Hannah Langdon
Obituary
It is with enormous shock and sadness that we announce the sudden death of Hannah Langdon on Thursday 4th September from a ruptured brain aneurysm. Hannah had been with us at Unicorn for twenty years. She was our Head of Early Years and an integral part of the Senior Leadership team. Hannah was an inspirational teacher and her wisdom and experience, combined with a gentle sense of humour, made her an invaluable support to parents.
More importantly, Hannah was mum to Rose, wife to John, daughter to Lesley Anne and sister to Sarah.
Hannah was the very best of Unicorn; dedicated, child centred and kind. We will miss her more than words can say.

I will never forget Hannah sharing with red class a new word she’d learned herself: ‘murmuration’, as in a ‘murmuration of starlings’, the way the small birds fly in formation and make incredible shapes. It was lockdown and so I learned the word too that day, along with her class of four year olds, as I sat with Harri on my lap before the laptop screen and we all tried our best with doing things remotely. I’m not sure how many of the children would be able to retrieve that word now, but I like to think, and I do believe, it will be in their consciousness somewhere with the wonder and love of learning Hannah gifted to them. Thank you Hannah. I think of you every time I see starlings in the sky. It was an honour for Harri to have been taught by you, and an honour to have known you and to have been your friend.

We are so shocked and saddened by Hannah's passing. For us, Hannah epitomised the very special spirit of Unicorn. She was my daughter Jasmine's first teacher when she joined in Orange, and my son Jay's first teacher in Red, and they both remember her kindness, patience, sense of fun and encouragement and her endless reserves of support - as do we! Over the years Hannah was always there for a chat or word of encouragement or a laugh. She was endlessly warm and positive and such a bright light in school life. I know how very much her family meant to her, and seeing her with Rose at school was always such a joy. We will always remember her with love and gratitude. Our deepest condolences go to Hannah's family. Lisa, Krish, Jasmine & Jay xxx

We feel so lucky to have known Hannah. She was kind, generous and the most wonderful teacher. When Leo started school, we had no idea what an impact she would have on him and on us as a family. She was a huge part in why Leo absolutely loves going to school.
Our house has been full of Red Class songs for the past year, especially “A Big Red Bus”, which even our two-year-old starts singing whenever she spots a bus.
We’ll always remember the day Leo insisted on bringing in his 'marble-patterned' balloon. Hannah didn’t just smile and move on, she turned it into a whole morning of marbling experiments. It was such a perfect example of how she followed the children’s lead and made everything fun and meaningful.
With all of Leo’s allergies, Hannah was incredible. She thought about everything, always keeping him safe but never making him feel left out. She found ways to include him in everything, whether it was gluten-free vegan biscuits or cloud dough without allergens.
Hannah will always have a place in our hearts. We’ll never forget her kindness, creativity and the care she gave to Leo and all the children. We’re holding her family in our thoughts and sending love to them all.

This is what I said at Hannah's Memorial service. It was a very sad, but beautiful, occasion:
I hope I am able to do some justice to Hannah in my words here. She was simply the heart of Unicorn school and we are all bereft without her.
Hannah joined Unicorn 20 years ago. There are so many memories of her guitar playing, her Spanish speaking, her flamenco dress. She was enormous fun in the staffroom, I have been told stories of the obsessive watching of the X factor, and of her being the life and soul of staff nights out. She was renowned for her dressing up on our various Jubilee and special days, there are memories of her green eye shadow and her Dorothy inspired red sparkly shoes.
Miss Reynolds,as she was then, quickly became a mainstay of Orange class. So many of her former pupils have been in touch to say how special a teacher they found her. The words that have been said include– she showed us the magic, she inspired awe and curiosity, she fostered a love of learning. In the words of one parent, she made every child feel special, capable and confident. What more could a teacher seek to do.
After having Rose, Hannah moved to Red Class (our nursery) Hannah absolutely loved supporting parents and children in their transition to school and it has become clear how important her wise counsel and gentle sense of humour were in supporting so many of them. Hannah had that amazing ability to meet parents and children where they were, and walk with them to find solutions and ease worries, rather than making them feel as if they were failing in some way. For so many people, her wisdom and encouragement and utterly child centred approach really were life changing - It was a special quality that made her, as has been said by many, the best of Unicorn.
.
As her career developed Hannah became Head of Early Years, Head of Infants and a member of the Senior Leadership Team. She was organised and intelligent, had a deep interest in pedagogy and was so thoughtful and reflective in her analysis of issues or problems. So many individual staff at Unicorn have stories about Hannah, quietly and unobtrusively offering guidance and support when they needed it and celebrating their successes with them in such a genuine and meaningful way. She championed colleagues when they were doing further qualifications or had a change of job role understanding the confidence that that takes. In the words of one member of staff ‘ she made me feel good about myself’.
Throughout the school,Hannah was a glue that stuck us together. She was funny and she was honest - she was most definitely forthright in her opinions. During Covid when we were struggling to maintain that Unicorn sense of unity Hannah wrote the script for an entire pantomime which the staff performed in scenes within the ‘bubbles’. The finished video was loved by children and staff and made that Christmas special.
I had the honour of working closely with Hannah for the past few years in leadership together. I feel privileged to have had that time together and so very sad that she is no longer here. When this awful thing happened and I was trying to figure out what best to do for everyone in the community, all I could think was that I wished Hannah was there to help me. I really needed her.
There is nothing really that makes this better. Hannah has been taken from us too soon and there is no positive spin I can put on that. The only thing that I hope we can draw some solace from is that Hannah really did love her life. Getting married to John and having Rose were so important to Hannah and we love that Rose has been with us at Unicorn since Red Class. It was so special seeing Hannah going into ‘mum’ mode and being excited about Rose’s Celebration assembly appearances or shows.
Hannah loved her family and friends, she loved her work, and she loved her burgeoning career as a writer. She would say to people at school ‘ I am content’ – what an amazing thing to be able to say. She was an inspiration to us all.

