjoy the cooking lifeskills you did at School. Walking to the Spar nearby to buy ingredients, which you used to made something once back and ate as a snack.
I remember one time me and Helen Anderton took you to the gym which was part of your school programme once a week. We had to use chocolate bourbon biscuits as encouragement to get you to use the equipment, as you weren't a fan of going.
I loved joining you on 2 fantastic holidays, and it was great to see you enjoy them and it was a pleasure to of done them with you.
It was also great taking you out and about enjoying lots of other different activities (especially when you bought squeaky toys to wind us up with).
I will miss you and your infectious smile so, so much xx
