Ishan Naeem

I knew Ishan for just under a year, but he genuinely left a lasting impression. He was one of the best people I’ve met online — kind-hearted, grounded and always willing to help. Whether it was career advice or just being there to talk, he had your best interests at heart every time. He gave thoughtful guidance to so many people and helped shape countless futures, expecting nothing in return. The impact he had in such a short time says everything about the kind of person he was — selfless, moral and truly one of a kind.

Rest in peace, brother. You’ll be deeply missed.

He brought joy in every smile, wonder in every question, and love in every hug. Even in his shortest days, he filled our world with magic. he laughed loudly, loved freely, and saw the world with a heart that knew no limits. Though his time with us was far too brief, the light he brought remains.

I don't know where to begin. He was a very caring and selfless person, always thinking about others in his actions and changing the lives of so many, including mine.

I could never explain my love for him but what I can say is that he helped me through my lowest. He was there when I had a bad mood and always encouraged me to do my best even when I didn't want to. He has taught me so much, the best YouTubers, the best games, best revision techniques and that there is so much more to life than I could've ever thought. From now, I hope to make him proud.

He will always be my role model, my brother, my best friend, and I hope he forever stays in all our hearts. I'll always be so proud of him and I am truly so lucky to have had him in my life.

I hope he rests peacefully in Jannah and Allah grants him with great happiness.

I would like to pass on my deepest condolences to family and friends of the loss of Ishan. I remember 29th May that was first time meet up with Ishan over MS teams and I never imagined that would have last conversation, thats few minutes conversation remind me how passionate he was in the learning and how confidently he was talking and I felt like he was more than 8 year experience.

Ishan was part of my team and I had the opportunity to work closely with him since his initial days here in HSBC. It is extremely difficult for our team and me personally, to accept this tragic and heartbreaking news. Taking a moment to remember him.

Everyone here in HSBC who knew Ishan will know about his incredible dedication and contributions since past 1.5 years. From joining HSBC as a University Student to a matured professional, he has certainly made his journey very successful and impactful. He has played a vital role in delivering multiple key initiatives for us. He has also received kudos and praises from wide range of people recognizing his talent, support and work ethics.

Ishan was unique - he settled into the team so quickly and would share information he had with confidence. He would share ideas on a breadth of topics and I was always impressed by his enthusiasm and energy. He was keen to get into full time working, and I know the sky was the limit for him with his abilities and dedication. He had such a strong work ethic - he would tell me he firmly believed that working hard would always pay off, but was always so human when he stopped to chat.