Hannah was such a wonderful teacher to all three of our sons, Justin, Pasco and Theo. I particularly remember her helping Justin get over his fear of heights by encouraging him up the Treetop Walkway in Kew Gardens. A year later with Pasco in the class she was so kind and gentle in encouraging him to step out of his internal world and begin to engage with classes and learning his letters. She also build a lovely relationship with my mum who volunteered in Hannah's class for several years, during which time she experienced growing health problems. She loved being back in education having been a teacher herself. Hannah made her feel so welcome and respected at a time when she was losing capacity and self-belief. We will hold her in our hearts and send so much love to her family; she was taken from you far too soon.
Much love

Like many, we were devastated to hear the news. Miss Reynolds, Mrs Langdon - Hannah, touched so many lives, such a legacy to add to her many accomplishments.
After the fun and orientation of Red Class, my children Zach and Niamh's learning journey at Unicorn began in Orange Class with Hannah, who's warmth, care and diligence, ensured that good habits were established and subsequently maintained by others in the Unicorn teaching community. Always practical, calm and fun, we remember Hannah who always had time for us. So creative, finding clever ways to teach a subject that became tricky. I personally benefitted and valued her reassurance and guidance when mapping specific ideas to support my children’s development. When I Chaired the School Committee, she was equally honest, supportive and willing to help. We remember you with such gratitude and love.

We were all so shocked and saddened by this devastating news. It is impossible to think of Unicorn without Hannah's enthusiasm, energy, empathy and kindness - she was a wonderful teacher who helped make such very special memories for Unicorn children. Our thoughts are with her family, everyone she taught and with all her colleagues and many friends. Thank you Miss Reynolds/Mrs Langdon for everything you did. You will be greatly missed.

We are still saddened by Mrs Langdon’s passing. It is hard to comprehend how someone so full of life, music, laughter and kindness is no longer with us. Her songs, her gentle reassurance, and the way she had of welcoming children in the morning, but also of connecting with parents, will be missed more than words can say. Always keen to encourage, wonderfully talented at empathizing With little ones and grown ups alike.
Her presence touched us in ways that will stay with us forever. We still find ourselves humming her songs sometimes and we remember her cheerful and warm smiles at the door of Red Class.
We are so grateful for everything she gave to the children and to us as parents. We will also remember her for the warmth, empathy and joy she brought into the classroom and in our children’s lives.

I was absolutely devastated to hear about Miss Reynold's (as we knew her) premature death. What a wonderful and inspiring young teacher, not at all surprising given her amazing mother. Life can be cruel and unpredictable.
To Mrs Reynolds, her sister, the Unicorn community and most especially to her husband and daughter we, as a forever Unicorn family, extend our deepest and heartfelt sympathy.

Both my children thrived during their year in Hannah’s class. Those early years anchor your feeling of the world (and school) and she created an interesting, secure, nurturing space for my children to learn. She really saw and understood each child and had a natural warmth and empathy that my children really benefitted from. I will never forget the kindness and care she showed to my daughter Rose. When I think of Hannah, I think of her warm smile, kind heart and natural integrity; always considerate with good spirit and humour. I am so grateful to have shared time with Hannah in recent years; she wove a beautiful thread into the tapestry of my life.

