With deep sadness, we announce the passing of James Moore, who was born on May 7, 1954 and passed away in Norfolk, VA
James Moore was born May 7, 1954, in Georgia. He spent much of his life between Georgia and Virginia, where he built a life centered around family, hard work, and the simple joys that meant the most to him.James proudly served his country in the United States Navy. After his service, he became a certified pest control professional and worked faithfully in his trade for many years.
James loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He was often known for catching the first fish when being out
on the water. He also loved spending time with his dogs, Shirley, Tater, Betty Boop, Luna, and Lucy, watching westerns, listening to country music. One of his favorite things to do was to get a cup of coffee and watch the sun rise.
James is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Moore, his three children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews who will always cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his mother Lucy Nell, father, Joel Buford, and his sister and brother.
James will be remembered for his love of family, his appreciation for the outdoors, and the peaceful joy he found in life's simple moments.
The passing of James leaves a space that cannot be filled. Yet the memories, lessons, and moments shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know James. James will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
