“Dad, though your hands no longer hold ours, your love still wraps around our hearts. In every quiet moment, we feel you near—gentle as your laughter, steady as your wisdom, eternal as the love you gave so freely. You may have journeyed ahead, but you’ll always walk beside us.”
Obituary
In Loving Memory of James E. McLaughlin October 24, 1943 – September 28, 2025
James E. McLaughlin, born in Price, Utah, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, surrounded by love. He was 81 years old.
Jim was a devoted father to four children—Steven, Marc, Michael, and Michelle—whose lives were shaped by his unwavering love, wisdom, and humor. He was a cherished brother to Ken McLaughlin, and a proud grandfather to many, each of whom carries a piece of his spirit forward.
To know Jim was to know compassion. He was a good friend, a playful soul, and a man whose intelligence was matched only by his generosity. His sarcasm was legendary, his laughter contagious, and his heart always open to those in need. Whether offering help, sharing a joke, or simply showing up, Jim gave of himself endlessly.
He was a family man through and through—present, dependable, and deeply loved. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the lessons he taught, and the memories that will never fade.
Jim, you will be missed in ways words will never properly convey. Go to your resting spot and enjoy your eternity, our loving father. Your name and spirit live on in those who carry your love, your wit, and your strength.
Forever in our hearts.

Dad, You were there for my whole life—steadfast, loving, and always present. From my first steps to fatherhood, you stood by me with unwavering support and pride. You gave from the heart, never asking for anything in return, and your generosity touched everyone lucky enough to know you.
Your smile was intoxicating—bright, warm, and unforgettable. And your sarcasm? Legendary. You had a way of making people laugh even in the darkest moments, reminding us that humor is its own kind of strength.
You never hesitated to help anyone in need. Whether it was a friend, a stranger, or family, you found a way to lift others up. And even in the end, when the road grew heavy, you never gave up. That resilience was your gift to all of us.
You watched me grow—from a baby to a man to a father—and you supported me every step of the way. No matter the hour, you always picked up the phone. That kind of love doesn’t fade. It stays. It echoes.
You will be missed more than words can say. You will always be in my heart. You will be remembered by all who loved you—and there are so many.
Thank you for being you. Thank you for being my dad.
Love always, Marc