We feel so lucky to have known Hannah. She was Beatrice’s first form teacher in Red Class, guiding the children with patience, kindness, and gentle firmness, giving them the most wonderful start to school life. She also taught Bea’s cousins, Dora and Gabriel, making each child feel seen, valued, and supported. Even after Bea moved on from Red, Hannah noticed she could use a little extra support with her English. She quietly arranged extra lessons in a way that made Bea feel proud and excited to be included. Hannah had a rare gift for making every child feel special, capable, and confident.
Because her beloved Rose is Bea’s friend and classmate, Hannah became not only a teacher but also a fellow Unicorn parent and friend. We loved her humour and admired her determination. She seemed to do everything with such grace—raising Rose, leading the Infants, and publishing four novels alongside her teaching. Yet through it all, it was clear that her greatest joy was her family.
Our hearts go out to Rose, John, Tatty, Sarah, and the whole Unicorn community at this time of unbearable loss. We will miss Hannah deeply and will always treasure our memories of her care, her humour, and her kindness.

Hannah was one of only a handful of exceptional early years practitioners I have had the privilege of working alongside. She had an unquestionable understanding of how a young child flourishes allowing those in her care to build the foundation blocks for their future education.
How she found time to write her novels I don’t know but her first one made me giggle out loud as I could ‘hear’ her voice and wry sense of humour through the actions and words of the main character!
She will be much missed but never forgotten

It was a serendipitous moment for Unicorn when Hannah returned from teaching in Spain. We needed help in the office and Hannah was looking for temporary work whilst applying for teaching posts. She proved to an invaluable colleague with wonderful, inter-personal and organisational skills. Happily, we didn’t lose Hannah to another school as a vacancy arose in Orange Class and we were all delighted when she accepted the post. Like her mother before her, Hannah proved to be an enthusiastic, dedicated and inspiring teacher with a warm and caring manner. A wonderful teacher and superb colleague, Hannah will be sorely missed by the whole Unicorn community.

I was so very sad and shocked to hear the distressing news about Hannah Langdon. I was her colleague for three years and always found her a delightful person to work with: friendly, kind, thoughtful and with a great passion for teaching. What a cruel loss for her family and the Unicorn School. It is a tragedy that she was taken too soon. My thoughts are with her family at what must be such a deeply painful time for them. Her star will shine bright.

When 5 year-old Orla came home singing 'When the Red Red Robin', which Hannah had taught the class whilst playing along on her guitar, I was delighted! Then to hear the whole class singing it in assembly was magical. We have so many individual and collective wonderful memories. As a teacher, Hannah was firm but kind, and always, always full of fun. We were lucky to have had her nurture all of our children - what a privilege to have known Hannah.
We will always warmly remember Miss Reynolds, Mrs Langdon, Hannah.

We were so sad to hear about the loss of Hannah. Having had her as a colleague and friend for my many years at Unicorn, I know the countless lives she touched, including both my boys Mike and Bob. She was known for the warmth she spread and her unquenchable passion and commitment to teaching. I am grateful to have known her. She was the sort of person who seemed to get so much out of life whether it was doing science experiments with Red class, musical theatre, writing or enjoying a cocktail! Her funny, warm and sensitive books came as no surprise. She will undoubtedly leave a Hannah shaped hole. Our thoughts are with you Lesley Anne, John, Rose and Sarah at this difficult time.

I have many fond memories of our Orange Class adventures with Miss Reynolds/Mrs Langdon. She led some great sing-a-longs with the guitar and always had a warm smile welcoming us into class. A special memory of mine is her helping me hold a baby chick. From Calan x

What a brilliant teacher Hannah was; so much fun, thoughtful, kind and with a brilliant sense of humour.
She touched so many little people’s lives, helping each of them grow and learn in those important early years. Our girls flourished in Orange class with Miss Reynolds at the helm and fondly remember her beaming smile, singing and guitar playing.
We loved watching her perform the thigh slapping Prince in the panto one year. So many strings to her bow.
What a huge hole will be left in the Unicorn family. Sending all our love to her family, friends and colleagues

Hannah could not have provided a more loving, caring, and nurturing beginning to Maisie's education in Red Class. Wise beyond her years, intuitive and supportive to children and parents, she was one of a kind. Hannah had that rare and wonderful quality of always making time for each and every child, inspiring and sparking their enthusiasm for all things. Her talents beyond the classroom as a writer were awe inspiring, and her modesty in all these achievements so very Hannah.
We cannot contemplate the enormity of loss for Rose, John and Lesley Anne, and our love and thoughts are with them at this time of immense sadness. Hannah's legacy of sparkle, humour, love, kindness and patience will stay with us forever. We are so very lucky Hannah touched our lives, and made life-shaping memories for so many Unicorn families.

