Scrolling through our messages and seeing every birthday message, every prayer, and every thoughtful check-in from her, even from just a couple of months ago, depicts the many beautiful words people have used to describe her, and it truly reflects who she was to so many of us.
I’ll deeply miss you aunty Kumbi ❤️❤️

Adieu - Our Indefatigable ZFC Chairman!

Beautiful inside and out with a smile that radiated calm and pure and utter contentment.
Hmmm! This wasn’t the
discussion we had o! We were so looking forward to clocking 65 and the subsequent plans to follow. You made it by the skin of your nose but the
plans were swallowed up by death. I weep! I grieve for unfulfilled plans. I have told myself over and over again that I will not grieve as one without hope.
For over a week prior, my eye would twitch uncontrollably and I knew that possible bad news
was round the corner. So, all I could do was pray.
Pray against premature death not knowing who might be death’s next
victim. Then I had the
dream and still couldn’t
pinpoint who it was. Aah!
The pain of discovering
that it was you. Could I
not have prayed more to
avert this fate?
It’s no point praying for
you now. My prayer is for
myself and those you
have left behind - that we
shall meet when the time
comes on the right side of
eternity. It is well with our
souls in Jesus name.
Amen. Rest well in the
bosom of the Almighty
Father and Sovereign
King.
Kuumbs, you have done your part, fought the good fight of faith, run your race and finished your time here in the journey of life.
Love you loads,
Your friend and sister

We, Dimeji Aluko Consulting, wish to express our sincere condolences on the transition of our beloved Mother, Wife, Sister and Minister of Gospel, Hon. Justice (Dcns) Josephine Efunkumbi Oyefeso (Nee Sho-Silva). Her shocking demise at this time is a significant loss to the family, the community, the Body of Christ, the Judiciary and the entire Nation.
The news of her passing is shocking and still very difficult to comprehend. An excellent Judex of unwavering integrity and a dependable Christian she was.
While we deeply commiserate with the entire family at this trying period, pray that the Almighty, who understands every situation, grants the family the fortitude to bear her departure.
Once again, please accept our condolences.

Sun Re, my Sister.
My Lord Kumbi & I come a very long way. From Army Children’s School , our primary school ( though it was her younger brother, Deinde & I that were classmates) to the High Court of Lagos State appointed as Millenium Judges on the 24th day of May 2001. Our families also know each other quite well.
She has always been a relatively quiet person but always a hardworking and efficacious jurist who served the Lagos State Judiciary to the very best of her ability.
She was also very effective in the various judicial Committees on which we served together and bring techy, all digital output was a no brainer for her.
The news of her passing on Friday 15th May 2026 came as a rude shock even though I knew she had been ill but the hope was that she was recovering well but with time and the good grace of God, the healing would be complete.
But we must thank the good Lord for her life and for her lovely children Tish, Tito and Tami.
On behalf of my family & I, we offer them our sincerest condolences along with our dear brother My Lord’s Lord , Mr Wole Oyefeso at this trying time. It is our prayer to the AlmightyGod that HE will comfort you all with the Balm of Gilead & rest her soul eternally in PERFECT PEACE IN HIS BOSOM. Amen.
Hon Justice Adenike Josephine COKER ( Mrs)

My heart broke in a way I cannot put into words. I lost not just a sister but a rare and beautiful soul who meant so much to me.
You were my confidant, my rock, my friend, my small mummy. You had a way of listening so deeply, so patiently, and somehow you always knew what to say. No matter how heavy my worries were, I could bring them to you, and you would help me carry them with love, wisdom, and strength.
You were a safe place for me, a source of comfort, guidance, and reassurance. Your presence made life feel lighter, and your kindness made everything feel possible.
I will miss our conversation, your laughter, your advice, and the warmth you brought into my life.I will miss knowing that you were always there.
I would miss the name you fondly call me, Aronky show, who will call me Aronky show, at the beginning of every WhatsApp message, it was Aronky show.......
Though you are no longer here with us, the love you gave, the lives you touched, and the memories we shared will never fade. You will always remain in my heart.
Rest peacefully, my darling sis. Thank you for being my strength, my support, and my family in the truest sense.
You will forever be loved and never forgotten.

It is still difficult to fully accept that Pastor Kumbi is no longer physically with us. Some people pass through life quietly, while others leave deep footprints on hearts, lives, and destinies. Pastor Kumbi was one of those rare people whose presence brought warmth, peace, encouragement, and strength to so many.
To me, she was not just a pastor or a sister in Christ — she was a woman of grace, kindness, wisdom, and deep faith. She had a gentle but powerful way of drawing people closer to God through her words, her prayers, her encouragement, and simply through the way she lived her life.
One thing that continues to stay with me was the message she sent after receiving my book on the 3rd of March. Her words were:
“Compelling reading and a blessing to me at this time. I will also write and share my testimony when the time comes.”
Those words now carry such deep meaning in my heart. Even in her own season, she still took time to encourage and uplift others. That was who she was — thoughtful, faith-filled, gracious, and always speaking life.
Pastor Kumbi lived a life that pointed people to Christ. She blessed countless lives quietly and sincerely. Her love for God was evident, and her compassion for people was genuine. She carried herself with dignity, humility, and grace.
Though our hearts grieve, we thank God for the gift of her life and the legacy she leaves behind; a legacy of faith, prayer, love, encouragement, and service.
To Yomi, Kunle, the Oyefeso siblings, and the entire Sho Silva family, my prayers remain with you all. May God continue to strengthen and comfort you during this difficult season. May the beautiful memories of Pastor Kumbi continue to shine brightly in your hearts.
Pastor Kumbi, thank you for your love, your prayers, your encouragement, and your beautiful example of faith.
Your life was truly a blessing.
Your memory will remain precious.
And your legacy will continue to speak.
Rest peacefully in the presence of the Lord. We love you but God loves you more