When Georgie started at unicorn she was very little being the youngest in her year and it was quite a challenge getting her to settle. Mrs Langdon was absolutely everything to her in those initial weeks, being the warmest, kindest person, helping her to find her feet gently and also coming up with brilliant ways to make her feel at home including allowing her to wear a leopard print coat in class everyday which she adored and gave her something to call her own at school - we joked she was like a mini Pat Butcher stomping about the place! She shaped the start of Georgie’s education in the best way; she truly was a beautiful soul and we feel privileged to have known her.

Mrs Langdon or Miss Reynolds as she was when she taught me was an amazing teacher and always supported me and I have more recently really enjoyed reading her books and supporting her with her writing. I was in the Unicorn orange class of 2011 and have memories of Mrs Langdon playing her guitar and reading to us and just being so so lovely.

Hannah was a wonderful colleague during my time teaching at Unicorn School. I remember with warmth our chats in the Coach House kitchen; covering so many wide ranging topics. She was always there to share a story and a smile. After I moved on from Unicorn Hannah and I caught up regularly and it was always a joyous time. I will hold her in my heart and be forever grateful that our paths crossed. Thank you Hannah.

Not only did Hannah teach both my children in the coach house, she was a wonderful colleague, who always had time to chat and share a cup of tea. She was always so supportive of visiting music teachers and made us feel very welcome and part of the school. In recent years I have also enjoyed reading her very entertaining novels!
We are thinking of all Hannah’s family, and know she will be hugely missed by the whole Unicorn community.

Hannah will remain in our memories as the best possible first teacher to Luka when he started school. To this day, now in his last year at Unicorn, Luka loves coming to school and the foundation to this was laid by Hannah, with her nurturing enthusiasm, warm smile and passion for teaching.
No words can describe how sad we feel for her unexpected departure. We think of Hannah’s loved ones left behind and hope thay they will find some comfort in knowing that she will forever live in the hearts of children who were lucky to have her as their teacher at unicorn school and their families.

I first met Hannah when interviewing for my role at Unicorn, and she was one of the main reasons I decided it would be a good school to teach at; ironically, as her maternity cover, I spent most of the next year not actually getting to work with her, but she set me up at the start of the autumn term, then at the end of that year (spent in Yellow class) my contract was made permanent, so I had the privilege of a year actually working alongside her (and I would have stayed forever had it not been for a promotion to a school much nearer my home). Hannah was an inspiration. Dedicated, kind, wise, and calm under pressure. She had an excellent sense of humour, and a warm and gentle but firm approach. Deeply intelligent, creative, and fiercely grounded in putting the children's needs above all else, she was all that a teacher and senior leader within a school should be, and absolutely brought the best out of her colleagues. Looking back at my time teaching alongside her, I truly benefited from her wisdom and expertise, and these were some of the most fun years I had as a class teacher. Hannah's family and closest friends are very much in my thoughts and prayers at this time, as is also the whole family at Unicorn - colleagues, children, parents - the school meant the world to her, and she had a very special place within it. Such an incredible woman, who will be missed by so many, but absolutely never forgotten, and truly made a difference to all of the lives that she touched.

Mrs. Langdon was one of the kindest, most wonderful and caring teachers we had the pleasure to meet. Her welcoming smile and warmth played a huge role in our son starting his school journey in the most positive way possible, and we will always remember her so dearly for everything she did for the kids. She planted seeds of curiosity and kindness that will continue to grow in every child she taught. Though her time with us was far too short, her influence will live on in countless little hearts and minds.
Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with her family and loved ones.

Hannah was a wonderful person, teacher, mother and friend. Her passing is unbearably sad. She was an enormous part of the Unicorn community. She was funny, interesting, interested, warm and kind and that legacy will of course live on in the children and parents whose lives she touched. We were astounded to find out that she had also managed to write a few novels in her spare time! Our daughter Fordy enjoyed chatting to her at school in breaks and we were so touched that she gave her time to do this. Hannah- we will do more castle visits with Rose and Fordy and make sure they eat plenty of ice cream. May you rest in peace.

We still can’t quite believe this has happened... Each morning in the Red Class, Hannah’s big smile was just the right start to the day for children and adults alike. We feel so blessed that Mrs. Langdon was Antosha’s first teacher. She helped him find his feet — building his confidence and easing his social anxiety. Because of her, he became more sociable and easy-going, started making friends.
We’ll always remember Mrs. Langdon for her kindness, beautiful smile and quiet optimism. We’re heartbroken, and we hope Hannah’s Garden will flourish and keep her warm memory alive for us all.
With love,

We are devastated as a family and are still finding this news quite hard to believe. Hannah never taught Max as she was off on maternity leave when we joined. However, a memory of her that always brings a smile to my face was when she helped with some online learning throughout lockdown with Max’s Class. Max wanted me to upload a picture of something that he had made to share with with her and the class, instead of uploading that, I uploaded something a little inappropriate , despite a quick removal of said picture , it had us both giggling for the rest of the lesson, she had such a great sense of humour and we often laughed about it.
I will also be forever grateful of Hannah’s help, support, advice and love with Matilda. As her first teacher, Hannah helped Matilda enormously with her social anxiety and when she was too afraid to speak. She was wonderfully kind, had huge amounts of patience and always came up with new ideas to help strike up a conversation with Matilda, she even managed to get her to do show and tells eventually! She also supported me as a parent in Red and has always checked in as Matilda has gone up through Unicorn. Hannah you will be missed more than words can say, we are totally heartbroken at your passing and you will always hold a special place in our hearts .
Sending huge amounts of love and strength to John, Rose, Lesley-Anne and her Unicorn family.

This is such sad news. During my time teaching at Unicorn Hannah was a fabulous colleague, friend and teacher and is a big loss for the school and the staff. My thoughts are with all the staff at Unicorn and with John, Rose and Leslie Ann.

It’s hard to find the words for this small tribute, as Miss Reynolds always seemed invincible to me. She taught me in Orange Class 19 years ago and undoubtedly shaped the person I am today. She made my time at Unicorn unforgettable, and I feel so honoured to have experienced the magic of being in her classroom. I can still see myself sitting on the carpet, listening to her stories, playing games, and thinking, “I want to be like Miss Reynolds when I grow up.”
I will forever be grateful to her for being my guardian angel during my time at Unicorn. She was one of a kind and will always be remembered with love.

Hannah was the most brilliant and inspiring of teachers and a hugely important cog in the Unicorn machine.
My grandchildren Grace, Bella and Billy were taught by Hannah and they all absolutely adored her. No children could have had a better start to school than to begin their education with Hannah at Unicorn.
Hannah was also amazingly talented in music, singing and dancing, a highly successful author and of course a wonderful mother to Rose; what a rich and full life she led.
We should all be very proud to have known Hannah.
With my love to John and Rose and my dear friend and colleague Lesley Anne.

Though I only worked at Unicorn for two years, Hannah left a great impression on me thanks to her endless cheer and enthusiasm. She was a hugely supportive colleague and I have such fond memories of our chats. I will never forget Hannah playing her guitar in the classroom, with a sea of adoring little faces looking up at her. So many children have been enormously lucky to have her as their teacher. I was working with Hannah at the time that she met John and remember visiting her at home soon after Rose had been born and know how happy she was to have them both in her life. John, Rose and Lesley Anne are all in my thoughts and prayers.

It was a privilege to have worked alongside Hannah for so many years. As a colleague, she was endlessly supportive, always ready to offer help and advice. I will miss our chats and her lovely sense of humour. Hannah was one of the happiest and most contented people I have ever known, she truly loved her life, which makes it all the more devastating that it was cut so short. She will forever remain a cherished part of Unicorn, and I will miss her with all my heart

To say Hannah was a brilliant teacher would be an understatement. Her constant determination, caring nature, and clear passion for her work were clear to see from everyone, and having taught by her in my younger years, I can confidently say that without her, I would not be the same man I am today. Her presence will be dearly missed in the coach house, and I wish her family, friends, and Unicorn the very best in these challenging and tragic times.

Hannah was a lovely person and a brilliant teacher. She had a true understanding of the needs of young children and embodied the spirit and ethos of Unicorn. Hannah will leave a lasting legacy of warm and wonderful memories in the minds of all those children lucky enough to have been in her care in their early years at the School. . I send deepest condolences and much love to Lesley Anne, John and Rose.

Hannah was the absolute best of Unicorn. Amelia and Willoughby were both lucky enough to be taught by her in Orange Class and their first experience of full-time school could not have been more lovely. Last week, they both shared memories of Hannah playing the guitar, reading stories, and coping with chicks hatching in the classroom. I found Hannah supportive, understanding, and so beautifully down to earth. We are deeply grateful for everything she did for our own children and for the school as a whole. So much love to her family and her colleagues at this devastating time.

Mrs Reynolds ( as we knew her back in the early 2006/8') was both of my sons first year teacher at Unicorn . We could not have wished for a more delightful, caring and engaged teacher to take them through those precious early learniing years. We all have very fond memories of her, singing, reading, playing and inspiring them through that seminal year. The boys always skipped into school happy and excited, a testament to her professionally and personally. We are truly so very sad to hear of her tragic loss. Our love and thoughts to her young family and her colleagues and friends at dear Unicorn School. Melissa, Charles, Olly and Dylan Sharpe. xxxx

I am heartbroken to write this. Hannah was Bo's first ever teacher and was always totally amazing with her. She understood her and was always so child centred. She treated the children and parents with nothing but kindness and respect and understanding. She always took the time to chat through things with me and Bo and I shared some lovely picnics with her and Rose over the years. I wish John, Rose and Lesley Anne strength and love. A truly loving mother who was so very proud of her beautiful daughter. With love Tara, Matthew and Bo Carr x

Lockie was so lucky to have a term in Red Class with Mrs Langdon. Every morning, Hannah greeted us with such warmth and a smile. Her passion for the early years shone through in everything she did. Even now, when I bring Lockie to the classroom, I can feel Hannah’s presence, and I know her spirit will live on at Unicorn.
Our thoughts are and will continue to be with Hannah’s family at this sad time.
With love,

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Mrs Langdon, a truly remarkable teacher whose kindness and dedication touched our hearts and changed our lives.
As a parent who spent time in Red Class three times a week for my child's therapy, I witnessed firsthand the compassion, patience, and intuitive understanding Hannah brought into every moment with the children. She stood for everything the school promises — inclusion, care and kindness.
Hannah's support was instrumental in the therapies our child received. The therapist shared how much time is usually needed to help teachers understand the condition being treated — but with Hannah, it only took minutes. She simply got it. Her natural empathy and insight made her an extraordinary educator and human being.
Hannah's legacy will live on in our family. We will always cherish her memory and the profound impact she had on Tiam's journey. This is a great loss for the school community, and she will be deeply missed.
Our condolences to Hannah's family during this difficult time. May love and memories bring you peace and comfort. Hannah will always be in our hearts.
With love and gratitude,
Boti, Dan and Tiam

Miss Reynolds always had very big shoes to fill - joining the Unicorn when her mum was already a Unicorn legend, but fill them she did. From the 13 years as a parent of 4 at the school and then 5 years doing prospective parent tours - Hannah was always warm and welcoming, patient and kind. She embodied the Unicorn spirit and ethos. Our love and sympathy to Lesley Anne and the rest of the family. If there is anything we can do - please just ask. ❤️ Sarah, James, Ol, Anna and Izzy xxxx

Our family has been greatly saddened by the premature passing of Mrs. Langdon. Our two children, Julia and Leon, were blessed to have her as their first teacher in Red Class. From the very first day, they loved going to school, and we know this was largely thanks to Mrs. Langdon, who made learning interesting and fun, made them feel safe, and took wonderful care of them.
We will be forever grateful for all that she did for our children and for so many others at Unicorn. She has left far too soon but changed many lives and made the world a better place. All our thoughts are with her family, to whom we extend our sincere condolences.

I feel so lucky to have known Hannah. I admired her so much as a teacher, and as a Mum. She was so fantastic with my neurodiverse children, and never made me feel like they were hard work. She set the standard for teaching and motherhood in so many ways. She was such a wonderful mother in our class also, and our daughters are good friends. We send our huge condolences and love to Rose, John & Lesley Anne. Hannah will be missed every day at Unicorn School. Emily, James, Henry & Lyra Alford and all of the May family xxx

Hannah's Garden - Hannah was passionate about the Early Years and, in particular, the free flow aspect from inside to out that the coach house garden afforded children. She had been working with the Early Years team on plans to replace the astro and renovate the storage out in the garden and these works are planned for next Easter. We would like to re-name that space 'Hannah's Garden' and if you would like to contribute to some extra furniture and planting to make that space even more special, that would be wonderful.
